Sounds like we've had the same experiences jajaja. I have 2 cells. Haven't had to use both yet in Medellin, but won't be long.

Maybe you've had this experience too, I love this story.

I was seeing this crazily hot girl and I knew she was a player, but she was not a prepago, she just liked to go to all the best places and then make an excuse why she can't sleep with you. (Eventually I nailed her, and man was it worth the effort. I put in a lot of effort though).

Anyway, I guess I was her #2 or 3 boyfriend, depending who was in town at the time. So one Saturday night she said she couldn't go out, so I went to the irish pub alone.

Guess who strolls by holding hands with a tall, bald gringo? I look up and see her, she pretends not to see me, then heads straight for the exit, practically dragging the poor guy out.

Now, I couldn't care less, I was happy with the arrangement we had, as I was finally having sex with her, and I still got to go out on my own sometimes, so I didn't want to fight over it, so I just acted like nothing happened.

The funny part is, next day she calls me, and starts reaming me out, 'why were you at the irish pub? Who were you waiting for? ' I could only laugh at her brazeness. Best defense is a good offense, she knew that.

So I said to her, 'who was that guy you were holding hands with? '

She tells me, and you are already going to know the answer, as it's always this answer: 'he's my cousin! '

Too funny. The guy was as white and gringo as they come.

The result was great though, as she knew I knew and vice versa, so the game playing stopped, and the sex got better and more frequent. I ended up being the guy she would call after a dinner date with some poor guy who hadn't figured her out yet. (The guy I used to be, but now I had magically worked my way up the pyramid jajaja).

More than once I'd be in bed with her, right in the middle of it when her phone would ring, as it did non stop. She'd answer and be saying to the guy; 'oh I miss you too, I can't wait to see you', while she was giving me the sneakiest smile and putting her finger to her lip to tell me to be quiet.

This seemed to really turn her on, and so sometimes she would make a call to a guy while we were at it, just for fun. She was a bad girl, and I sure wish she was still around.

She married some guy from Calgary and apparently settled down, which I find so hard to believe. But hey, you never know.

If you're in calgary and you see an incredibly hot asian looking colombiana, say Hi to her for me.

That's brilliant. Hehehehe. Start getting too emotional and you blow the arrangement. After that incident in the pub you made the transition to the other side With her.

I am convinced it is all in your attitude. You can't get caught up or emotional until you really know for sure and it's something you're certain you both want.

Unless you know for sure that she is not a player and unless you live near each other, there is no reason to get serious with these girls until that point. Live in another country / city? Forget it. You're probably guy #6. You will get burned or maybe you just won't find out she is doinking a list of other guys. Every time you fly out she KNOWS it could be the last time she ever sees you and even though she is only 24 she thinks she is old and does not want to waste time. She will keep you in remojo (soaking) or on the back burner we would say in english.

I got a girl who has a Caleño boyfriend and he is currently living in Cali, she says he is great and that she doesn't like paisa men and that they see each other about once a month. Her Facebook is loaded with pictures of her and this guy. I don't have to tell you what we do twice a week when he is not around.

It's good to be on the other side.

As I said, I enjoy the games, up to a point. I have a history of going out with these semi pros and non pros until the drama gets to be too much, then I switch to going with the pure pros for a while.

Sometimes it's a lot of guessing and thinking and wondering? And then jumping back to the pros, no strings attached is just so much more peaceful, no need to answer to anyone, do what you want, don't have to carry two cell phones or the one you do have doesn't need to be on silent. Jejejeje.

I think all these cartonero guys have machetes, and they seem to only fight amongst themselves, thank god.

But I had to wonder, why would he pick a fight with a poor guy armed with an iron bar, instead of the rich tourist with $150 in his pocket?

You walking down the street may have a gun. Unknown.

You are safer by not wielding A weapon and showing your cards. The unknown is scary, anyone could be packing any type of firearm and gun anyone else down on the street and the risk of getting caught is a tiny fraction of what it is in the US, Europe etc. People get wasted all the time 3-4 a night sometimes in neighborhoods I don't wish to name.

But

The guys or sicarios that could and will snuff you in a matter of seconds will be unknown by you. You will never see him or them coming. There is not going to be 3 hour abduction where you are transported to a secluded warehouse and get tied up and talked to for hours about how you did some girl wrong and the father will be stopping by to have a talk with you or whatever revenge the dad has in mind, giving you every opportunity to be James Bond and escape. These people are busy and taking someone out is not a game in Colombia like it is in the movies. It happens in seconds and the body is left in the street.

