Well I've begun my homework on Facebook girls. I've read this section on Medellin going back a year, and have an excellent idea of prices vs. Time, quality, & quantity. I've actually built a small list of girls ready to come over to my place. I plan to stay at an Airbnb the entire trip. I have also contacted all Airbnb hosts to make sure it's ok to have overnight guests. As I prepare to book my Airbnb's, I'm concerned that some may be located where Facebook girls won't go?

A few of the Airbnb's are only about 1 km from Bar Maracaibo on Calle 53. Will I encounter a large section of Facebook girls who will say, "Sorry, I don't go there."

These particular Airbnb's are pretty nice. So I'll be able to forward the girl photos to help assuage any fears. I'm just worried the girls in Medellin will see this area like the girls in Bogota see the Santa Fe district.

I hope I'm just overthinking this, but I'the hate to book in this area, and then have to go rent a love motel somewhere because a good chunk of FB girls won't go there.

The apartments are managed by a management company. Except for my apartment which was owned by the super host. It got confusing because the host used some of the services of the management company. I never saw him and I don't think he was even in the area. I'm only mentioning this because the management company was great and the experience would have been a disaster without them. Problems with Internet, cable TV and lots of things missing like towels. I'm fairly certain these problems were specific to my host and apartment. If you're going to stay there, go through the management company.

I can only tell you about my apartment since I did not see the other apartments. I was told by management that it was one of the best apartments. I found the furnishings to be passable but on the cheap side. It's a decent place though. However, the location is out of the way and not close to much of anything. Taxi drivers (including Uber) had trouble finding it since it is relatively new. On the plus side, it is only about 1 km to Provenza, a semi-touristy area but nice. I went for my morning run there and back.

There was absolutely no problem with having chicas over. The front desk was 24/7 and all spoke English. Most of the time, no ID was even asked for. Personally, the area is not for me, but I wouldn't let my experience dissuade you. The problems were seemingly specific to the host.

...Taxis are dirt cheap. And Uber is half the price of a taxi. I tried to take Uber whenever I could not only to save money, but the yellow taxis got lost too often. The address system in Medellin is confusing, to say the least. At least Uber drivers have navigators. Still, I had a ridiculous amount of Uber no-shows that I had to cancel and incurred a cancellation fee. I added up my cancellation fees and at about 90 cents, the total was about $20. Although you can theoretically get your money back through the app, it never worked, and I wrote to Uber for a refund. Also, Uber is very illegal in Colombia. Many drivers ask you to sit up front, so it appears they're not a taxi service. ...

I used to have the same problem with Uber in Poblado, not arriving. I realized they would stop a half block away from where I requested. Now, after they confirm a driver, I send them a message with the name of the establishment where I am waiting. That works well for me. When I am in Laureles, they always come to the address I request. I suppose they are not watched as closely in Laureles. During my last trip, I had 100% success rate. One guy couldn't find Hooters, but I found him when he got near. I saw on GPS tracking that he was making many wrong turns.

I appreciate your sense of what makes you happy. I am four years older than you, and sometimes I just want to meet a lady to have someone to be with, with sex as an option. I have a few long-time lady friends who fit that bill. Many of the ladies in Medellin are so nice. I think they are surprised when someone shows an interest in them as a person, and not as a sex object.

For those interested in this type of relationship, I suggest you start getting accustomed to SA in Colombia before you get there. Granted, a monthly membership is nearly $90, but that probably helps keep the riff raff away and is worth the experience. It doesn't make sense to try to meet women online before you get there though.

Great report Jooks. I must be the riff raff that SA is trying to keep out. Someone wrote a big report on it a few months ago in the Philippines thread so I decided to make a profile so I could see the difference between those women and women from other sites. I don't know if I ever completed the profile, but I definitely never paid the $90, so I think they sent me an email saying they were kicking me off. I get 3 months on Cupid for $49 or $59 and there are so many other sites that are free, so I am pretty timid about $90 for 1 month.

But my mongering experience is pretty limited in Colombia because it is so easy to get normal chicks that you don't have to pay. Like you, I usually pick a spot for vacation (mostly a place for scuba diving) then look on ISG to see what the mongering options are should the need arise.

You are also right about contacting chicks too early. With so many guys hitting the chicks up (most who probably have no plans to even come) the memory and attention span is very short. Works better when you can say to a chick that you are in town and when can she meet up.

To sort of continue with Part 1.

I spent nearly 3 weeks in Medellin. One of the reasons for my trip was to investigate retirement along with a much-needed vacation. Retirement seems so do-able. Medellin is precisely the place I am looking for to spend my, uh, best years. It's got most everything I look for. FYI, I'm 66, in good health and good physical condition.

To reiterate what I said in my first report, I do not vacation to monger, or at least that's not the major priority. No judgment of anyone else, to each his own. Those interested primarily in casas and such probably won't relate much to this writing. I am not the type that wants or needs a different woman every day or multiple times a day. I prefer to find one or two or so women to spend time with and develop some sort of connection. I used Seeking Arrangements almost exclusively to find the women I was looking for. It turned out to be a good strategy for me.

Since my experience was only with SA with one exception, that is only what I will discuss. The majority of women on SA are seeking more than money and, in many circumstances, just travel or want an emotional connection. For the most part, they were young and gorgeous. They did not want to be treated like a sex object. Treating everyone with respect went a long way, something true in life in general.

