This is informative, I'll try to take more precautionary measures. One good suggestion I heard is take the battery out of the camera and hide it in your checked baggage and claim the battery is lost/stolen, and thus you cannot power up your camera.

Though the best solution for me I suppose is to backup all my vids/photos to my laptop, back in the days of mini-dvs you can just keep the dv tapes separate. Now with those HDD drive camera the procedure is much more painful.

First, pay the $20 or whatever to become a member of ISG if you haven't already. Then you should be able to do a search. Search on Username "Col Bog 1". You might also include the keyword "condom" in the same search.
