I was heading out to this location but 3 or 4 taxi drivers refused to go there saying it's too dangerous. Not sure if things have worsened in the area or maybe some are open to more risk.

It's more quiet than before. Conejitas is just ugly, but it's an experience to try, if one knows how to move around.

Respectfully (no irony), taxi driver may have assessed your look (evident foreigner? evident money availability?) and judged it more suitable to Fase II but not compatible with the Centro streets at night.

My advice to those who think "should I go or shouldn't I? Is it dangerous or is it not?": try to go to Centro at afternoon to visit the Museum. Then go around bars. Then wait 6-7-8 PM. When you think you are passing the threshold of risk, go back (by taxi).

If you feel there is no risk, but your Galaxy S6 is not in your pocket anymore, then you made a mistake. If your S6 is still in your hand, and you wonder why 10 teen guys are following you, then you made another mistake of evaluation.

PS: forget Conejitas and go to Barra Executiva not far away. Go there by taxi. Don't walk around if you don't know where to go. Much better.

I used these in San Jose, Costa Rica. Lots in Ecuador too. They are not a new concept.

If you really try Motel Ibiza and compare it with the best love motel you can find in, say, Guayaquil (where I spent MANY weeks along 4 years now), then you'll get what I am saying.

(another issue is to provide the content to the motel room: no way one can find in Guayaquil a girl like those hotties crowding Medellin).

Looks nice. But why is your discovery of this in Colombia such a huge revelation? Love motels exist for years in Japan, and cabanas are all over the DR. Don't know why this make Colombians so much more evolved.

1) Because in my poor mongering life (see the list of reports in ISG) I never had the opportunity to see such luxury love motels for 20 USD, and worth 6 hours. Again: one has to go and see, before comparing.

2) Because in this Medellin thread there is a huge amount of posts, but not a single one about where to take the girl except the Mansion room or a rented apartment. Since upper class hotels never accept easily the introduction of "guests", there is a gap of information in this thread which I aimed to fill.

Therefore, the revelation is: Guys, if you have a girl and don't want / cannot take her to your hotel room or apartment, try something new for modest fee. Do yourself a favour, enjoy jakuzzi, see her dancing on the pole, try the love chair, see a porn movie with her, try special massage oils, try the sauna (even this, yes), call friends.

I never read all this in this thread. This is the Revelation.

So yes it is a place unique to other Latin American destinations.

If I well understood, there is no other place in Latin America with so many gringoes concentrated in a small village, except maybe Panama City and its Venetto Casino.

I went there last night about 11 pm and only maybe 25 girls but then again it was the valentine day of Colombia yesterday. Still 10 k entrance. Clean. Good mix of girls. Nobody was approaching me really. Left after a while. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn't drink so I don't know if the price of 16 k is correct.

For Medellin, if you are in Centro try Lafayette. Surprising, if one looks at the neighborough. (There are also small places for 10 k un rato, but it's for special cases LOL).

I was in Beijing earlier this year and saw tons of foreigners working in the city, and tourists at the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Does that take away the "Chinese' ness" of the city?

But you may be right, Sosua was only primarily developed after DR accepted Jewish refugees to settle there during WWII. So yes it is a place unique to other Latin American destinations.

Very true. Sosua is sort of a unique place. Small town with everything in walking distance, nice beach, lots of available chicas.

I second the endorsement of Hotel / Motel Ibiza! Great place. Very discreet. Great price. Clean. Updated. Great Jacuzzi and shower. Only problem is that you might run into a problem in prime time (e. G. , Friday and Saturday night). I took a chica there last Friday night and got to the front gate only to be stuck beyond three other taxis and to be told by the guy at the gate that it would be a 50 minute wait.

My taxi driver actually took us to one or two more decent places with the same issue. We finally ended up in some lower quality place in Estrella (Motel Estrella, I think). Clean, cheap and safe enough, but no amenities. Just a place to fuck.

Please Help any info is welcomed. My guys and I (3-4) want to try Colombia for the first time. We are veterans of Sosua DR but want to try a different country. I'm the one pushing for this so I want to make sure we don't waist this trip. I have a few questions but again all info is welcomed. I have done some research.

1. Medellin (city) or Cartagena (beach) for late night action? All in all which is better? We like the daytime action at Sosua Beach but I hear Cartagena isn't that nice.

2. Is Oct a good time to go?

3. Best area to stay? My research said Poblado.

4. I guess we are looking for the Colombian version of Sosua DR. Is that unrealistic?

5. We are use to taking chicks with us out the club. Is that safe? Do they do that?

6. Prices we should expect for an 8, 9, 10.

Medellin is great for beautiful and inexpensive women, nice weather, clean city. I would stay at the Mansion, otherwise you will have to do a lot of leg work to keep your fuck calendar full. Medellin has massive talent but it not a mongering destination like Sousa. Most independents are 150-200.000 COP, casa girls about 1/3 that.

Stay at DelRey and you won't face these risks? Well, think twice. There are risks everywhere or just asked that dead guy.

According to the article you posted they think this guy died of natural causes. So what risks are you referring to in this case in your post.

The two don't compare and are both very unique. Cartagena is also extremely hot and you might find yourself sleeping in the day and going out at night. Sosua is far far easier to get action day or night. Cartagena is difficult to land girls at the beach and you really have to meet them, get their phone and set a time and place. Sosua is also much cheaper.

Take a look at Santa Marta but you will have the same day issues as Cartagena and the city past Santa Marta can be more dangerous.
