It's not that he lent me an umbrella, it's that I'm going to see a lot of security guards whenever I bring a girl.

How much should I tip security guards? What's a reasonable Colombian peso tip, not too much, not too little?

And is Colombia a tipping culture? The waiter asked me for a tip when I was taking the food away. Is this a country where you have to tip?

And should I leave a tip on the bed for the lady who cleans the place, like in Thailand?

And don't they have convenience stores in Colombia? I don't think I've seen one while ubering around the city. Where do you buy condoms?

And where else do you pick up except el centro, lleras park, escort service, strip club? Are the street hookers only in el centro?

Lastly, is it not possible to attach a photo unless I pay $25 and subscribe, because it seems like if I do, the post doesn't post.
The security guard just let you walk away with an umbrella? When you returned it, I suppose as you were leaving the barricaded area, you should probably give him 4 or 5 mil for being a nice guy. Otherwise, security guards in the park get no tips unless they do something for you.

Colombia doesn't have a tipping culture. Many of the places in Poblado will add a service charge (tip) to your bill. I would have ignored the guy who asked for a tip.

I think it's a good gesture to leave a tip for the hotel maid. 4 mil a day should be sufficient, unless you asked for special service, like more towels.

There are plenty of convenience stores. There's one just outside the park on Calle 10. They won't be 7/11's, rather they'll mostly be mom and pop stores. The best place to buy condoms is at a pharmacy.

Would love to see some stats, or should I say some honest stats. Am not sure they could even pin real charges on many, and what category would the criminals fall in to? USA is the only country I know of where their law from home haunts them wherever they go (along with the IRS). Everyone else obeys the law of the land in which they currently are. Maybe there are some other countries. BUt I am not aware of them. So a USAn could be guilty of an act that is not illegal in Colombia for Colombians nor other foreigners. It seems farsical.

You can always get a good price 24/7 from the boys and girls on Cra 50, a few blocks before the street splits in to Palace and Junin and enters Centro proper.

Yeah this is mostly so they can point and say "Look at the sign we've put up! We're on with the bad gringo program too!

It's all for show IMO, I have never even seen any foreigner step foot back there anyway, so initially I thought the message might be personally for me or smth LOL. Besides, it's like couple rooms only and it closes early.

There aren't that many underage centro WGs during the daytime in my experience. But yes, there are other hotels known for not checking cedulas and I do occasionally run into some 17 yo or of age Vennie without papers and then later do see them using hotels. One 17 yo recently was trying to convince me to still go with her to the room, showing me whatsapp photos of many gringos that she went with without issues trying to assure me it's all safe etc. (no I didn't).

Apparently most underage work centro late night, from what two WGs told me while we were watching the police action the other day, but I wouldn't expect any foreigners at 2 am in there, I assume it's mostly locals, so I don't expect the police to loose any sleep over that.

Also, if they have caught any gringo during last week action it would be all announced as a great success on the news so I assume they didn't.

I do not know if it is a huge problem, but what I do know is that minors are there regardless of the foreigners being there or not. The foreigners are not going there and bringing the minors themselves. What I also know from reading this board is many foreigners have no ability to discern. Many can not tell a man dressed as a woman from an actual woman or an under 18 year old from a 20 year old.

Unfortunately it is probably the guys always saying they like them 18 that will go younger if presented the opportunity. And downtown is a place where opportunity presents itself.

I reported years ago walking by a bar where I saw obvious underage girls. I stopped to ask how old one of them were and she said 15. Yeah the Minnie Mouse clothing and the yarn bracelets kind of give it away. I was taunted by an older women if I was scared and I said damn right and walked away. It is fucking funny how the news and politicians are playing "the foreigner made them do it" card when the people that frequent the place know the youngsters are already there waiting for whoever will pay them.

Predictably, the government maintains crime statistics and Colombians in the majority in this and every other category. It's no different in any other country; locals predominate unless the violations are immigration related. Local conservative media and politicians have been working overtime the past couple of months to position foreigners as the the heart of the abuse of minors problem. Rupert Murdoch publications in the UK, Australia, and the US have been similarly positioning immigrants and foreigners in those countries. It's cynical and dishonest politics. If you compare the way cases involving foreigners are covered to the way cases involving Colombians (again, they make up the vast majority) it' very striking. Colombian suspects are not identified, sometimes not even after a conviction. The faces of Colombian suspects are obscured. Foreigners are doxxed from day 1. The Livingston guy's passport photo page with none of the details obscured is still making the rounds in local media. The guy who had the drugs, guns, and chica party in Guatape had his face plastered all over the media in photos with every other person's face obscured. The cases with foreigners always appear on front pages of newspapers and as the lead story of news broadcasts. To be fair, the Colombian cases don't generate as much attention precisely because they are so frequent that they are mundane. I am in no way defending these guys. I'm only pointing out the unequal media treatment. Foreigners are a convenient scapegoat in Colombia. The age of consent is 14 here. So when you do see cases involving Colombians the victims are really very young. The guy who got caught with two street urchins in a motel in La Estrella highlighted a common scenario in which the young girls work the late night streets and are taken to motels on the outskirts of the city. He got caught because he got into a loud argument with the girls. That case disappeared from the media.

Thank you everyone!!I'm in Medellin, Colombia

Thanks to those who have helped me along the way! I'm in Medellin and it's 7:23 am local time!

