Posts: 4026New Life is Centro's own Gringo Gulch bubble. The 50 K upsell pitch is proof positive. 30 K is the prevailing rate around Centro but no hate for the girls charging what the gringo market will bear.

I see some prices quoted as "mil" on here and I am not sure how to translate that. Obviously it's not 50 mil COP. What does that abbreviation translate to in comparison of say 100,000 COP?

Just went to new life around noon.
At least 15 in the lineup. Highest rated I'the say 6. 5-7 but definitely enough good looking girls to get the job done. 70 mil 30 minutes. Can't beat that. Chose Celeste great service. No extras for me but offered 50 mil for oral natural. Bunch of loud as hell black Americans just hanging out in the lobby like their at a sports bar.

Posts: 4026I think it's good you are experiencing more of the city. I agree you should look for buildings with a doorman and all other amenities you want or need. I personally won't live in a building without a doorman. As you discover more of the city it will be come clear that the vast majority of buildings (including those with doormen) are definitely not in the two neighborhoods you mentioned. Medellin is more diverse than it appears through the lens of areas most familiar to gringos.

Posts: 207But the vas majority of buildings with doormen are probably located in the barrios I mentioned. It does enhance safety I agree but I have lately ventured in to la América, BA and Belen type barrios and mostly independent homes or buildings. I would have to go back and specifically look for doorman or budling security before renting now.

I think this is something like what unions did to US industry. Workers kept demanding more and more, which is fine you can demand whatever you want, but then one day the factory moves to China or Mexico.
I predict that fastest growing companies of the next decade will be those manufacturing cat food. Cats are the only hope for lonely women everywhere.
