I just completed a recent, short, trip to Medellin and thought I would post a few items of note. Unlike my last trip where my facebook results were less than stellar, the 2 best sessions I've ever had in my mongering career came from girls I met online. Explore a little beyond the girl that has 20 mongers saying "UFFFFFF Q SEXXII" on every picture and find some less used talent, then please share the hotties with me.

Here are some basic tips for having a good time with your girl in Medellin that may be of use for the beginner monger, or those new to Medellin in particular. They are focused on making the girl more comfortable with you, as that is what will lead you to getting the most out of your session with the girls:

+ Spanish: Basic conversation skills go a very very far way in terms of connecting with your girl and building some chemistry that leads to a more emotionally invested session. My Spanish skills are barely good enough for a basic conversation, yet it got me much better service than my friends that only say a few words (and BTW my friends are in much better physical shape than me)

+ Music: Do yourself a favor and make some playlists that 18 – 25 year old girls would be into, safe choices are EDM and ragaetton. It is very easy to download live sets or radio broadcasts / podcasts by the most popular DJ's, so do some google'ing for yourself and put them on the playlist. Good music gets the girls loosened up and in a dancing mood, creates good conversation, and makes an awesome leeway into doing the dirrty. Again, making them more comfortable leads to you having a much better time. I imagine ragaetton has a similar effect, but I know nothing about it.

+ Party supplies: They are everywhere in Colombia, and most girls are quite a fan of a wide variety. Not saying that you need to partake in the 'partying' but don't be a prude and let the girl get comfortable. As with everything, experiment responsibly and don't jump into the deep end your first time.

+ Shave, and I am not talking about your face. You expect girls to be well groomed, PLEASE repay them the favor and shave the pubic region.

I am not going to provide blow by blow overview of my trip, but will provide some feedback on a few girls.

Mia from La Isla: I arranged for an after-hours session with Mia back at my apartment, and she ended up being one of the rawest most aggressive sport f*cking sessions I've ever had. I would keep her all to myself, but I was flying so high on cloud 9 after our sessions that I forgot to get her number. After we finished up in the apartment around 5:30 or 6AM she wanted to take me out to some all night parties and then come back to the apartment for some more rounds. I was too wiped out to partake, but that is an example of the type of girl she is. The picture attached is post- partying and lots of sex, so she is quite the mess but is really good looking. I thought she would be all looks and no performance when we first started at the apartment, and she quickly proved me wrong, absolute all-star. If any mongers out there have her contact information, please PM me, I'the be happy to share some intel.

Valentina: If you like them skinny with a very model-esque face and a nice ass, Valentina is your girl. As opposed to most paisas, she is very reliable and available on short notice. I've included a pic of Valentina also.

Lauren: Same girl from my last trip in late May, and still a mind-blowingly awesome time. You will either love her or hate her, and I can't get enough of her. She has been working a lot in Bogota these days and is only in Medellin about ½ the time. Lauren absolutely loves sex and will get very into the session, but at the same time is very money oriented and usually only allows 2 rounds during a tln session. She is not the type to hide her feelings though, and if you get along well you are in for an awesome session that is genuinely passionate. In terms of looks, my buddy had Wendy the same night I had Lauren and we both agreed Lauren is hotter, which is saying a lot IMO (though beauty is all in the eye of the beholder).

Wendy: I didn't session with her but a lot of guys have been slamming her lately because of her 'attitude' on facebook. Wendy is an absolute sweetheart but has to act a bit colder online, otherwise she'the spend every waking moment on fb chat.

Not really an issue. Even a complete newbie can find chicas all over in MDE. Facebook, Liquid Lounge, the strip clubs, the casas, etc. And FWIW, the Mansion is quite a bit more expensive than an equivalent room elsewhere.

IMO the only reason to stay at the Mansion (or up the hill) is the camaraderie with fellow guests. All of my visits to MDE have been by myself and IMO it's worth it to have a group of guys to hang out with. Usually most of the guests are guys I know from previous visits. That type of social atmosphere is something I'm not going to find anywhere else that I'm aware of. If one doesn't need or want that type of setting, it makes little sense to stay at the Mansion. And I say that being a big fan of the place!

Seems to me that if you like hanging out with other Mansion guys you could easily save the difference in the room rate from a cheaper apartment just by sharing a cab and splitting a bottle at a club. Personally I rarely go there.

I use facebook. Go to the clubs and still like meeting Mansion chicks just because it is effortless and you can really get to know them and even try them on for size before deciding whether or not she is worth an all night affair.

The only reason to stay at the Mansion is to meet the chicks. Would be nice if Liquid could give the Mansion a run for it's money in the chick department but it still doesn't come close.

Whoa Whoa Whoa! Slow up cowboys! We all know it ain't that easy! If it was there would be no market for MM and for those guys who have no language skills the MM is the place to go. It's safe to say the convince factor is what the allure is to stay there and as I said previously and you reiterated in the quoted post is that the buddies factor is huge. What's the point of fucking 4 hot chicas in one day if you can't high five somebody? LOL!

Once again because it seems like guys on this board having reading comprehension problems. I don't stay at the MM so I don't care about the Booze policy. I was just trying put out a well balanced view of the situation. You know maybe try to help out the next guy.

