I made a date with a chica for 6:30 telling her to message me at 5:45 to confirm she is ready to leave. She does and I give her my address. At 6:20 she messages me to say she finally got a taxi and is on the way. She is 30 minutes away. At 6:50 I ask her to send me her location so I can see where she is. She is still home. I tell her not to come and not to message me again, that I can not trust her. 20 minutes later I get a message from her she is in the taxi 10 minutes away. I tell her to turn around. Then we go through the usually appolgy and begging. She then begs for me to at least pay her taxi. I tell her I am no longer home and blocker her. I tell her not to 'treat the next gringo like an idiot'. Guys here will tell me this is comon. It is comon because Gringos are idiots who let the girls do this to them all the time and wait however long. Gentlemen don't be that idot! I had another girl linds up before she was in her taxi.

On another note, people are getting nervous about the Corona Virus here. There was panic shopping in the markets last weekend even though no reported cases yet in Colombia. With all the tourists here, I'm sure it is here and like Washington state will just take a few weeks to show up. I'm thinking of cutting my month long trip short, I do not want to end up in quarentine somewhere or even worse (though it is unlikely) in a Colombian ICU. Yes I know unlikley scenarios but still many girls to shag and I'm not taking any chances.

Had the same thing happen and did not see the chica. I give a 30 minute window cause I understand things happen but if they haven't even left yet, that's a no go.

I just was at Exito yesterday and everything was totally stocked as normal. But I agree with you that with so many tourists, it is most definitely already here, as I am under the impression it is everywhere at this point honestly. I have two weeks left and am hoping I can finish it out and not leave early but am open to that as a necessary possibility as I have the same concerns.

On another note, people are getting nervous about the Corona Virus here. There was panic shopping in the markets last weekend even though no reported cases yet in Colombia. With all the tourists here, I'm sure it is here and like Washington state will just take a few weeks to show up. I'm thinking of cutting my month long trip short, I do not want to end up in quarentine somewhere or even worse (though it is unlikely) in a Colombian ICU. Yes I know unlikley scenarios but still many girls to shag and I'm not taking any chances.

It may be the other way around in that the Colombian Government today announced enhanced screening for the Counties most affected by the Coronavirus including the USA entering the Country.

So until the virus shows up in Colombia it will be easier to leave the Country versus coming into it. So I would not cut your trip short just yet unless all of a sudden there are a bunch of cases putting Colombia on a "no fly list".

Mind if I ask you what app you used to locate that ATM?

I looked up addresses online in advance on the bank website and also closely studied google maps in the area to identify the ATMs. Following that I added the locations to a copy of google maps; my maps. They are stored on google drive.

Just use Google maps. If you're looking for a specific bank, type in the name. If you're just looking for ATMs you can search for either ATM or Cajero.

What I do know is that the Venezuelans are so desperate that they will be out there working. They have nothing else to do in that they are in Medellin to make money to send back home. I will be in town on those days, and will report back on what I notice, and yes El Centro will be shut down, but there will still be Venezuelans working.

A couple years ago on Holy Thursday and Friday, el Centro was dead, absolutely nobody except the Zombies out.

I avoid looking for girls those days and hang with known amiguitas.

Now that I got. Working phone I used it to track down a Scotiabank Colapatria ATM to withdraw money. I have a Capital One checking account that doesn't charge international fees etc. And the Scotiabank doesn't charge fees either. Exchange rate: 3385.113.

It's in Floridablanca so it is a little out of the way. They have a small farm there. Actually the only two times I have been there a driver who knows the family took me there. I plan on going to see the business in May if the Coronavirus doesn't cancel my trip. Thanks for the offer. I know it was made in the spirit of best intentions.
