Well it's not like you're going to see Gringos walking about el Centro like tourists on Bourbon Street, but they are out there, there's a map of el Centro casas for Dios sake hahaha.

Funny thing, a friend dragged me out to New Life the other day, a place I used to love, and including us there were 5 gringos in the sala waiting for the chica presentation.

The chicas presented themselves and they seemed so bored and uninterested it was comical to me.

I can remember when a gringo in the sala was a big deal and the chicas giggled with excitement to maybe get selected, now it's as exciting to them as clipping their toe nails.

I noticed one of the other gringos there, a tall, very skinny guy, he was dressed like Crocodile Dundee.

He selected a chica I knew from the past, they went to the room and he was literally out of there in no more than 5 minutes.

The chica came by afterwards and I told her that she must have the 'magic' to take care of a guy that quickly, she just smiled.

I passed on the chicas, partly because I was waiting for an afternoon visit from una amguita and partly because the chicas looked so uninterested.

I know you can get lucky in the casas and meet a sweetheart, I've done it many times, it's just fewer and farther between now.

I wouldn't go there just for vacation either bro, sorry. But then again I live in an ocean front condo in South Beach.

For me any kind of pristine vacation destination involves ocean in one way or another.

I got ya amigo, and I dig the beach too.

IMO though, South Beach has it's great sights, but it may be one of the most stuck up areas on the planet, I'll take a few hours north where it's more layed back and the Spring Break chicas still hang out, if only to gawk at hahaha.

I live on the beach, grew up on the beach, I don't need a beach on vacation.
Medellin and other like destinations are just fine for me.

Maybe it depends what time you go. Personally, I've bumped into many gringos in Mayorista, casas, stripclubs, and of course Poblado. I wouldn't say it's overrun, but I have bumped into them.

While I would agree that MDE is not the ideal travel destination, a trip there works just fine when it's 10 degrees in Chicago in January. Beautiful weather, beautiful chicas and the opportunitiy to refresh my Espanol.

Every avid traveler should go to Peru at least once to check out Cuzco and M. Picchu. Absolutely one of the top places to visit in all the World. And yes, Lima has fantastic food, culture, and beaches not too far away.

I think badmouthing any one destination is a bit ridiculous because most of these places are worth checking out at least once. Just going to the same place 15 times in a row seems boring to me.

Rio, MDE, Peru, DR, BA, Thailand, et al. If you've got the time and money, you should check out as many as possible. Not sure any is perfect (well Rio used to be!) , but they all have something to offer.

i can think of many other vacation spots i'd rather visit too, however, there's always a beautiful, sexy, loving paisa i happen to meet in medellin and we end up talking and writing, and i just have to go back and see her.

i wouldn't run back for the pfp scene itself, but rather for some beauty that at least i believe, really digs me.

let's face it. you have been coming here for years and have built relationships, know he lay of the land and are in tune with the culture. plus you speak the language and it is easy for you to build realtionships every time down. of course you want to come back on vacation.

i like when you guys come down here and spend money, one way (come down with usd$2, 000 and leave with nothing) from your homeland into the economy here and when it is directly with a ho or even with exito and other huge corporations, you help the economy and help keep a colombian primo employed at exito or help with [CodeWord131] on the ass of a baby with a puta madre, literally.

i will do every thing i can to promote tourism. especially sex tourism. because the poor barrio girls are 90% of the working girls. the money goes into their pockets and not to the botero museum. jejejeje who's kidding who?

I've spent a lot of time in Peru and Lima over the past ten years, and only recently waded more seriously into Colombia and especially Medellin. My comparison and opinion seems close to what others here are reporting:

Medellin: hotter girls with prettier faces and sexier figures, more satisfactory P4P scene, pleasant if rainy climate year round. My four visits to Medellin last year proved to me that if the main goal of a trip is to maximize sexual satisfaction and variety with GFE potential, Medellin has much more to offer than Lima.

Lima: better food and more interesting city. Weather sucks during the winter months June through October. Conquering the non pros there may be easier for those inclined to work that angle, young girls seriously dating men 20 or more years older is culturally accepted and the culture of the city is generally sex positive. My favorite Limena civ, a secretary (secretaries in Lima are easiest to game and bed as they are easily impressed by relatively high status foreigners) while not as hot as some of the best paisas I have done is genuinely attractive and for me a 10 personality as well as 10 in bedroom performance that bumps her up a notch or two from her physical level. In return for the explicitly no-strings relationship I provide for her a modest occasional donation, but 190 soles ($75) is a BIG DEAL for her and she seems to love me in part for my generosity.

So choosing between spending a lot of time with the Lima fav while gaming a few other candidates there when she is not with me, vs the hot lineup of paisa prepagos I could enjoy on my next trip, makes choosing between the two for my next trip difficult.