I ended up meeting with about 8 women. The relations were not always sexual, and that was fine. There are many women that only look for platonic or use it like match.com. The non-sexual meets and several of the sexual ones cost nothing but coffee or whatever plus a taxi. One of my favorite finds was meeting up with a bright 18-year old college student and discussing life, politics, etc. Over a 3-hour lunch. I like to immerse myself in the culture when I travel. Traveling alone forces me to do just that because I have no one to talk to except the locals, or paisas in this case. I also got to practice my basic Spanish, and, in the end, I was a lot more comfortable speaking the language.

But this board is about sex and that's the dirt most of you want. SA women may be expensive or more expensive, but for me, it's worth the cost. You get amateurs that are only doing what they need to do to pay their tuition, rent or simply survive. And they are happy to do so if treated well. Many look for a connection and would never consider themselves prostitutes. And they're not, depending on your definition.

It got to a point where I got enough practice and intuition under my belt and, coupled with a little game, I was turning away women towards the end of my trip. That was tough! In the beginning of my stay, I set up multiple meets at the same time knowing that many would cancel. Sometimes they all cancelled. That is typical SA. But in the end, my odds improved greatly.

I stayed with several women for multiple hours and some for multiple days. They were mostly students and hotter than I could ever expect to be with in the US, especially for such a ridiculously low price. Yes, I know price is comparable and my comparison was to US prices.

For those interested in this type of relationship, I suggest you start getting accustomed to SA in Colombia before you get there. Even though she paid her own way to Medellin and didn't cost me much, it didn't turn out well. I suggest sticking to Medellin and don't be tempted to pay for a woman from Cali or wherever to visit based on chats and photos. There're enough choices to last a lifetime in Medellin.

As for photos, follow the golden rule. The worst looking photo online is probably representative. And try to get her to take a selfie so you have a better chance of seeing what she looks like currently.

Parque Lleras at night completely grossed me out. It's full of drunken Americans, ear-deafening reggaetóand and hamburger and pizza places. And what appeared to be overpriced prostitutes. I couldn't escape fast enough.

The balance of my stay was spent in Laureles in Inntu Hotel, a super nice, what I would term a 4-star hotel for Colombia. The drawback was that bringing a guest was not cheap and frowned on. I didn't know that at first. Actually, I was banned from having guests in the end, haha.

As a result, on my last day I decided to step out of character and check out the scene that is most talked about here. However, it was a Sunday and I didn't realize many places were closed. I went to El Centro to see the street scene. I was grossed out by lack of talent. Nothing better than a 5. Loutron and Fase II were closed, 2 spots I would have loved to try. I ended up at Jade by Parque Lleras. It didn't seem to get good reviews here and it wasn't high on my list of places to try. But I was running out of time.

It is a ***** to find. It's kind of hidden away on a side street by the park and there are no signs at all, including on the buzzers. Suffice to say, with much determination, I found it. What a find! I entered to find 2 seemingly bored guys watching TV. They barely acknowledged me. Then mamasan came out and introduced me to the 2 girls working. One was an 8+, a 19-year old petite girl with typical Colombiana drop-dead gorgeous looks. The other wasn't as nice but not bad. I took the 19-year old for an hour. The cost was ridiculously cheap, 150 k for everything for an hour. I actually got a nice massage and Samantha was quite pleasant. I wish I found her sooner so I could convince her to spend time with me. It was a great way to spend my last day there.

It was an active vacation and I did lots of things in and outside Medellin, sometimes by myself, other times accompanied by a SA woman. You all probably know the touristy things to do or can easily go to TripAdvisor to find them. So, I won't bother to mention them. However, the highlight of the trip was a full day mountain bicycle tour going down the Andes starting at about 7000 or so feet. It was a 6000-foot descent. It may sound easy since 90% was downhill, but not quite. I'm still sore from the bumpy roads. Still, if you can ride a bike without fear, you can do the tour. I also had the best lunch in Colombia on the tour. The lunch was served at a private home and was the best meal I had in Medellin. The coffee was also the best. It is grown in the region we were cycling as well as roasted locally. I ended up finding a store in Provenza that sold the coffee and brought some to take home.

Speaking of food, I was extremely disappointed. Perhaps it was because I didn't know any better. All I found was mostly touristy food or street carts and small restaurants that served fried stuff, I. E. , empanadas. I had more typical Colombian food when traveling outside Medellin. In Medellin, I stuck mostly to the street carts or tiny restaurants in the less touristy areas that cost the equivalent of $2 or $3 for lunch. I found this far better than the alternatives, not to mention a lot cheaper.

I heard more than one story of Uber getting pulled over on the way to the airport and the passengers had to disembark and wait for a white taxi. Uber is the same price as a regular taxi anyway to the airport.

I will return soon. And seriously consider retiring there.

Go upstairs after you get out of screening & before you exit. There is a little tienda / kiosk / store you can get a SIM card & data from. It is across from the 3 ATMs. They will install & test the number for you. Very cheap but your phone must be unlocked.

He says in the vid that he will rent rooms if the place isn't rented out, he says rates "vary" on time of year and length of stay.

Certainly Centrally located, that's right next to Parque Bolivar and the big brick church, the Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de Medellíand.

The 16th floor of Edifico Apabi at Calle 56 #47-14 it looks to be.
