I was there in January, and planned on going back next week, but that trip's dead with the border still closed. There girls there were some of the best I've seen, so cheap too. LOL, the way you put it. I agreed with you, but want to add that, some of the inexperienced chicas, based on tutoring from their experienced sisters or just thinking it is cool may negotiate in USD. I think due to the smaller numerical value of USD, they may quote higher. Also, they probably won't get the exchange rate we get.

Being lazy and trying to avoid a discussion on the arbitrage of currencies (I am kidding), I just tell them, I don't have dollars, only pesos. That takes care of it. Also, these chicas are not very organized. I doubt they remember what they quoted. I had one chica who quoted 200 cop in messages. After arriving and being fed, and drinking and partying, when she was getting ready to leave, I asked her, how much I owed her, and she said 150 cop. So was thinking WTF. I just looked at the map. I think you can get to Quito and it is closer to Medellin than going thru Peru.

Never did a glue sniffer from centro. But I did know a FB girl who got into sniffing glue. Her name was Marilyn. Can't remember the last name. She was a cute spinner, but with an odd personality. Prior to the invasion of the Venezuelans, and about five years ago all of the glue sniffers known as Sacaleros used to line up along side of the Museum where the pedestrian walkway is and there were some pretty cute ones indeed. I used to refer to this area as 'glue sniffer alley' technically though it's not a Cahuilla.

As far as the Sacaleros there's a couple of issues. There pretty easy to spot, look for a plastic bag they put the glue into and sniff out of. Also, a lot of the Sacaleros are very thin as a result of sniffing glue. I am sure the experienced folks already know this, but I think it is best always to negotiate with chicas in COP.

One chica quoted USD 125 to set me up with her friend and her referral fee. I told her that was too steep and I can't do that. She said that is normal, because the girl gets 200 COP + 20 COP for taxi, and she gets 30 COP as referral fee. I agreed to that.

My Colombian visa was put in my passport at the Colombian consulate in Boston, Massachusetts. I then had 90 days to get my ass to Colombia and get my cedula which I obtained at the immigration office in Manizales.

That's good, I was in Colombia when obtaining my visa and they required it be sent to Bogota, so being able to renew in a Colombian consulate is good news, thanks for the info.

My post was about obtaining an "investors visa" which qualifies you for residency, and is good for five years and obtaining this type of visa does not require obtaining a temporary visa first, but making an investment. And to obtain the Cedula, your Passport needs to be sent to Bogota to obtain the Visa that they paste into your Passport (and you don't need to appear in person to do this), and with the visa than in your Passport you can obtain a Cedula at any immigration office.

As far as buying real estate in Colombia it's tricky, kind of like the wild west with no escrow or title companies, and lots of gringos get burned and duped in the process.

All jokes aside, I do have a business need to go to Medellin, I have consulted lawyers in both the US and Colombia, they all told me that in the short term, there is no way to get in while the travel ban is in place. S. Plus, I much rather talk about something interesting and potentially fruitful than shopping charts and ATM fees.

What has been talked about in how you might return to Colombia (bribing officials, boat / motorcycle travel, and hitchhiking across different Countries) has been interesting for sure in that it has been so absurd, and yes is more fun reading about than the posts about ATM's.

The only way I can think of you getting back to Medellin quickly short of everything to date mentioned is that you would have to assume the identity of either a Colombian Citizen or perhaps a Colombian resident somewhere in the world who can return on a humanitarian flight approved by Colombian immigration. I am clueless as how you might go about doing this short of enlisting a CIA operative to assist you, and you might have to get a phony face like something out of a Tom Cruise movie.

I will say this, when you do return, I am looking forward to your posts when you finally pull off some good foursomes. I think when you left you had the threesomes perfected, but were still working on the foursomes.
