While I agree that being in M1 is nice for the spontaneity it gives you, don't let being in M2 stop you from going. It works fine for lots of guys and in fact there are some things that are better about it. You'll have a good time either way.

Only from what I've read here the hike up to M-2 sounded intimidating. Since I am no spring chicken I hoped for M-1...to at least save the heart attack for the room and not on the way to the room. Alexa from the hotel said it is not uncommon to take a taxi to M-2. For me, compared to walking up the hill late at night this seemed to be a good option. The ability to easily check on the chica availability was also a plus.
As for the girls, even if the walk is only half as bad as some people say, I couldn't imaging walking in "those" shoes! Let alone after a few (too many) drinks.
I booked about 2 months in advance. At that time they said that M-1 was booked for the dates I wanted. A weekend. They did have plenty of M-2 rooms available. I was happy to hear, when I checked back a couple of weeks ago, that they now had one room open at M-1. I was all over that. Again, from what I read here, the place can be quite busy especially on some (US) holiday weeks so if you know your itinerary in advance it would be best book as soon as possible to get the room of your choice. My CC was charged for one nights' stay and I assume it would not be refundable if cancelled at the last minute.
I'm just staying my first two nights in Medellin at the Mansion and then off to Santa Marta for for four nights and then return to MDE for a few more nights. I'll do a regular hotel then. As I write this my amiga is (supposedly) in the travel agency booking her flight to meet me. The whatsapp beep is going off every 30 seconds as we try to get the dates right. Talking sand to the beach. I know but I also know that I'm going to have a damn good time.
Thanks for the good wishes and I enjoy your Thailand reports. Maybe next year. If I can pry myself away from the Colombianas!
Barkey.

Hola Dudes,
I will be in MDE in a little over a week. I'd like to schedule an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Can anyone recommend a Dental Hygienist? Contact info would be helpful.
Thanks,
Judd.

I don't mind a little walking but I think it could get a bit cumbersome with a girls in tow I will try to book in M1. I have a few months before my trip (May). But I know my dates which are set with vacation time form work. Do you guys think I should I book now? Is there any penalty for cancellation?
Barkey, you must be excited about your upcoming trip! I wish you the best of luck and hoep you have a great time. And I hope you will post your experiences.

Posts: 33I'm making my third trip to Medellin in Mid-October. First two, I split between the Mansion and private apartments. This time around, I planned specifically around being able to get into M1, as I found on my last trip that during the day there were some girls hanging around the pool area who attended school at night (and thus you wouldn't see them at the bar in the evening). Staying at M2 would create a major inconvenience as far as I am concerned because I like the spontaneity aspect, plus I like hanging out with the guys.

Posts: 41I think some guys are overthinking it a bit. The reason the Mansion is asking you where you heard about them is because they don't want any clueless non-mongering people to book there and then get freaked out when they see the working girls and cause a scene. They're not looking for some super secret password or something. Just say you heard about them on ISG or another forum. Or maybe you know some guys who have stayed there before.

Perhaps it even helped. Don't know.
I had lots of rookie questions and Alexa and Carlos were very helpful in answering my questions and with the reservation process in general. I was only able to book a room in M-2 when I first made my reservation a couple of months ago. I had read about the nasty walk up the hill and for that reason I would have preferred to be in M-1. A couple of weeks ago thought I would give it a shot and see if there were any cancellations in M-1 for the dates I would be there. To my surprise I was told yes and they had no problem with me making the change.
So far, so good. I will report on my trip soon.

Highly recommend Tinder! Found my best girls through there. I would say about 20% are prepagos. One piece of advice would be to not ask if they are and let them tell you as you can ruin a free hook up like that as I did way too much there. Have fun!

Posts: 23Thanks to everyone for the information. I have been looking to come down to Colombia for quite some time. I cannot wait to jump in the action. I had been reading the past few pages to try acquaint myself to see where to go. I have been trying to meet some contacts ahead of the trip through colombiancupid as I have read on here and trying to see about facebook contacts that some have mentioned.
