I personally pay 150 mil and sometimes throw in taxi, depending. But that is me. I visit once a month (streak probably going to get broken soon) and I have been visiting for 15 years.

A lot of girls will take 150 and provide great service. You might even get less (although I never push it, because I think 150 is fair). A lot of the girls want 200 (need to inquire as to whether that includes the taxi or they want taxi in addition). If she's hot or known for great service, maybe you pay it because you don't go often. I personally would never pay more than 200. For any of them. That's just me.

When I first talk to a girl, I often ask her to tell me what she expects. That helps me gauge the girl. When they give me a high number, I just laugh and tell them I am not a stupid gringo and I tell them what I usually pay for great service. Some do not count, but most often fall in line.

If you are offering to see a casa girl at your apartment. Or a stripper. Then I would give them less. Because it's still a lot more than what they get at work.

So is the conclusion that 150 is still the price to quote the putas? Several reports recently people have been paying 200/300.

Just want to clarify. I don't want to quote a fb girl 150 if the price is too cheap and she gets pissed off.

I like what you did. The financial terms are very reasonable. Unfortunately for me I have to work all week so even without the lockdown I would have limited chica time. I do have a couple of dates lined up Tuesday. A D1 clerk told me they will be open every day during the lockdown. I saw many people carrying Exito bags so I assume they will open as well. Rappi and uber eats are in full operation.

I got a lot of pressure from family to come home, but I just don't see the sense in traveling, at this time. I'm ok waiting this out, long-term. At some point, I'll need to consider the tourist visa / stay issue, but I feel extremely comfortable in my penthouse, with more amenities than anyone needs, and this cute bundle of fun. We woke up this morning and decided we needed to use the Merqueo app (she told me about it), to order food. 23 more days, minimum, is just insane, to me. I didn't want to wait until Tues / Weds when the majority of people will be stocking-up. So, we took over an hour to compose a delivery list, only to find out the service was too busy and not available. So, we ended up taking the option to go to the grocery store. We prepped a story as to not appear we were breaking the, "one person per household" rule, which was pretty easy since I'm a gringo in Poblado and she has a cedula from La Estrella..

Obviously we are paying less in $ due to the change in the exchange rate. I also remember when the exchange rate was about 1700 cop to the $1 and did not get any "discount" from the putas. The point of the video is that many, many guys are overpaying, other significantly. There is no doubt about it. I am not complaining about paying 150. I am just agreeing that there are a lot of idiots out there who make the repeat visitor's life just a little harder.

I should also say that when I first arrives in Medellin 15 years ago, there was no FB or Instagram. The prices I was paying was "set" by the Mansion at 150 (sometimes you could get for 120). It was artificial pricing set by the only place in town at the time. Obviously it was MUCH less in the casas and in Mayorista. And the exchange rate was about 2200, if I remember right. If we had FB back then, the price of the FB girl would have been much less than 150.

I don't like using "Simp" because IMO it's generally newbies that are foolish with overpaying, and we're all newbies once. However, defending giving them more because of the favorable exchange rate is pretty simpish. The exchange rate is irrelevant. These girls don't pay for anything in USD.

Anyhow, Exito Wow was unbelievably empty, given the circumstances. We loaded a cart to the brim, and I feel really confident in being able to ride this out, for the time being. I understand it's a fluid situation, and indefinite travel restrictions could shake all involved, but I'm ok with it.

I can't imagine having to be alone for 25 days. Right now, I just wrapped up work, and was browsing the latest Medellin, Colombia, coronavirus news, and jumped on ISG to see if there was any local info. She is watching some Spanish show on Netflix. She just gave herself a full spa day. Nails, creams, etc. We have plenty of alcohol, along with some massage oil and whipped cream. I think it would take a really really bad turn for the worse to make me feel like I made the wrong decision in staying here. Also, I had a blast last night making some steaks, having some drinks, and staring at a tv playing a Spanish series, while her head was on my lap. I've been known to take a risk or 5,000 in my life, and this will just be another one to add to the list. Much like when I am 12 beers deep and make a live sports bet on Tennis being played in Australia. I feel pretty good about this one! Let's see how it plays out.

Interested to hear what others are up to, if you are living full-time in Medellin, decided to stick it out, or are stuck here. Anyone eyeing that Tues-Weds non-quarantine window as an opportunity to hit casas, or anything? Going back to my original decision to shack-up, I just wasn't sure if girls would be willing or able to travel in and out, during the quarantine. And that was when it was only 4-5 days! Anyone having any luck or hesitancy with this?

