As far as cancellation, they won't likely give you your deposit back (that's what a deposit is for -- to protect them in case you cancel and the room is left vacant). What they will do is just apply it to your next visit, which IMO is more than fair.

While I agree that being in M1 is nice for the spontaneity it gives you, don't let being in M2 stop you from going. It works fine for lots of guys and in fact there are some things that are better about it. You'll have a good time either way.
The taxi ride between M1 & M2 is 5 K or less than $2 US. Talking to Alexa about cancellations, they do offer refunds if your space is readily taken, otherwise as said, they will use the deposit for next trip.

I don't mind a little walking but I think it could get a bit cumbersome with a girls in tow I will try to book in M1. I have a few months before my trip (May). But I know my dates which are set with vacation time form work. Do you guys think I should I book now? Is there any penalty for cancellation?

Barkey, you must be excited about your upcoming trip! I wish you the best of luck and hoep you have a great time. And I hope you will post your experiences.

    Uncle V.

Only from what I've read here the hike up to M-2 sounded intimidating. Since I am no spring chicken I hoped for M-1...to at least save the heart attack for the room and not on the way to the room. Alexa from the hotel said it is not uncommon to take a taxi to M-2. For me, compared to walking up the hill late at night this seemed to be a good option. The ability to easily check on the chica availability was also a plus.

As for the girls, even if the walk is only half as bad as some people say, I couldn't imaging walking in "those" shoes! Let alone after a few (too many) drinks.

I booked about 2 months in advance. At that time they said that M-1 was booked for the dates I wanted. A weekend. They did have plenty of M-2 rooms available. I was happy to hear, when I checked back a couple of weeks ago, that they now had one room open at M-1. I was all over that. Again, from what I read here, the place can be quite busy especially on some (US) holiday weeks so if you know your itinerary in advance it would be best book as soon as possible to get the room of your choice. My CC was charged for one nights' stay and I assume it would not be refundable if cancelled at the last minute.

I'm just staying my first two nights in Medellin at the Mansion and then off to Santa Marta for for four nights and then return to MDE for a few more nights. I'll do a regular hotel then. As I write this my amiga is (supposedly) in the travel agency booking her flight to meet me. The whatsapp beep is going off every 30 seconds as we try to get the dates right. Talking sand to the beach. I know but I also know that I'm going to have a damn good time.

Thanks for the good wishes and I enjoy your Thailand reports. Maybe next year. If I can pry myself away from the Colombianas!

    Barkey.

    Dental Hygienist

    Hola Dudes,

I will be in MDE in a little over a week. I'd like to schedule an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Can anyone recommend a Dental Hygienist? Contact info would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Judd.

Perhaps it even helped. Don't know.

I had lots of rookie questions and Alexa and Carlos were very helpful in answering my questions and with the reservation process in general. I was only able to book a room in M-2 when I first made my reservation a couple of months ago. I had read about the nasty walk up the hill and for that reason I would have preferred to be in M-1. A couple of weeks ago thought I would give it a shot and see if there were any cancellations in M-1 for the dates I would be there. To my surprise I was told yes and they had no problem with me making the change.

So far, so good. I will report on my trip soon.

Yes I was. Alexa booked me for the m1 house. I just thought was very awkward to be very specific where I heard about them. I am just ready to have some fun over there.

I'm making my third trip to Medellin in Mid-October. First two, I split between the Mansion and private apartments. This time around, I planned specifically around being able to get into M1, as I found on my last trip that during the day there were some girls hanging around the pool area who attended school at night (and thus you wouldn't see them at the bar in the evening). Staying at M2 would create a major inconvenience as far as I am concerned because I like the spontaneity aspect, plus I like hanging out with the guys.

I think some guys are overthinking it a bit. The reason the Mansion is asking you where you heard about them is because they don't want any clueless non-mongering people to book there and then get freaked out when they see the working girls and cause a scene. They're not looking for some super secret password or something. Just say you heard about them on ISG or another forum. Or maybe you know some guys who have stayed there before.

I am planning to visit Medellin early December. Where is the best place to stay at and meet follow mongers at? Are there any social places where I can meet and get with someone besides the houses "casas" such as the Del Rey or the Sportsman like in CR. I was trying to get a reservation at Hotel M from previous posts I read and heard its a good place for a 1st timers. I am trying to make reservation but they are asking where I heard about them and do not want to mention this site or others that I visit. Was going to give some BS like Expedia but couldn't find them LOL. Anyways are there any other places that are preferred where there are women at? I do know some Spanish to carry a basic conversation and understand a little better? Any info would help greatly.

    Thanks in advance.

There are tons of regular girls on Tinder, and my paisa buddy got some dates off it. But you'd need a good photo to get noticed, and then some text game to get a date.

For finding prepagos online, mileroticos. Co is a much more direct way, though I haven't tried it.

    The correct address is http://co.mileroticos.com/.

    "Anuncios erticos profesionales Gratis Colombia".
Thanks for the information I actually will be looking for some regular girls this time and think my Spanish skills are sufficient enough but will find out soon enough.

Once few days before Christmas, all is said and done, and girls have made their money, then go to be with their families thought New Year's day.
+1 to this sentiment -- I was down there at the end of last year (and will probably be there the first weekend of this December) and it's almost distressingly easy to find something you like at any given time of day. While I'm not in the camp of "go to the Mansion on your first visit", I don't think it'd be a detriment to your trip if you can get the booking. I prefer staying closer to Parque Lleras and the Mansion gives me the same vibe as Field of Dreams in the DR, but that only works because of how far out it is and how undeveloped the Sosua / PP scene is compared to a lot of the region. There's practically no chance of not finding a girl you want to fuck in MDE if you're hitting the places on the monger map that you see pop up most in this thread, so for me a lot of the impetus of staying at that kinda place is removed, but YMMV. Having said that, I always run into Mansion visitors in the waiting area at New Life and (to a lesser extent) Energy, so you can certainly do both.

    Tinder

Highly recommend Tinder! Found my best girls through there. I would say about 20% are prepagos. One piece of advice would be to not ask if they are and let them tell you as you can ruin a free hook up like that as I did way too much there. Have fun!

Any feedback would be helpful as I want to try something different besides roaming the streets of El Centro looking for women on my next trip in November.

    Thanks in advance!
