I hate to generalize, but I will. These princesses are more spoiled than the gringa, having had servants their entire lives and given everything they desire their entire lives.

I couldn't agree more, Tha south of Medellin is B. S. And like the top 1% of Medellin, You want to see the real Paisas go to el Centro and to the North, Bello, Copacabana, Castilla. That is the real Medellin, I remember going to Parque Lleras and Mall Oviedo and Tesoro and being so disappointed because it was just like being in South Beach all over again, like I never even left home, right up to the little princesses, Eurotrash Lounge music and wanna be's and posers. I got out of there fast and went to a local spot! LOL

I have heard the opposite from hundreds of guests. They hate the attitudes of Colobianas say is CR. The girls in MDE are sweeter and more friendly. Traveling ruins most of the girls. Now they know how much they can get away with with Americans. They still want that money when they return to MDE. I live here and gladly will take the sub standard girls here any day.

Good thing I am not picky because I don't have the money to compete with the rich guys.

See the link below. This article in Spanish discusses the increasing number of families who offer the virginity of their adolescent girls to strangers, though at a substantial price.

The article also mentions that plenty of chicas are "working" on the 4th floor of the Terminal del Norte. I'd never noticed them, but I guess it goes to show that there are "working" chicas everywhere in the valley. I'll never forget going to a livestock auction last year and seeing working girls.

Not saying that you won't find a few 8's or 9's at the casa and strip clubs in el Centro, but they are FAR and FEW in between.

El Castillo and la Piscina in Bogota (Santa Fe) both are heads and shoulders above any spot in MDE. All I am saying is that quality-wise, there is absolutely no question that Medellin offers sub-par p4p talent compared to other destinations. I actually met a Golden Time girl on her off day at Mystic (a disco in PTY), had no clue she was a GT girl (but I wasn't blind to the fact that she was in PTY for work). She turned out to be awesome, sweet, friendly, etc. plus a solid 9.5 to boot. We ended up spending my last three days in PTY together with no expectation of her getting paid.

I honestly don't think that your chances of meeting a sweet heart at the casas/strip clubs in el Centro are THAT much higher (maybe 20%?) than BOG or PTY. I still find I have to visit 7-10 places in el Centro before I meet a 8+ with a good personality.

Bottom line here is, your perception of quality is not the same as mine or of everyone else for that matter.

I'm glad you met a sweet Golden Time chica on her time off and you guys hit it off. You know as well as I do though, that's a rare hit for those chicas.

I've traveled many times to Panama, CR, BA, etc and have seen, and have had the Colombianas there.

I would choose Medellin and it's talent hands down over any of those other destinations.

As a matter of fact, I cringe to the thought of those, mostly, ultra-professional Colombianas working in CR or Panama.

That's what makes this mongering great. Everyone has their own perception of a 7, an 8 or a 9-10 level chica.

Just because you are gringo does not mean you can bag every single hot chick in Medellin. The higher you go up the estrato social ladder, the more discerning the women become. Medellin is the type of place where a red-neck, overweight gringo working at Walmart in Montana can come down and meet and actually 'date' a pretty good looking estrato 1-2 girl. The girls are more friendlier because they perceive the gringo will be nicer than the guys around their way, and they also feel that from an economic perspective, their situation might have a chance of being improved if they can land a gringo.

The princesses of el Poblado obviously don't have to worry about this. A lot of girl 'friends' in Medellin are actually live in el Poblado, Las Palmas, Envigado, etc. I relate to them more. They have traveled, are a more cultured, highly educated, career oriented, etc. AND, important to me, when deciding when to eventually end up in a relationship with a girl, I know that they aren't there for their own economic benefit.

This report is true. But right now with the blow dealt to the FARC, I'd say keep you guard up b/c they will most likely retaliate by increasing their number of kidnappings, bombings (a major plot was just foiled in BOG), and any other means of attracting attention to their cause.

It depends what you are comparing it too. I'd say it's way better than ecuador and as convenient as buenos aires. Once you find your niche you can get decent sessions for cheap($30 Tops) in medellin. It takes a little effort thats all.
Medellin is a cross between quito and buenos aires with a rougher edge and less developed.

Go to medellin and experience it for yourself. It's worth it for a few days. Do not let people discourage you from going.

I've made a few posts in quick succession so you might have lost my train of thought between them. When I say that medellín is sub-par, I am comparing it only to other destinations where Colombianas ply their trade in major number(ie PTY, San Jose, CR, CTG, BOG, Buenos Aires, etc.).

And my point in making that comparison was to point out that p4p quality of the Colombianas is like a strong export product of a small country in that most of the best stuff can be found outside of the source.

And not sure where you surmised I have not been to medellín, but I have been there plenty of times. So why do I write all this if I think p4p is better elsewhere? I actually like the city very much, spend lots of time there and as such since I know the place, I feel compelled to share my experiences.

Right now for someone from the States looking for a high quality monger getaway, if you can bear the flight, Buenos Aires probably is the best value without having to sacrifice on quality.

Also you will find yourself going back to the same few places where you did get good service. After awhile that will get played out and you will need to find new hang outs.

There are two different xray and metal detectors because one is manned by the military and the other by Avianca. Avianca doesnt trust the security of the military check and the military doesn't trust the security of the Avianca check...because of previous bombings. Atleast this is my educated guess as to why there are two seperate, identical checks.

I was flying AA this time. However, I have flown Avianca in the past and it was not a problem then. Shit changes. And Avianca is now my carrier of last choice. Hopefully I will never have to find out.

Why things would be different for different airlines is beyond me. All international departures go through the same gate. Of course why you need to run your carry-ons through two different x-ray machines is beyond me as well.

The gates are situated in different areas corresponding to the airline you are flying. It just so happens avianca has their gate past the bathrooms and past the second metal detector. I think AA was right after the first metal detector and had access to the bathroom.

Avianca wasn't anything special but they offer non stops from NYC- Medellin. I now fly non stop wherever I go. I will not deal with the mess of changing planes. Whoever offers it gets my business.

Yes you do. I just went through it last night. I was flying on avianca airlines which had their gate * after the bathrooms and after the second xray machine.

To use a bathroom I had to leave the secure area and return to the gate after going through the 2nd xray(not the 1st) machine all over again. There was no other way of doing it. Other people were pissed off too.
