To me it seems very unlikely that you will get robbed by a girl who you bring back to your place if you have already agreed on a price. For example, a Parque Lleras girl who you have agreed on a price with. The girl knows she's getting paid so she has a lot less incentive to have to steal from you.
If I was in Medellin all the time and had to budget, I could see negotiating down and going for the women in El Centro. But if you are a tourist there for a week, I would not even bother. It makes no sense to me to be spending that much money on the air fare and hotel and then cheapening it up. I saw higher class women and never was worried about being stolen from or drugged by them.

Thing about scopolamine is that it made into this wonder drug and all it is just an anti-histamine like Benadryl. It is given these amazing powers but it does not work if you blow it in someone's face or a girl kisses you with it after she has sprinkled on her lips. It needs to be given by injection or orally to have an effect.

So you can take a pill to block its effects and there is a shot you can take that will automatically reverse the effects of scopolamine. If you want to know what they are, PM me.

But scopolamine is glorified Benadryl, and that tells me the reports of its danger are ridiculously exaggerated. Sure, make sure you have the waiters open the bottle in front of you and keep your eye on your drink. I just think short term tourists should not be dealing with the SWs. There are just too many safer alternatives.

A bit about me: I am mid-fifties, divorced and live in a medium-sized midwestern US city. I have limited experience with international travel or fulltime SW's but a good bit of experience with local sugar babies (mostly seeking) over the past 4 years.

The Scopolamine issue isn't adequately discussed online, because most victims are unwilling to admit they were drugged and robbed. It's the same with guys who have gotten robbed in other ways, or scammed. Maybe 1 in 5 will publicly admit to it.

However, it also gets blown out of proportion by people repeating urban legends, or claiming to know a victim. I know that's not much help. It's best, instead of worrying about there being an epidemic of scopolamine attacks, to focus on how to prevent being the victim. The same is true when considering other potential personal security issues.

About 3 years ago a Canadian University Professor was drugged, robbed and killed, and his dismembered body wasn't found for a couple of weeks. If I remember correctly, his cards had $15 k withdrawn from them. It was later reported that the perpetrators we're using Tinder to select victims. I believe that was the first time such acts were connected to Tinder.

How do you reduce your risks? These steps are my opinion. Others will almost certainly disagree.

    1. The people in Medellin are friendly. That doesn't mean they are your friends. If anyone starts treating you like a friend, offering to take you to a better place, trying to get you to drink with them, be suspicious of their motives.

    2. Keep your wits about you. Getting drunk in public increases your risk. It's much easier to recognize that you're feeling dizzy or confused when you're sober.

    3. Be aware of the people who are paying too much attention to you. The chance of running into someone who went to high school with your brother is miniscule (although it did happen to a friend I was with in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 41 years ago. I thought we were about to get our asses kicked, but it turned out we drank for free, because the bar owner was from the same city as my friend).

    4. Keep control of your drink. Don't let the girl you picked up make a drink for you. Don't leave your drink unattended. Don't drink anything offered by a stranger.

    5. Recognize that anyone can be a victim. I know people who have mongered all over the world, with many years of experience, who have gotten caught because they let their guard down.

    6. Carry just a little bit of paranoia with you. If someone is trying to get close, or trying to distract you, assume they aren't looking out for your best interests. Keep them at a distance and move to a safer spot, inside of an open business, next to a cop, or anywhere where you can quickly attract attention.

I would forget about your belief that knowing she will get paid is a deterrent. If you're a gringo, in Parque Lleras, you're probably worth robbing. That doesn't mean the risk is high. Every day 1,000 gringos pay for sex without any problems. As long as you remain alert, your chances of avoiding problems are quite good.

Flawed in this sense. The ones using Scopalmine are part of organized groups. They don't work alone. Generally. So whether or not she agrees to a price beforehand is irrelevant.

Your best protection is that the place you are staying checks the cedula. And checks with you that everything is Ok when the gal leaves. Ideally. That will help. Along with the other rules of never leaving your drink out of sight, etc.

And the other things you can do. Go to casas, strip clubs, even Facebook dates will generally be safer than something like tinder.

I asked the guy working there how much for 30 mins and he quoted me 100 K. A couple of the girls there were worth banging. Now a 100 K price is a bargain for someone flying straight from the pussy-desert known as the USA, but I've been in Bogota for a few weeks where I've been banging chicas in casa for 35 K for half and hour. So, feeling like a cheapstake, there was no way I was going to pay 100 K here. I don't want to feed the price inflation.

