I'm heading down to Colombia this week and was wondering if I can get a prepaid SIM card for my old unlocked Samsung phone. I would rather leave my actual phone in the apartment in case I get pickpocketed or robed. It's only happed to me once in Mexico but better safe than sorry. I just want to have internet availability without having to hunt free WiFi. Any help is always appreciated!

My suggestion is to sign up with google fi. It could be a tad bit higher but worth it.

Plus when purchasing SIM cards you often need to present your passport. If your phone is stolen and crimes committed on your phone you may be in trouble.
