My advice to guys who visit Medellin regularly is to hit the ground shopping around. I avoid accommodation like San Peter Apts and Energy where there are lots of gringos as I try to be anonymous in my hobbying destinations. What about us trying to reduce the sex tourism thing that Colombian NGOs love to make reference to. A mongering hub is too visible.
When I first visited Medellin and continuing for some years I stayed in hotels but after looking around I found accommodation that suits me well that is utilized mostly by Colombians with a smattering of foreigners. It is a furnished 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen for $40 per night, the reception knows me well by now and there is no problem with me bringing in the odd date. I am mostly a casa man so that is not very often. So guys move around, look around.

An infrequent, first time or hasn't been for many years visitor is a different story. They're more likely to want some assistance, someone to help with the mundane stuff like where and what to eat, how to find the casas and how to buy sildenafil. A mongering hub puts them in a more comfortable environment. It's probably the main reason the Mansion has the same guests who have been staying there for years.

It also avoids the issue of getting girls turned away because no guests are allowed, a frequent complaint. That's not much of a problem if you rarely bring girls to your apartment, but a big deal for guys planning on 2-3 girls a day.

For a first visit, for the typical visitor, go with a known entity. On your next trip devote some time to finding a more discreet environment, which better suits your requirements.

I've read this forum for years. Used it as a travel guide. MrEnternatiinal, Oldkool and others reports helped me plan my first ever trip to Sosua just from trip reports. So I know how to RTFF. I went back 50 pages here and flew out. Stayed in Poblado area. First place wasn't all that girl friendly but I booked for two so there. But they tripped about noise, blah blah. Switched to a place right around the corner. First night was a Monday. Wingman was down for the count so I walked to Parque Lleras myself. At 1130 at night. Earlier in the day I exchanged money at the western union in the exito. I'm not sure why that hasn't been mentioned (or maybe it has). Use your passport seemed favorable exchange rate. I also used the ATM in the exito as well. Went in gusto's, 20 k door damage. Met an Asian cat that gave me the lay of the land and an absolute clutch contact. Got one out Lleras but went against the warning signs of an aggressive chica. 250 k for toda la noche was the agreement. She darth Vader'the That shit and altered our agreement. One nut and ghost. Next day go to Botero but I could not pull from there. I tried to stand near that white church making eye contact, smoking a blunt. No bites. Maybe I looked to Colombian? Not as overt as Sosua and teajay. I couldn't tell who was in the game. I thought I knew but didn't get approached. So how do you pull out of botero? I'm so glad I didn't read about the chica getting robbed at gunpoint. I was there during that time. I think it was Thursday when people started whistling and running in the plaza like chasing a muthafucka. Cops caught dude by conjetas. Yeah went in there too 70 k FS. Your Botero experience is a good case for posting before your trip. Sosua and Medellin, completely different vibes. Medellin has a laid back, beach vibe and Sosua has the big city hustle vibe. Walking through the streets in Sosua is a full contact sport, at least it was when I went. It was obvious who the working girls were, because: A. Everyone on the street was working, be. Every one of them would make a grab for you.

In Medellin very few of the girls will make a move at you. If they do, avoid them. They're either a pickpocket, desperate, or a tranny. Most will just make eye contact and smile, a few will make an annoying tongue clicking sound.

In Botero Plaza, look for groups of 2 or 3 who aren't taking pictures of the statues. If they're just hanging out in the plaza, they're working. If you see one you want, just talk to her. I'll let Surfer500 school you on the best lines to use. I'd just say something like "buenas (generic Colombian greeting). Quiero una companera (there's supposed to be a tilde over that "and" " Although I'd toss in a few pleasantries first. Settle on a price and off you go.

For your Parque Lleras experience, TLN should be reserved for girls who rocked your world the first time. Not for first time sessions.

If you didn't visit any casas, I'd recommend trying them out next trip. You might also want to try out Facebook. If you plan on staying near Parque Lleras, you should have better luck with the Facebook girls.

What about the rest of your trip? Did you do anything else? What were the issues you ran into? What was your overall impression compared to Sosua?

