Does anyone know if Uber service is still scheduled to end on January 31st. I will be in Laureles for 2 1/2 weeks and always had an Uber driver wait for me at the airport. Thank you.

Taxis, Easy Taxis, Didis, etc work fine. Life is all about change. I myself am changing from staying in Centro to staying in Laureles next week. And I am still deciding whether to take my usual bus to downtown then the train to Laureles, or to just taxi a taxi from the airport directly to Laureles. Old habits die hard.

It's easy on a laptop. Just select what you want to delete and hit either backspace or delete. On a smart phone it's slightly more difficult. You can backspace through everything you want to delete, but that can take some time. Or, you can press on a word in the section you want to delete. The word will be highlighted with a circle at each end. Use a finger to drag the circles to highlight the whole section you want to delete, then click on "cut. ".

If you want to cut almost the entire quote, click on a word near the beginning. Click "select all. " Then use your finger on the blue circle at the beginning and end, to unhighlight the parts you want to keep.

I also just read your reply to the original post where I ended up asking how to delete. I re-read that post and your reply. I have to admit that I missed out how offensive it may seem to black guys. I didn't see the offense since I'm not black but can understand. I just saw it as his point of view description. Maybe I should be more sensitive but if we don't let these things bother us we are the stronger better person but I do see your point. I guess I found his description more funny and somewhat true but not in an offensive way. One thing for sure, most of the blacks I've seen are happy and having a good time. It's true that people can get by without speaking the language. They can have the best time they could imagine without learning any Spanish.

Learning any of the language opens up new experiences. The more you learn, the better. Doesn't mean it's necessary, just beneficial.

In a few years we'll have seamless, instantaneous translation. Then the "I don't need to know the language" guys will discover what they've been missing.

It's very unlikely that machine translation will get there anytime soon, trust me, I know (it's my field). What exactly did I miss without the knowing language? I know that I overpaid a bit, but besides that, what else? It's not like I'm dating the girl, I'm not going to discuss world politics, Beethoven's symphony, the best novel I've ever read or my interpretation of the origin of the universe with her. Google translate is enough to order food for her, ask her to dance, and making small jokes to make her laugh.
