If she agreed to take a sip I would have prevented her. The last thing you want is a drugged puta in your hotel room.

    Suggestion

    Guys,

I want to say thank you. The recent reports have sufficiently scared the shit out of me. Haha and I don't scare easily. Those that know me know I'm not the most cautious monger. I'm not particularly foolish (most of the time) but I operate with little fear. I use caution and trust my gut. But based on these reports, and some real time info from some amigas living in Medellin, I do think we're in a time where crimes against mongers are elevated. As others have said, we are attractive targets.

I haven't really thought this through so I'm just throwing an idea out there. Many of us, myself included, travel alone. When I'm in country, even many of my "real life" friends and family do not know my location. But I'm wondering if there is an opportunity to help each other out. As I think through this, I'm not sure it would work. Nor would it necessarily prevent anything. But I wonder if there is something we can do to "check in" with another monger in the country. My activities probably put me at a higher risk. I love going to the bars, drinking and partying with the girls. I enjoy that very much and without that, I'm not sure how frequently I would visit. I'm aware of the risk and I'm willing to take those risks. One thing I do is befriend the bouncers or doormen. They will absolutely look out for you if you treat them well and offer a small tip. (I can give examples! LOL) I'm not one of those obnoxious American drunks at all. I'm low key, I don't make a scene, etc. But I have had a night or two where I probably should have been robbed or drugged because I partied a little too hard.

My suggestion: is there any value in texting or messaging a fellow in-country monger to say here are my plans, here's when I should be back, and if you don't hear from me by a certain time, call the hotel staff for a wellness check? Like I said, I can envision many challenges to this. But I do want to think out of the box. We got a good thing in MDE and I worry that this uptick in druggings and robberies is a trend that can upset the apple cart.

Criminals prey on you because of where you visit and who you fuck. Typical? LOL

So to those who believe that the girls in Provenza, who party at Sixttina are average, make $250/ month. LOL. Need your money? Think again. Or stay in Centro. You are a minority scraping the bottom WG's of Colombia. ELEVATE your mindset. Enjoy the real Colombia. It's there when you open your minds. AND YOUR WALLETS and it's still affordable.

    Thanks for that info.

The only time I drank alcohol with women was when we were at a restaurant and I never left the table until we were ready to go. Don't get drunk with them, let them drink if they want, but keep your senses. Also, drinking alcohol can lead to whiskey dick and I'm here to fuck them, not get drunk with them.

This is the utmost important advice you can follow. They can't drug you by blowing powder in your face or getting it absorbed through your skin. You have to ingest it.

Finally, get a place that requires ID for entrance, order all transportation yourself (I exclusively used Uber including picking them up and dropped off), and don't leave them unattended for too long. I avoided getting Rappi (food delivery) because that would mean I had to go downstairs to get it. But if I did, I would 100% tell her to come down with me. No way I'm leaving someone in my apartment by themselves. Instead, I ordered room service or went to a restaurant..
Good advice about not drinking in the apartment. I have a question did any of them spent the night with you? I know obviously that wouldn't be the smartest thing to do but I'm wondering how many people here have done it with out any problems.

Nowhere do papayas hang lower than when a guy has his pants around his ankles. What are you going to do? Go to a cop and say, "Hey, I brought a hooker up to my room and she rolled me!" Prostitution isn't illegal in Colombia, but soliciting sex (mongering) is. They just caught a guy from San Fran at the airport in Medellin for offering money for sex online, and then there's always the tale of Cuba Dave. Most risks can be managed effectively, but the first step is to be fully cognizant that the hobby carries a lot of risks in the best of circumstances.
And I'm very familiar with the Cuba Dave story. Nothing to do with organized crime there, just a test of their legislation against promotion of sex tourism (and a few other tidbits thrown in). I think the link between organized crime and prostitution is mainly true in the US, to a lesser extent in other places that have more liberal laws. And in CR connected with non-organized crime more commonly. Guys pimping their girlfriends / wives and certainly pimping the illegal residents in some cases.

The organized crime part is that there are standing offers to otherwise independent girls to deliver guys to them. Not saying that these organized crime groups control the girls, or many of them in any case. But these deals are on a transactional basis. You get x dollars / pesos if you can get a guy drugged and then call us.

I think that part of the organized approach has increased a lot in the recent past.

Before calling others "naive" please link us to the Colombian legal statute that confirms that offering sex for money (mongering) is illegal in Colombia. Pimping is illegal there, but that's a different matter altogether. Also Cubadave was charged under some obscure statute which prohibits using the media in ways that harm the reputation of the country, not mongering or pimping or anything like that. Finally, if you are talking about this asswipe, Thomas Renno from the Bay area who was nabbed at the airport in Medellin, 2019, he was up to way more than soliciting sex. WHOM he was soliciting was the issue, not the soliciting itself.

Please do some research before engaging your mouth, or just drop out. That would benefit the community while saving others the time it takes to correct nonsense.

I had a great time in Medellin. Met up with a few ISG members and we went out every night. I'm going back next month to hook up with these same women.
    Good advice, VJ.

It is in their best interest that they not kill very many, but they are likely using the home made versions of scopolamine as it can be manufactured there direct from a tree that grows in the areas including Bogota, and dosage may be uncertain.

I guess I always learn the hard way, I know better than to bring chicas back to my place especially one's I don't really know that well, I was thinking with my dick instead of my head and after I noticed the powder on the beer I honestly don't know why I didn't throw the * out of my apartment right away. The good news is that I didn't drink the beer, I didn't pass out or even die, and while I'm out about $250 usd worth of electronics, I can always buy those things back again and it honestly wouldn't put much of a dent in my wallet at the moment.

Please be careful out there guys. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me in all the 5 years I've been coming to Colombia, but it seems to me that people are robbing and stealing more than they used to. A friend of mine recently had his IPhone stolen in Centro and even a vennie I know had her phone stolen as well. This for me is just a lesson to learn about not being so trusting of people which really I already knew but I guess I was just getting to confident or too comfortable, but it could have turned out much worse.
You may have gotten complacent which is often the case when things go your way and your having so much fun.

That's why she was in my room for 2. 5 hours, it probably took several tries for her to get the safe and devices open as I was stupefied by the drug. This is my last comment on this. I have been on two year's worth of lunch dates here. Conversation on this day was normal to above normal, she never advertised herself as a puta nor looked like one nor was I looking for one. She presented herself as a woman who went to a technical institite and had a stable job. We were not partying or headed for the bed. When she left my hotel that night on moto (google maps location tracking), one ATM card went south and the other made several withdrawals moving north. Credit cards immediately were being used for online and in-person charges. There were a lot of people behind this and they were well-organized. Anyways I'm still here, I like Colombia. But it's a jungle out there. Weekend warriors who visit for five days and declare Colombia safe are very ill-informed. Be safe everyone.
There are guys that say "this will never happen to me because. ".
