Actually it's the 6th mayoral candidate killed this election cycle across the country. Municipal elections are held every four years -- still have until Oct 27 to add to that number.

Seems like the rebel groups are ramping up violence as of late. That said, this shouldn't affect any of us staying in Poblado, Laureles, or Envigado.

Just last night a girl who I've been seeing for years and have treated well (and confirmed again on Whatsapp that she was coming over an hour prior) never showed up and even blocked me on Whatsapp and Instagram. Talk about a stab in the back that ruined my evening. She goes by the username karencastell6 on IG if any of you wants to call her a massive kunt for me.
Every girl and every one of us is just an option. Not just in mongering, but in any social situation. How often do people cancel on short notice with a lame excuse? How often have you cancelled because you didn't want to do whatever someone had planned? Or because something better came up?

Why should the girls be any different? Forty minutes in a taxi to spend an hour with some guy she probably would rather not see, then another long taxi ride, doesn't stand a chance when her best friend shows up with money and wants to party. Or when her boyfriend drops by. That's not a judgement on whether or not the girls want to see you. Just an observation that most mongers don't look like the guys these girls normally hang out with.

We all should know by now that many Colombians don't like to give a direct "no" answer. It's easier to say "yes" and then come up with an excuse later.

Of course there are real reasons why girls don't show up. I remember one girl wanting to wait until the rain stopped. It didn't make sense to me, until I learned she had to walk about 10 blocks down some steep hills, just to get a taxi. Girls cancel because they can't find someone to watch the kids or because someone else stuck them with watching their kids. Not all the excuses are bull.

My choice is to not let anyone ruin my night. If I'm not getting a response, I send a message with a time limit for a response. If I don't get an answer I send a "sorry, but something came up. You didn't answer, so I assume you won't be here on time. I'm leaving now. Maybe we can try another day" message. No need to be rude or nasty. Just cancel and move on to someone else.

I may be wrong, but I'm going to assume the girl didn't just block you for no reason. She probably had a reason for not showing up (maybe a good reason, maybe a crap reason). I'm just guessing that your reaction to her not showing up may have offended her.

If you're picking girls off the street, in the casas or the strip clubs, it's a simple business transaction. They're at work, you're a customer. The customer service may not be the best, but you'll usually get the minimum you paid for.

If you're getting women from social media, there's a constant trade-off. They're also picking you. They're getting input from your social media, from their friends and from your interaction. In my opinion, you can get a better experience this way, but there are obstacles.

From most reports she sends out photos to people in the WhatsApp group on a regular basis. Also from most reports, it always seems the girl you want is never available when you want her.
That's been my experience as well. She used to have a helper of sorts named Isabel Rodriguez but they had a falling out and now they both run their own competing Whatsapp groups where they trash talk each other. Neither group is really worth following and you're better off just building up your social media friends list.

Maybe it is because I came from pimping before getting into mongering. I don't feel the need to warm up to and build rapports with hookers. I have plenty of normal chicks to take up company with from a social standpoint. When I am ready, I know how to tell a hooker to bring that pussy over here and I will lay some bread on you at a moment's notice. One call and that's all! (not 1800 messages back and forth over 3 weeks - it doesn't take all of that to get some pussy.)

I guess that's better than "nut sack. ".

Maybe that would be the bag to carry around. You would get a lot of strange looks, but what guy is going to grab a scrotum off your back?

Dress and Attire Guidelines For El Centro- No Water Bottles or Sunglasses

Interesting posts about man bags, fanny packs, backpacks, shorts, etc. If the intent is to be as much as possible under the radar or seem less than a gringo, there are other things that will give you away as a foreigner in El Centro.

If your in Poblado or Laureles you will see Colombian in shorts. But in El Centro very rarely.

Sunday's are an exception and you will see more people wearing shorts all over town, but again hardly in El Centro.

In regards to man bags and fanny packs, I haven't ever seen Colombians with these. However, backpacks are worn by just about everyone.

So a dead ringer that you are foreigner in El Centro is if you have a bottle of water in your hand. Seems odd perhaps, but the water is potable in Medellin, and the locals are not going to pay 2,000 Pesos for a bottle of water. The alternative are the plastic bags of water, 500 Pesos and that's what keep's me hydrated when I am there.

The next item that will give you away in El Centro besides jewelry etc, is if you are wearing sunglasses. May seem odd, but the locals in El Centro don't wear them.

So if you have dark hair, a darker complexion, not blue eyes, wear old jeans and a T-shirt and a backpack you will not stick out like a sore thumb in El Centro and may be able to pass as a Colombian.

A short sleeve shirt gives me all the ventilation I've ever needed in Medellin, even in midsummer. I don't personally care what anyone wears. Look at a few street views of the city and decide for yourself what to wear.

You're right Angie is not all that hot and she is closer to 30 but what a great attitude! I went with her a few weeks ago and anytime I visit Aife she is always chirpy and friendly with me even though I never repeated.

When I first came to Medellin many years ago no men wore shorts and I decided definitely not to wear them. Now so many male Colombians walk around in shorts that I almost always wear them.

Fase II you have to time right, get there after 11 pm on a Fri / Sat night and they will have 50+ girls on past 12. Most I find to be hot with the top 5 being "Oh damn, got to have me some of that!