One of my favorite girls came by today at 12 noon and I banged her brains out for about 4 hours? I thought everything was on lock down until Tuesday, but clearly she knows how to get out and get to me. As long as she comes to me and I don't have to leave my castle, I am a happy little king. 18 years old with a butt to die for and knows how to blow a flute, I can clearly say Amen, 2 times, this girl is a certified flute blower and a genuine pony rider. 4 hours, all for a crispy $100,000 mil. I think I understand you to mean you feel more comfortable in the US. I respect that, I might feel the same way if I spent more of my formative years there. What confuses me is you say it's very bad there and getting worse. I also see in the media it is likely worse than anyone knows for lack of testing.

Here in Colombia there is widespread testing. The first confirmed case in Medellin fully recovered as of today after a 14 day quarantine. We are on lockdown but there are no toilet paper shortages, prices are stabilized, gasoline was reduced to US $2/ gallon by presidential decree. Restaurant delivery services are operating normally and restaurants that cater to Colombians in operation. The number confirmed cases as of today are low (196) but rising quickly. Zombie apocalypse fantasies aside, it has already hit here. I see Colombians respecting the quarantine and cooperating with each other. In US media I see crowded beaches, spring breakers doing what they do, and an explosion of gun sales. I weighed it all against my health, financial, and professional situation and decided to be here. That is my point.

Which is happening as we speak. It will be very very bad. I would be looking for a quiet place in the country. Get some groceries, hunker down. And be ready for a couple of months of solitude. I would not be in Medellin or Bogota.

I had to go into quarantine when I got back home. That is totally fine. If I was exposed in Colombia or on the way back at least I won't be infecting anyone else. It's going to be really bad in the US. Actually it already is. Will make Italy look like child's play. Italy is up to almost 1000 per day dying. New York and parts of California not far behind. Just days really. And Colombia will be the same within a week or two. Not deaths yet. But the increasing of infections. And deaths a week or two after that.

Right now increasing at about 15-20 percent per day in North America. Also there very likely. So act when you have a chance. Just my 2 cents worth.

SMH. Let's be fair about it then. Let's go back to the first time when it was reported that the going rate was 150 k plus taxi. Now we can add in for inflation each year and recalculate.

Roughly speaking, if the going rate was 150 k in 2010, the going rate today should be about 220 k. Right? The cost of everything else tracks upward with inflation, unless some market pressure is holding it back.

With Medellin Facebook girls, the market pressure should be moving with inflation. There are many more gringo tourists using Facebook now than 10 years ago. I believe the growth in consumers has exceeded the growth of suppliers. Prices should be rising faster than inflation.

When you also consider the exchange rate in 2010 was around 2,000 to 1, and now it's 4,000 to 1, if you're paying 200 k today for what you paid 150 k for in 2010, you're currently paying $50 for something that cost $75 ten years ago.

And complaining that it's getting too expensive.

A few corrections / clarifications:

There is a minimum wage in Colombia. You are correct that real earnings have not increased for Colombians in nearly 10 years. The same is also true in developed countries including Canada, the UK, and USA. It is a myth that foreigners who pay above market rates move the market, albeit a widely held myth. Two reasons it is not true are (1) there are not enough foreigner clients as compared to Colombian clients and (2) the rates at even New Life where there are more foreign clients than any other casas are in line with all other Centro casas. Energy, Aisha, etc in Laureles are also in line with each other, as is mileroticos, photoprepagos, and similar Internet services. The outliers are the facebook scene, Gustos / La Isla etc, and gringo centric pimps and hotels like the Mansion. Those outliers are exceptional and they are a market in and of themselves. Their prices could triple and it would make no difference to me, but that's just me. I should also mention another big difference between now and ten years ago. Venezuelans are here in bigger numbers than ever.

I would replace "Simp" with "newbie. " Newbies only think of what it would cost back home. But after a while in this hobby, they start to wizen up. Eventually you find out what an average person earns in Colombia (or Brasil, DR, etc). At current exchange levels, the typical Colombian earns about $212/ month.

With time, guys also realize that paying more doesn't mean you get better service. It just lets the girl know that you don't know what's going on.

I guess there is quarantine here in Medellin, I really wouldn't know, I have been so busy working and keeping busy. Currently it just feels right, the currency, the lifestyle, and the girls; everything just feels right for a change. When you're earning between 5- 8,000,000 pesos daily and you still have time to bang 3 gorgeous chics, everything just feels right.

The times that I was in Medellin and had to rush to get back to the US, this feels right about all of the quickie sessions I had to make and felt short changed. So many chics in the Parque Botero are suffering and starving and not receiving dates and I have no concern, not one bit. Bad service, being rude, lying and being slick has brought about the few clients to Centro, coupled with the Covid 19; many of the chics may not survive.

I have a nice amount of chics so I just go to the Park to visit with friends and kick the BS. I have seen a few new chics that look worth banging but with the enemies that I made in the park, I can't get close enough to the new chics without the old chics seeing and attacking them, so I just smile and pretend that I don't want a cita. Not bad at all, just not as easy as it once was.
