I just looked at the travel requirements for my Delta flight which was updated today and it no longer has any test requirements. It's said you only have to register on the Colombia website within 24 hrs prior to arrival.

He's flying to Bogota first. I'll update on his customs experience. I'm heading down Tuesday. Hope they have one hand talking to the other by then. I'll keep you posted.

I am a little bit skeptical about this and just got tested for a flight on COPA this coming Friday. I would suggest anyone travelling within the next few days to still get tested, and when I register with Migracion I will find out if it's still a requirement.

Seen from another standpoint: compare all that with the requirements and procedure for travellers wishing to enter most developed Asian countries, beginning with PRC, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Japan, etc. Then wonder: where COVID is under control? Where is it more likely to disappear sooner? Ultimately: where would you feel safer? There is always a reason behind physical phenomena, and we are responsible for our future.

I'm also concerned about this. I'm planning on flying out Monday so I'll probably still get tested just in case I still need it. Unless someone that goes there without in the next few days and confirms that we don't need it.

I think the test has been dropped due to all the Colombian people who were either turned away at the USA airport as they for whatever reason the test was not right. Also maybe they have complained to the Colombian government that paying $200 just to get on the plane was to much of a hardship for them.

Whatever the reason it is good for us. Now they need to get a cure for this virus so all the places can open up as it should be.

I'm hoping to see something official from the government before Friday. I'd love to save the money for the test, but I'd hate to get to Medellin and be told that the test still is required.

If I can get some confirmation from the government, I'll find out if Copa will let me move up my flight by a day. I'd rather spend that time in Medellin than Miami.

Other than confirming the testing requirement change I'm all set. Bags are packed and ready.

While packing I found I had more pesos than I thought, including lots of small bills and a few coins, just over 250 k. See, there is a reason if travellers from Colombia in previous 14 days are NOT allowed to enter Italy and Schengen, period, with or without quarantine, PCR tests, whatever.

Doesn't make sense that the Government would drop a testing requirement that really doesn't cost them anything to manage like they have been doing. I have to assume they are desperate for tourists. And as far as other Countries not wanting travellers from Colombia like in Europe, the State of New York requires testing before entering the state, and testing again after three days for all whether it be travellers from within the USA or abroad. Again, it kind of defy's logic that Colombia would drop their testing requirement.
