Colombianas are happiest in their natural environment, Colombia. The ones that are in the states for whatever reason, parents, marriage, etc. Very quickly realize they have a valuable commodity, namely their good looks and soon start to acquire the gringa attitude and thinking that her cuca vale oro. Good call Hector. I agree with you to some extent. In defense of the guys on the ground here in Medellin there is definite disconnect between board reality and the real world. I find it myself hard to write at times with my experiences being so vastly different from the experiences of others. El Centro being dangerous for one? One night about 8 pm I was bored and called Wilt and we met in El Centro. We walked all over and ended up in Periodista smoking a joint about 11 pm. This foreigner was wandering around the park spaced out of his mind on drugs. He had a bag around his neck and some other loose valuables. I said to Wilt what I feel about El Centro in general. I am disappointed in the criminals in El Centro. There are plenty of easy targets IMO and not as many crimes as I would expect. I am sure I could steal a few iphones a day from tourists taking pictures in El Centro if I wanted. El Centro has the strongest police force that I have seen recently. This has forced pot smokers like me off the streets and in the backrooms of casas.

Although I complimented Vitrea for reporting recently I do not criticize others who don't want to. Many experienced board members can add something in other ways other than just writing reports..

That was an interesting walk in the park. I think I grokked much of it and agree with one of your fundamentals: the right mix of pros and non-pros makes for good times in Medellin. Of course, as others have noted, there is a fuzzy line between pro and non-pro.

I want to make the case for the older non-pro. In my case, "older" means 35+. I am 50's but look 40's. If you are age 30, then older maybe means 25+.

I find that some of the girls over 35 in Medellin are quite attractive -- and all are severely underutilized. The Colombian men, and many of the foreigners, ignore them. Yet they have their advantages: jobs, cars, apartments and, most of all, a severe desire to be ridden to the ground multiple times a day. Look for the girl who in her prime was a 9 or 10. Now she may have slipped to 7 or 8, but if you can find her, she may be worth the trouble.

My current non-pro favorita is 40 (looks early 30's). She has a beautiful face, decent body, job / car / apartment, and isn't interested in my money or a visa to another country. I buy dinner most of the time and she buys occasionally, too. She invites me to her apartment and proceeds to treat me like a king. Last time she gave me a shirt as a gift. I strongly agree with you on the older girl angle. The 30+ year old women in Medellin are amazing. They hold their looks real well. The older women are much more mature also. Taxi Drivers. I have done pretty well with taxi drivers. It is very important to get taxi drivers to respect you and feel them out. During the summer I met a cool taxi driver. After talking with him for a while I saw that this guy would be good for girls. I would say 1 in 50 taxis meet my confidence level. He was using all this slang and getting hyper though. I told him to pull over. I said that I liked him but if we were going to continue to eliminate all the slang and speak baby Spanish with me. Both of these guys were not getting laid and for different reasons. The first guy I don't think got out much. He was a conservative Midwest guy. He asked me to email him a casa map. A week later I ran into him at Energy. He was the guy I wrote about a while back for receiving the light into another dimension with the casas. I don't think that guy will ever be the same. I lived in LA for several years and there is a big concentration here. They even have a consulate in the middle of Beverly Hills in the Hustler building of all places...wait, thats the Brazilian consulate but hell both are down the street from eachother. Some are under 25 some a tad older. The great thing about Colombian women is, they maintain friendships even if they eventually get a boyfriend, get married, and even have children. Trip report.

Day 1 Panama Layover.

This trip (layover) doesn't seem worth it anymore. I got to Panama at 730 pm and was scheduled to leave at 730 am. I had a room reserved for 2 people at the Veneto. I have an amiga in Panama that is from Barranquilla her husband is a taxi driver and so she sent him to pick me up at the airport. I hear that taxis in Panama can be dangerous as there is and influx of Colombian and Venezuelans that are migrating over. They are sometimes scamming tourist or plain out robbing them. Taxi ride round trip $60 USD.

So I'm at the Veneto. Time to gamble and find 2-3 chicas till its time to depart again. I ended up with 2 different Cali chicas. First one was real nice. Slim pretty face and real horny. She coming on kinda strong. I was at the craps table and doing pretty good while she is trying to chat me up. I finally said hey let me finish rolling then We can discuss pricing. She wanted $150 usd. I laughed. Finally got her down to $100. This sums it up pretty well. If one is spending a month or more at a time in MDE, going after non-pros makes sense. And in fact, a decent-looking guy with time on the ground and Spanish ability will have more women than he knows what to do with.

OTOH, for the short-term visitor, going after non-pros is generally a waste of his precious vacation time. I've done it a few times just to mix things up. But in general, if I'm there for a week or so, I want to make efficient use of my time. I can go after non-pros all I want at home in the States.

I have traveled to LOS, Cambodia, Philippines, Panama And Colombia.

I stay for months at a time and never did I go looking for non pros. If I meet a pro I like, I keep her around longer. My whole point of traveling is to get away from the dating game.

The idea of of spending money on planes and hotels to go to a place to date. The definition of dating is spending money on a maybe. It doesn't matter what country you are playing the game.
