    Discounted rates online.

I have a trip coming up next week and I'm looking through ads on Photoprepagos and Mileroticos and I'm seeing plenty of chicas under 150 k, even as low as 70 k per hour. No need to deal with the BS drama of FB / Mansion princesses and their 150 k or 200 k PLUS taxi prices.

Obviously, it's not for everybody. The ability to hold a basic conversation in Spanish is necessary. Also for a newbie, I wouldn't recommend it.

    Airbnb has a map search

You can do a search on Airbnb with the map and it will show you the metro stations. I ONLY stay in the area near the stadium estadio and floresta stations. It is walking distance to Energy and Tantra massage places and there are quite a few Mileroticos chicas that have places near La 70 or in Laurles area. Try pulling up google maps side by side with the Airbnb maps then get your self familar with the major streets and locate the metro stops. I love taking the metro around SO cheap 75 cents if you get the civica green card, just have to show your passport. I use the metro to go to Poblado and walk up the hill, good exercise.

Any advice on how best to look for either an apartment or hotel in the area? My concern is that I won't be able to tell from the address where the apartment or hotel is located.

    Thanks Guys

I appreciate the responses from those of you who responded with opinions on this. I may try it out

@ Mr En - No worries man, you just seemed annoyed. You just didn't understand what I was asking, it's cool. Thanks for your response.

My question wasn't so much about the quality of the girls at La Cueva, but rather about the value (as a newbie) of access to a location where there are like-minded people. Specifically, I was hoping to get a response for someone who has done the same thing as I contemplate doing: getting a very low-cost room just to hang out there.

But I thank you for your top-notch, snarky feedback.
Actually I think the value of the Mansion (and el Castillo up the hill) goes beyond the girls that may or may not be hanging around the place. The girls on-premise can be really good or really weak with no rhyme or reason. However I like that there is typically a camaraderie among the guests. To me this has value if you are visiting Medellin by yourself. It's nice to have like-minded people around. If the girls on site isn't happening, you have fellow guests to go out to Strip bars with or to hit the casas. Or just to going out to lunch or dinner with. It's generally a pretty sociable place, sort of a relaxed frat house atmosphere.

Of course, some guys don't give a crap about this and those guys are better off just getting an apartment (you'll get a nicer place for less money). There's certainly nothing magical about the girls that come to the Mansion. Most are the same old faces that have been coming for years - generally not the creme de la creme of Medellin.

Although I have never stayed at the mansion myself, I have had one very experienced monger tell me that the best way to approach Medellin is to go to the Mansion the first couple on days and connect with all the chicas there on Facebook and then you are set for the rest of your time. Otherwise you will have to rely on establishments and their madams, taxi drivers and the prepago sites. If you are not a fan of the central casas and strip clubs then you will end up paying more than having an extensive Facebook list. The taxi drivers and madams need their cut. Plus the Facebook chicas based on reporting tend to hang around longer at your apartment. My experienced friend pays between 150-200 k for home delivery. I pay between $200 k and 300 K for home delivery not having a Facebook list. Here is a conversation I had with a prepago from the websites on Whatsapp.

    Me: No oral natural?

[+57 321 4469718: Amor el oral sería natural 30 adicional why mi valor es ese no otro.

I declined this one. So getting a Facebook list has value.

When I stayed at the Castillo in the past, 210 was actually my room of choice because is was on the lower level next to the pool. It was private. Unfortunate, things changed a little bit when Robert put the taco kitchen in the room next door. And when the pool and backyard was being renovated. The kitchen is still there, but I would hope the renovations are finally done. All of that said, you do have peace and privacy at night.

I have done what you are suggesting. Have a room at Castillo and then my own apartment. And then I make a decision about where I will primarily stay. I usually didn't do it for the entire trip, but for a few days to get the numbers for new talent. If you are going to stay in the Castillo with plans to go to La Cueva, I recommend Thursday and Friday night. Any other day is a crap shoot. Thursdays and Fridays are usually pretty steady.

Well if you just happen to go when there are 5 guys and 2 girls, I would say there would not be much value in that. Or if you spend $70 for a room plus another $70 for a chick then I would say there is definitely no value in that; not when you consider Medellin is crawling with way cheaper chicks and way cheaper places to stay. There are like-minded people at every hooker joint in Medellin. Don't know many mongers that are going to Medellin for the guys though.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. It is just that 2 people in the last couple of weeks posted that there was nothing special about the place. Didn't know if you had seen the reports or not, so I called myself being nice enough to waste my time putting their statements into a neat package for you. But I see that went over like a pregnant pole vaulter.

    P. S. If you had really read it then you would have known that IslandMonger said he was diappointed with the QUANTITY of girls and not the quality as you have mistakenly referred to being the gist of the cutouts. There was not one thing said about quality.

It's not a place like Del Rey in Costa Rica that you can grab a girl for a quickie whenever you want, its more GFE and most of the guys we met there were single and networking most of their chicas on FB.

Night after that, 8 guys and 7 girls.

Next night again, 2 guys and 18 girls.

That is just how it goes there. Luck of the Draw!

I like El Peñon and San Antonio or even a bit farther South near Parque de Perro. I don't particularly like la Sexta. There is night life around there, I just don't like the vibe. Some guys like to be farther North near Chipichapi shopping center. I don't like being there as you are sort of far away from stuff. I like to be able to walk out of my apartment and have cafes, bars, parks nearby.

For your guide, the "nice" areas in Cali aren't as expansive as those in Medellin (Poblado, Belen, Laureles, Envigado). It's probably a more dangerous city vs Medellin (though Medellin has plenty of no-go zones).

You are correct, Bancolombia now charges a fee. I have never been able to withdraw more than 300 k per transaction. When I did two transactions back-to-back to get 600 k, they charged 12 k for each.

I don't know the amount of fee the others charge, but earlier this year I verified that they do charge a fee. I also checked some other banks which I don't remember the names, but they all charged a fee, except BBVA and Davienda.
At one time I was able to get up to 2 million out from Davivienda at Santa Fe mall, with no fee. A friend just tried a few weeks ago and the limit was 400 k with a 15 k fee.

This info is 6 months old. If you are in the area and your card works in their ATM, Banco Pichincha had no fee and allowed 1 million per withdrawal, with multiple withdrawals on the same transaction. Watched my roommate pull out 6 million back in December. They only have a couple of branches. The only one I've been to is south of Santa Fe mall, across from the DHL building.

Thanks for confirming Bancolombia now charges a fee. Also, I do cash-advance withdrawals using a credit card. So the low limits at BBVA & Davivienda are no good for me.

I belive the fee is 12 k at Servibanca. Can anyone confirm that?

    Bancolombia 600 k max, 12 k fee per withdrawal.

Banco de Bogota 600 k max, 10.5 k fee per withdrawal.

This was the result of my research a year ago for my trip to Bogota. I assume the fees are the same in Medellin?

I believe Bancolombia recently instilled this fee. It was free in 2017 for me, but not in Mar-18.

I have only withdrawn from Bancolombia and Servibanca.

I think you probably went to the Suramericana station. Going from your hotel, you would turn left at the Estadio station to go to Floresta.
You want the orange line, towards La Aurora.