The dirty gamines in the streets flailing their sticks or knives are no big threat if you spot them first and avoid them. They can't move all that fast, are weak and worn down (even the 20 year olds) and are too glued up to see more than 10 feet in front of them. It's the little 12 year old gamine boys that run in packs whose bodies are not totally shot yet, thems is who you got to watchout for.

These streets are by far the most dangerous part of Medellin. Yesterday in Sabeneta I saw a Dump Truck clip and roll over with the back 4 tires a 10 year old kid on a bike. Very sad but very real. Yes, died on the spot! No covering the body for hours. Beware when crossing!

They don't cover shit in Colombia, Saw murdered bodies in Cali, no yellow sheets. A whole family run over on a moto, no yellow sheets, and the crowds of people and onlookers is surreal. They just stand there and watch for hours.

Interesting to hear because in the four blocks that I walk home every time I go to Lleras at night I've never seen anything like that. I saw three knife fights in Centro but only one person actually got stabbed. Went back to Sabeneta yesterday and was surprised that they were having a packed service for the boy who was run over the day before. Word travels fast because everyone I talked to knew about it.

But I did have a bit of a scare last night walking home at midnight from lleras. A guy with a machete was fighting with a cartonero, who managed to fend him off with an iron bar. The machete guy then took to following me. I turned at the first street where I knew some armed guards were and went up to wish them a nice evening. The machete guy had already turned down another street, so he probably was harmless, but think I will taxi the 6 blocks home from now on.

Last visit one night I got pulled over by 2 cops on a motorcycle. All 4 of us had to get out of the car, show our I'd and answer questions. They call this a safety check since they had no visible reason to pull us over. Then across the intersection. BAM! SUV hits Hyundai. Or should I say "runs over Hyundai." Police interview over and we were on our way. Just more affirmation that the streets are crazy. I liked having a driver with an SUV last time. To walk or taxi is often a tough debate. P. S. I'm trying to PM Palermo. According to the instructions in FAQs I should be able to but I don't have the option to do so. I'll be in MDE this Monday staying in Pargue Lleras.

In relation to getting laid in MDE, obviously there are more than a few kinds of women to interact with.

There are many that have it in their mind that they don't want to do it but believe she has no other choice and no amount of money or charm is going to make her like you. Luckily, they are fairly easy to identify but perhaps less easy to walk away from. You just have to do it. IMO personality is the most important feature in any person. Hygene a close second. Haha. In contrast, I have found that a large population, although not engaged in their ideal profession, want you to have a good time and understand what to do to make that happen. After all, it's really not that difficult to figure out. With these "types," give them a little polite conversation, a playful "prove it to me" attitude and the chemistry has a knack of kicking in big time! If you just exchange #'s without actually interacting, they already know they got you and lose their motivation. Besides! Why would you do that with sooooo many options? You may be a monger but is looking like one at all to your advantage? C'mon guys learn a few extra Spanish verbs and be amazed at how much you can make these girls laugh and how much more fun it is.

I have found this to be true of the MM girls as well as in clubs and Mayorista. Speaking of which, is Mayorista a unique spot in MDE? I thought the sit down, casual atmosphere was fantastic. I heard rumor of someplace similar with lots of bars and clubs in Sabaneta but never ventured out that way. Anybody have info on that?

I have been having 'highly average' experiences with well known girls, so it's nice to be able to post something more positive about my experience in Medellin.

I chatted online with this girl, let's call her 'j', for 2 weeks or more before finally arranging a meeting with her at a coffee shop. Her online photo is spectacular, and odds are you have seen her photo. She's not quite so hot in person, but the photos is real and she has a rack that is second to none. She has a few extra pounds, but she looks good and is a woman, not one of the skinny kids that seem to be everywhere.

We had a great chat and I thought she was looking only for a serious relationship, but she flirted a bit and when I told her I had been with a prepago from the same website she said 'why did you do that? That is a very old story! I actually was walking my dog (when the dude passed me on his bike) and was shot after he turned a corner.

I saw this on the news last night and know a lot of guys who rent apartments on that block. They showed pictures of a 35-45 ish naked guy (in good shape) lying face up by the dining room table.