I have no interest in the new policy but I can see why they would do it and why people would be against it. The most obvious problem would be that you need to have your own rolodex of girls and that just isn't the case with some dudes and newbies. With this lack of chicas in a apartment has the "No new chica" problem too; at the Mansion new girls are always poping into the scene so you know fresh blood or the option to sit and chill with a girl before you take her to your room. Plus the loss of "buddies" and being able to crew up and go out with the toher guests. In a way that bar at the Mansion and Liquid Lounge lessens these issues. The biggest part you need to think on is that pretty much every rental places clearly states that your rental has a policy of no loud parties so if you want to have a gang of chicas over don't get too nuts.

So the cost of the "corking fee" or buying drinks at the Mansion vs the leg work of getting your own girls. Which is more important to you?

I think I stayed in this place recently. The location is great because you are close to parque lleras. The actual facility was OK, but I did have a few minor issues. The water pressure in the shower was really low, the back door only had a gate on it so it was virtually open to bugs or the weather elements. That wasn't a problem other than my roomies said they saw a gigantic roach in the kitchen, that they eventually killed. Also, it got really chilly one night with no door in the back. There was also a significant rip in the couch that made it look kinda ghetto and a few other very minor things.

All in all, I would recommend the place. However, if you go with roommates remember that there are only 2 bathrooms and one is in the master bedroom so the guys with the other rooms and their chicas might be stuck with one bathroom. Obviously, this wasn't a problem for you because you went alone. Glad you had a great time!

Yep that's the same apartment with the same problems. I think even thou its three bedrooms its ideal for two people so that way you have separate bathrooms and more privacy.

So I personally prefer the Mansion and don't want to stay anywhere else. BUT finding girls is not that hard for vets. They are everywhere. Facebook, Romancelatina, LatinCupid from the internet. You can go to casas like New Life, Sexi, etc and get number. Strip Clubs and if you want a Mansion girl just go meet them at Liquid Lounge. Hell half of them have been reviewed on here and other forums. In fact it is cheaper to stay in an apartment. I pay the extra cost to stay at the Mansion because of things like being able to share a bottle of alcohol, food, music, etc I have brought in. Take that away and why don't I just go to an apartment? Just my 2 cents, everyone has their own opinion.

I thought the alcohol policy was much ado about nothing. I wouldn't think of bringing my own booze to drink around the pool at the Intercontinental. But, Jay makes a lot of sense. I get it. My gut feeling is that the "no alcohol" policy was not well thought out. Greg proclaims that he "doesn't give a shit." He doesn't have an interest in the club, but Robert's monopolistic edict does the Mansion, no good. In a sense, it changes the culture. I've spent my share of time around the pool sharing an excellent single malt whiskey with those around. And it's not anything that is available on site. Scotch is not Chivas Regal; no blends for me. Times chance and so does the experience of staying at the Mansion, but I hope the "you can't bring your own booze and share around the pool" rule is revisited and abandoned. This is something that Greg ought to give a shit about: The hotel is business.

I spend 4 nights in Medellin Wed-Sun staying in a 3 bedroom apartment from Poblado rentals with 3 bedroom being the only one available when I booked. I used the managers recommended driver who picked me up from the airport for 72,000 pesos and took me to the apartment and organised Ruben to meet me there with the keys etc. I thought this was the easiest option instead of trying to organise meeting Ruben there myself without a phone. The apartment was great and independent so no problems with bringing girls there as it wasn't in an high rise apartment building. Cable tv, internet and mobile phone were all provided which was nice. It was about to blocks from parque lleras with bars and restaurants. Highly recommended, $105 per night for 1 person.

The price differencial is minimal vs the cost of doing what we do when we go to MDE. The price differential is what? 5K? 10K? 20K? If you spent a few hundred or a thousand bucks to go to the city of Eternal Spring and have our way with as many gorgeous women as we can possibly have, then chalk it up to the price of doing business. Besides, it lightens the luggage and the chances of some moronic bag carrier on the flight from destroying the private stash on the way to Medellin. It has happened to me more than once!

I am not taking up for the Mansion guys (I do not stay there anymore) , but is there some special reason why you MUST drink outside of your room or by the pool? I always kept alcohol in my room and would drink it with any chica I brought to the room. Never had the need to want to share it every monger and chica staying at the mansion.

When I visited La Cueva I would just buy water or nothing most of the time. I usually wasn't in there long enough to want to drink because I'd find a chica to take back to the room and drink (my alcohol) with. If a chica ever asked me to buy her a drink (and if she was hot) , I'd always respond "no, but I have alcohol back in my room. Quieres ir conmigo?"

I just completed my 1st trip to Colombia a couple of weeks ago. I was browsing the Colombia forums before my trip and would like to thank people who input valuable information. The best work I have found come from the maps / lists supplied worldtraveller69 & mattpsyche on all forums so thanks. I tried posting a couple of questions on the board but either received no response or negative ones. At the time it pissed me off but after reading this forum for a few weeks now I can understand the backlash as there is a lot of useless posts. As a newbie the information on here is great, my below post isn't going to be anything new for most people but I thought I would post my report to get some creditability for future requests and information.
