Thanks for all the informative posts here. My friend and I are headed to Medellin the second week of October and your posts have been of immense help to plan the trip. I have PM-ed some of you and thanks for all the great suggestions. I have been trying the facebook route and have started talking to a few chicas. Have any of you spend time with the below two of them. Two of the pics are of Luisa and two of the others are of Jiminez. Would love to know your experience. Want to line up appointment before we land.

These are my favorite kind of posts. There are literally thousands of chicks selling themselves here. Wny do people post pics and ask "Does anyone know these girls?" It's almost impossible. Even going to a place like New Life, they probably have 50 chicks working there. When the lineup comes through, I can't even remember their names to pick one.

But at one point you must swap sim cards or have an international plan on an American company's system. It all sounds nice until you arrive here in Medellin without an unlocked foreign phone and attempt to use it. Good luck walking into any official tigo store & officially registering a phone with an American passport. You can buy sim cards at any tigo carrier, but after 30 days, they will block the phone. I can assure you this! Pollonegro is out!

Go to claro.com.co, follow the links to mobile and register the phone with your passport and the phone number of your Claro SIM. The bit about a receipt pertains to phones purchased in Colombia. Your IMEI will indicate to Claro whether the phone was purchased in Colombia or not. Good luck.

I received this text from claro, it says: "Because Your equipment is not approved in Colombia. It will be blocked in 45 calendar days if it is not homologated. If you bought it in Colombia, complain to the equipment vendor! " I can't make this stuff up, pollonegro is out!

Since you teased it a little bit. What do you rank as the most effective option?

Depends on what you're looking for. What do you like about Pattaya specifically?

There is a lot of good advice (and warnings) about Tinder and Facebook and other platforms as far as establishing some contacts before you arrive. I live here, but my experience has been that these have been more expensive and less dependable. And they take a lot of work, although the work can be kind of fun, especially if you're prepping for a vacation.

If you want to immediately get into the action, go to a place like Energy where you'll get a lineup of talent and can choose your personal 8+. Five minutes later you'll both be naked.

If you want to establish a little chemistry first, go to one of the Centro clubs: Conejitas, Barra Executiva, or Maracaibo. (All of these are on the shared map. Hopefully you've discovered that already).

If you want company outside of the clubs, my favorite method is meeting a girl at a club, developing chemistry, sessioning, and then seeing if she wants to continue outside as a short-term or long-term GF. I've found that most are interested. Plus, you've already developed chemistry, and they're usually cheaper than Tinder / FB / etc.

If you have experience in Pattaya, nothing should be too intimidating as far as El Centro. Be smart and you'll be fine.

Create an alternate profile for yourself. Do a little research on girls that are known and open prepagos. Start a convo, then ask for a cita. They will say a number, ask what is included, then bargain. Try a few below. I spent 2 months building mine before my first trip. I literally have a spreadsheet. If they don't respond on facebook, try instagram.

I'm sorry this happened, but it makes me wonder if people actually read this forum. There is some very good advice on here (and occasionally bad advice). One of the warnings most frequently offered is don't drink anything that's been out of your sight, even if for a few seconds.

Even reading through Trip Advisor will likely give you some of the same warnings.
