I just can't figure out the gringo deal though. And I am just as guilty of it as anyone else. Why do we go to other countries and want to "date" the hookers? Take them to dinner, dancing, site seeing with us? And it really trips me out even more when I think would we even do this where we are from? I don't think so. How many guys here when back home order up a hooker and take her to dinner and dancing without giving a damn about what others think? Usually you fuck and send her on her way, not wanting to bring any unnecessary attention and maybe even being ashamed to be seen with a hooker. So why is it that when we go to a different country the conventional john-hooker relationship dynamic goes out the window for us?

First of all. I don't see anything about most of the prepagos that I know that would indicate they are a prepago. If you are going out and people think she is a prepago it is because you most likely look like a john. And if that is the case and it bothers you or her. You should probably spend your time in the privacy of your apartment. But it is still nice to get to know someone and enjoy someone's company outside the bedroom. I wouldn't take MedellinGringo's posts too seriously. I've known the guy for 20 years and he is harmless. He has always thought he was better than any other gringo when traveling to Colombia and running with the prepagos (except for a select few). He is a good guy, but something recently must have brought him down a peg or two when out on the town with his 20 old barrio girls. He told me the other day he spent 13 grand on some extensive plastic surgery. Its hard to fight father time and even the smoothest and most handsome, well dressed johns in Colombia will start getting looks from the locals sooner or later. Most will pay the looks no mind. Guys like MG take it personally and spend many sleepless nights fretting about it, then take drastic measures by going under the knife. My question is, do the barrio prepagos think he is more attractive? I doubt it. They would find him more attractive if he gave them the 13 grand.

I do this once in a while because it is fun. A working girl can also be a nice girl, with whom one can have a good time, eating, dancing, etc. I did that just recently in Pattaya, where I picked a chick from Airline. She was a sweet girl, spoke very little English, yet I had a great time with her outside the club. And, I have done that many times before, in many different places.

I am not sure what kind of working girls you are meeting, but I can assure you that I met many nice ones over time, well worth spending time with. I even did that in the US where I live. And, of course I do that in Medellin once in a while as well.

Seriously man. What country is this where all the women are forward and approach men in social settings? Because I have lived in USA, France, Brazil, and Thailand and have been to over 100 countries and have yet to see it. It seems like you are leaning towards the Mansion or ColombianJake. I would say don't break your head. Keep it simple. The hot Colombian girls are everywhere. Since you only have 3 days, make a decision to staying with either one and enjoy those three days to the fullest. You won't go wrong by going to the Mansion or Colombianjake. The problem you have is one of limited time and too many P4P options in Medellin. Just keep it simple and make your reservation. At the mansion or Colombianjake, you will get your Colombian curves, will get the chance to explore other places, casas, night clubs, etc, and will get the guidance that you need so they are both good points to start for a newbie in Medellin.

This may be true, but the problem is in lumping the two in as if they are the same. They are not. See post after post for the differences between the two places. Hint: one changes your sheets, has clean pillows, mops the floor, serves breakfast, has a reception and manager on premises, and has a bar and girls onsite. The other doesn't. One is a licensed hotel, and the other is a private apartment having "guests" over to visit him.

Both will get you laid, and since that is all the average horny guy back in the states reading this forum cares about, I guess after all they are the same.

The girls normally blend in very well. Unless you are dealing with centro chicas that buy cheap clothes. Then yes the upper middle class and higher Colombianos can spot the cheap clothes from el centro a mile away and they will know she is poor which is basically the same or worst as being a prepago in their minds.
