"Dust" is not a good English translation in this usage. You likely know polvo also has the connotation of "shot" as in a firearm, or in context of an orgasm,"shot" as in "money shot". Another similar meaning of "polvo" is "powder" as in "gunpowder," which also of course related to a firearm.

There is also the word "pelusa" which has the English meaning of "lint," "fluff. ".

The "common dictionary" meaning for polvo is dust or powder. I have many spices (in my spice cabinet in Mexico) that use the term "polvo" to indicate a powdered form of the spice. For example, "canela en polvo" or "ajo en polvo". What those same spices may say in Colombia is anybody's guess.

But, like in every language everywhere in the world, local "slang usage" of a word is often quite different from the dictionary usage. And "Colombian slang" is different from "Peruvian slang" or "Mexican slang" or "Venezuelan slang". Hell, sometimes "slang" is different within the same country. For instance, where I live in Mexico, the term "manita de puerco" means "twist my arm" in English. But when I try to use that term in Mexico City or Guadalajara, I get blank looks.

So much has happened I will do my best to skim the mountaintops. Scarlet, my former Numero Dos is on her way over to my hotel room now to meet my perennial Numero Uno Catgirl, for the first time. Fueled by tussi and an honest desire to finally meet, I don't know what is going to happen next.

I'm new to the city. Wandering around I randomly ended up in a strip club "Barra Ejecutiva". Around 8 or 9 pm on a weekday. Lots of girls (20+) just sitting around and not many guys. The day before yesterday I was in Centro sitting by the Premier Plaza next to a Chica. A Colombian guy came up to the Chica asked a question, was given an answer, and then left. After he left, I asked the Chica what happened, and she said that he wanted to know how much for dos Polvo's and she said she told him 60,000 COP.

She said it was 30,000 for each Polvo, and he thought he was going to get a discount from her but no dice!

It is cheap because it is a one pop short time session. If you want longer time, you likely will have to pay accordingly, plus you and the girl's travel cost and time so I am not sure it is really cheap like you think it is. There are many posts discussing this. Read them to understand more.

That's a weird experience.

I was at Botero and Veracruz 2 weeks ago, and didn't find any good talents. Locals told me that good one moved to Poblado and they don't come back. I saw several unattractive gringos hanging around and talking loud there. I talked to a few of them but some of them were pretty odd.

I will check it out again next month but will focus on casas.
