I can answer this for you. The average fare from El Centro to Parque Lleras has always been around 10,000 COP unless at rush hour. Hailing cabs not usually a problem except at rush hour. Worst time to travel in a cab is during the morning and afternoon commute into / out of the City, Take the Metro whenever you can, it's cheap at 2,000 COP and much faster than a cab!

Thanks bro. I've aware of the regular taxi's. I was assuming that Uber was set up in Colombia and I wanted to see if what the difference would be compared to the cab. I've traveled in both taxi and metro. Even took a bus from Santa Marta to Barranquilla. LOL. Mass transit was super cheap. I think it was like $12 one way from Santa Marta. LOL.

Had a overnight red eye flight into MIA then onto MDE. Got to the land of paradise around 1 pm. Got settled in El Castillo and headed down to the mansion. There were about 10 girls there. There was this one that was just my type. Huge tits and big butt. We headed back up the hill to my room. Every girl I ask never minds walking. I always offer the taxi option just to be nice. They always insist we walk. Fine with me too. In the room she was very nice. Very GFE we went at it for a while. She said she came very easily so that was nice. It took me close to the hour to finally cum. I assumed we were pretty much done. But then she started warming me up for round 2. What a gal! So we went at it again. Another 45 min or so. I think I know the answer. Based on what more than one taxista told me, some of them do not like working after dark in marginal neighborhoods. I suspect taxis that don't stop are on their way to the safety of their homes. I think there is no problem getting a taxi late at night in Poblado in front of the Hard Rock for example. Taxis carry cash and I think everybody knows there are some characters who hang around Botero Plaza at night you don't necessarily want to be in an enclosed space with.

Like I said, taxis have their place but for me only when Uber is not available. For example, Uber to and from the airport is about the same cost as a taxi.

I stopped dealing with Taxi's and I use Uber now, its actually cheaper too.

They are likely going to a customer that has A) Called and asked for a taxi. B) Used one of the apps such as Tappsi.

I've been here about twenty days now and have probably ridden in taxis at least forty times and have not had any bad experiences. The majority of the drivers have been polite and respectful with no games like I don't have change etc. And have been very helpful. The only strange experience I had was trying to catch a taxi late at night besides Botero Plaza. Sometimes the taxi's would be empty and wouldn't even stop. I don't understand this, perhaps somebody has some insight as to why the taxi's wouldn't stop.