I arrived at my hotel yesterday at 3 pm and fell asleep right away because it was a 30 hour flight including airport layovers!(I've never been so suicidal in my life during a flight! The Panda Express at LAX is so fucking tasteless!

When I woke up, it was 2 am and I got ready and headed to Lleras Park.

I think we got there around 2:45 and it was raining in Colombia.

Yes. There was some kind of barricade at the entrance (but you could get in) and there were a lot of Medellíand police inside. It seemed like they were forcibly removing people.

There weren't many women, and they were all standing in front of the shops, sheltering from the rain.

After a while, people started to disappear like the tide, and a group of people started to see the.

In a weird bus (it's a convertible bus) with club music playing in the background.

I felt like I came too late, but I was still heartbroken to see the mayor's suppression of prostitution in effect.

There weren't many tall, voluptuous women I liked. They were all with men.

And it was kind of annoying that women were staring at me so much. I felt like a monkey in a zoo.

It wasn't long before there were very few people, both men and women.

I was newbie, so I didn't take the initiative, and I didn't have a girl in mind.

    AM 3:40?

I talked to the girl with the biggest ass out of the few girls left (there's no one "in the park" and all the shops are closed, this is calle 10, outside the park). Short time was 500 mil for one time and long time was 1 million Cop for staying together until morning. I don't know Spanish and spoke with Google Translate.

She had a big ass but she was also older and it was by the face. I said no, packed up my food and went back to my quarters. Yes. The first day of my glorious South America trip. I didn't pick up anyone. LOL.

I'm going back to sleep now.

I think 3 am is too late, but I was looking forward to it anyway meow.

I'm so sleepy. Stay tuned for 'tomorrow' (actually today.) I'm going to go early.

I will definitely pick up the girl with the best ass and come back with a review Thank you.

I'd like to ask you a few more questions before I go to bed.

Comments about airport taxi, money and guest policy

    3. Depends on the hotel. Many will only allow a guest if that guest is registered at check-in. Others charge a fee for each guest. Check with your hotel for the guest policy.
I think the white taxis are fine and the fee is posted on a big sign on the wall so you will pay the same as everyone else. I think it was 120 mil to Poblado.

I always use the ATMs and it has been working fine. If you want to exchange money for the taxi, I would just change $30 or so.

Hotel reserved for two people does not mean you and a different girl every day. It does mean you can register one girl as the second person and she can come and go. That works if you have a girlfriend situation. Otherwise, as guys have said, the guest policy varies among the hotels. Hotels are upfront about their policy so you just need to contact the hotel and ask about their guests policy and they will tell you. Some hotel will say no guests, some will say guests for an extra fee, and some will say one guest per day until a certain time and then no guests. If you go through the thread, there are a few posts about hotels that are guest friendly like the Dix and the Haven.

    2. Will the currency exchange and SIM card vendors at the airport be open at that hour?

    2. As long as I make a booking for two at hotels, will it be ok to bring a guest?

    J.
First of all, the only reason to use currency exchange is if you're trying to hide the transaction from somebody back home. Or in the unlikely possibility that one does not have an ATM card. Short of that, it is silly to do currency exchange. ATM always gives you the best rates. But, If you have to, do it in the city and not at the airport. currency exchange rate at the airport is terrible. If you need money for the taxi, BanColombia has ATM machines right at the airport and they're safe to use. Alternatively, just pay the taxi with dollars. Just pay the taxi $30. Consider it few bucks tip to the hard-working man who's driving you at midnight.

I believe with universal beauty it is common that the quality of the service is generally inversely proportional to the universal beauty of the prostitute (and yes fat ugly manly ones can give bad service also but that is a different topic).

There are outliers but unfortunately the mean is the mean.

Very low BMI small breasts, no tattoos, no implants or injections, no children.

Small narrow pretty face, a small nose with small nostrils.

Smooth skin with zero make up or visible pores.

And no gym rats that can pass for men.

In summation, very petite, very pretty 18-20 years old small breasts, no children, no ink, no surgeries, no excess fat, no excess muscle, no make up.

And if she is a mute that is a cherry on top.
Thank you for the link and summary. Very interesting. No wonder men go nuts over the girls in medellin. Their malls, their streets and neighborhoods are full of girls that meet these criteria. I am sure that the regulars on this forum have been with many that fit this description. It is a beautiful world.

Well, the mean is the mean, and with the 10 types, sexual performance was extreme as well, usually outstanding or horrible, so I would not be opposed to saying the mean was average.

What I can say in defense of the 10 seekers is they are looking for the 10's who are somewhat humble, personable, have sound character, and perform as well as their looks. Yes, that means the journey will be harder, and I certainly cannot blame others for saying it is not worth it. It is the beauty is subjective part that is nauseating.

Sorry for the late reply, got crazy at work. Thanks for responding; funny enough, I will be there from May 7 to 17. I would appreciate any kind of company / help / guidance. Based on your trip dates, I have a sneaky suspicion we might be flying in from the same area. I'm still waiting for my crypto to clear to activate my membership, so I could not message you directly.

Very excited for MDE, hoping this first trip does not turn into shit. Booked Airbnb In Laureles to sleep / work / day visitors and "friendly" Hotels for fun on weekends.

I plan on hitting every casa and even Centro clubs / rats lmfao. Hopefully, they won't need to airlift me out of there, and I will try to pace myself.

If anybody else is going to be there around these dates and wants to hunt / hang out, do reach out.

I will update the forum with how this goes and what I find. Hopefully, guys coming after me will get some value out of whatever comes from those reports.