I don't know what is up with this eye contact thing that some guys talk about. But it seems you have it backwards. You don't sit around and wait for them to come up to you. You walk around and look for them and you approach them. I think it is obvious the ones that are hookers. I guess as I have said before, nobody else is really standing around with slutty looking clothes doing nothing. Most people are downtown walking and taking care of business. The hookers are the ones that are loitering.

It takes patience to find a good one. Just keep making laps, until you see what you like, then pounce.

Why would you think it had to do something with you looking Colombian? I never see any foreigners downtown. If the hookers there had to depend on foreigners then they would starve. It is a local market.

It's easy to miss. Here are some tips.

Standing around, walk up to her and ask 2 things, tu estas trabajando (Are You working?) if she says yes, then ask, Cuanto por un rato Contigo (how much pesos to spend a short time with you!) problem solved. Pollo negro is out!

You should avoid that area. That is where most trannies gather.

You will see girls around statues or by the trees if you walk toward the direction of the museum and stop before the first intersection. Also a gringo smoking pot publicly is not a good idea

I've also mongered extensively in both Mexico and Russia, and, unless you're talking the good VFM in St. Petersburg, I do not see a good comparison.

The Russians may be as physically appealing but, IMHO, the Paisas blow pretty much everyone out of the water with their passion and engagement. As in all cases the caveat is YMMV.

I think you came across a few bad apples that left a sour taste in your mouth. I would definitely not give up on Medellin.

Loverboy, this doesn't sound like a GFE time you are having but a 20 year wife you wish you would have divorced 10 years previous. One thing I have learned from mongering is cut bait quick. If a escort or girl is supposed to be at your hotel at 10 and its 1030 leave. Don't play games with these chicks. I have to agree with you, I was not at all impressed with Colombia. Both Mexico and Russia are much better destinations, for me. If you like the fake asses MDE is the place, not for me and I also have fairly high standards. I would not go back to MDE, only for work, MDE was a major let down for me.

Honest answer: Nothing whatsoever.

With all due respect, it is a major tell when guys start bringing up the price of whatever back home. It means guys know they overpaid and are looking for a way to justify it. Don't get me wrong, I don't care what guys pay and it's none of my damn business. What I can't abide is not owning it. I do much better when guys say "I can afford it and I don't care if I pay more than I have to pay".

I'm back from Loutron and I'm quite satisfied with my experience. I was worried that the place would be a ghost town at 3 pm but I still got to see a lineup of 10+ girls.

My high standards once again came into effect and I found most of the girls fell into the 6-8 range but I saw 2 girls who were hard 9's and the girl I chose was one of the sexiest girls I've ever been with. (I reserve 10 for the most perfect girls and I don't think I've ever seen a 10 in this industry, although I have yet to meet any of those IG models).

I haven't been to MDE in a long time!

Assume you are an older world traveler with lots of game, street smarts, and fluent Spanish.

Assume you like the thin young types.

Assume you want to spend the first few days interviewing and then the last few days GFE with the best of the bunch.

Assume a budget of $100-200 a day for everything. As for hotel, you don't need luxury, but no bedbugs, no guest fees and walking distance to venues if possible.

What would be the perfect week?

You can do $100 day, in El Centro, no air conditioning and a questionable room, but the chance of perfect is slim. If money is an issue, I'd save money on food, rather than skimp on lodging. Shop around and you can eat 3 meals daily for 25-30 k. Also, whenever possible use the metro. Taxi charges add up.

If you're going the low budget route, follow Surfer500's advice. Hit up the street girls. It takes patience to find a good one. Just keep making laps, until you see what you like, then pounce. Try her out. If she has potential get her number. Repeat until you find enough for phase 2, the GFE dates.

Costs:

Lodging $25-$30 daily.

Food $10 daily.

Girls $40-$60 daily for trial runs (3-4 daily).

$50-$60 daily for 1 girl daily for GFE (long session).

I'd work on getting at least 100 girls on your Facebook. I already mentioned lodging. Food strategy remains the same, although you can splurge a bit. Set up the girls 2 per day, if you can handle that. You're going to pay more, but your tryouts will be for much longer and will likely be the GFE you're looking for. Select your favorites for phase 2.