So, I walk off to New Life. It's a blue door. Just push to open, and then there are two metal security doors. Ring the bell, and they will be opened automatically. Once upstairs, I said "Es mi primera vez aqui" to the mamasan, to which she replied in near perfect English "I know, I can tell. " and she went onto explain the rules. Price list is on the wall 55 K for 30 mins etc. If you decide to walk after seeing the girls you need to pay 3 K. All signs are in Spanish AND English. I was shown about 15 girls. Most were bangable, and I chose a curvy one with big tits and big ass. Oh, another great rule here is that a shower before is mandatory. I like that, because Medellin is a hot city, and I like to be clean before the deed. The time for the shower doesn't count towards the 30 minutes. You pay the money after the bang..
Is their hot water in shower's, a big plus for me, thanks for the reports.

What your describing is as a result of the Pandemic when Colombia was one of a very few Countries literally wide open to mongering hence droves and droves of mongers, especially Asian mongers started coming here. And prior to the onset of the Pandemic, Colombia was becoming more and more popular each year, yet I would say the gringo density today is at least ten times if not more than pre-pandemic.

The bang itself was just okay. The girl was pretty but didn't allow kissing, or licking of the nipples, and the BJ (covered) lasted about 2 minutes. She thought she was a great actress with tons of fake moans, but I just wished she would shut the fuck up. Anyway, I banged her straight for 25 minutes, and the heat and sweat meant I had to stop.

I will return to New Life, but for another chica. It's not like the Bogota casas which are like a bar with loud music. You can just hang out there with a drink, bang, have another drink, and bang another chica etc. This place is like a UK massage parlour of old. You enter, pick a girl, fuck, and get out.

Little do they know that's not "living".

If a chica speaks understandable English, quotes in dollars, hangs out in Poblado regularly she is probably being tainted. Chicas migrate between El Centro and Poblado. A better experience for me is to avoid most Gringo hangouts and areas. I prefer parts of town that cater mostly to locals. The cultural experience is much better, personalities are more genuine and believe it or not the food is more authentic. Commercialized food is not always the answer. Colombian middle class and up are my target areas. The price for everything is lower and the chicas aren't on that Western / USA / Europe bullshyt.

Traveling to mid sized cities is a good idea for avoiding most Gringos. There are all kinds of nice cities in Colombia that have minimal Gringo exposure.

    Interesting

You are the one who has been telling them to come to Centro and giving them instructions everyday for years.

But the onslaught of them since the Pandemic has tarnished a lot of the Chica's in El Centro.

A few days ago a Chica quoted me 100 K for a rato with no discussion of what was included. I started laughing at her, told her I wasn't a fool, and walked away. And she was no beauty queen either.

My point is, there are a lot of "gringos" paying way more than the locals do. And there are a lot of Chica's specifically looking for gringo clients, which I give them credit for, as I would if I was in this profession.

I remember years ago before there were many gringos here at all that there was little of the bullshit that some of the Chicas try to pull these days.

But I felt safe walking around Plaza Botero, because amongst the vagabondas (homeless), there were lots of regular people taking photos around the statues etc. I walked around the streets where the SW's hang out and to be honest, I was seriously disappointed at the quality of the girls. I have pretty low standards, so I wasn't looking for 7's or 8's. Just a normal girl who is a 5 or 6 would be sufficient. Maybe the rain had scared some of them away.

Then I walked to Parque Berrio station to see if there were any girls hanging around the stairways, and there were only 2 - one of which looked very suspect.

So, I tried to look for the coffee / candy girls, and again I was very disappointed. The ones they show on YouTube vids are pretty hot! But the few I saw were much older, and definitely not bangable..
Go on a better day when it hasn't been raining so much and branch out further within the surrounding areas. Botero Plaza and Berrio Station aren't the only places in El Centro. When you wander around the same track as everyone else it gets old fast. Don't limit yourself to the same thing that everyone else is doing or copy that.

The quality of the girls working Centro, primarily Vennies has been way down for a few months as a lot of the prettier ones that used to work there have not come back, yet there are new faces everyday.

What you observed is what I describe as "fuglies", meaning fat and pudgy Chicas, and there are lots of them which you noticed.

Just taking a short time pass thru Centro doesn't really give a good snapshot of things as you recognize such as rain.

Also the slowest days in Centro are Sunday's, followed by Monday when things ramp back up. Best days would be Thursday afternoon thru Saturday.

And I've seen some prettier girls working the stairs at the Parque Berrio Station on the Hotel Nutibarra side of the Station, but it's very hit and miss.

Be patient next time your in Centro, you can have some good experiences, it's just a matter of timing and luck.

Have you tried to station yourself near ground zero (cra 52 and CL 52). It is the intersection to your left when you face the museum. You will find many here in addition to the bar street.
