I stayed in Hotel M in last month and posted my review. I didn't feel unsafe at all. One thing I might do slightly differently is to go LLeras park area and bring a girl back to the hotel since they don't charge any guest fee. Is LLeras walkable from Hotel M?

Is it walkable? Yes. I've done it many times. I've never felt unsafe doing so. But depending on your familarity with the area, comfort level on dark streets, I'm sure some would say it's foolish. But you could avoid the shortcut and take a longer route staying on two very busy streets. That said, uber is super cheap. It'll cost you probably a couple dollars. I'd recommend uber to get you close. Depending on the route, it's probably easiest to walk the last two blocks due to insane traffic.

However, I do not think any chica would be agreeable to that walk. LOL It's not a difficult walk, but it takes 15 minutes, give or take. And it's mostly flat. But I highly doubt any girl would do it. And again, a couple bucks to uber is money well spent.

One word of caution. I've read alot of stories about dangerous taxis leaving lleras. I've never had a problem with them. But uber is probably the safer option.

Not many would. Also there are some quiet spots along that walk (around Parque La Presidenta) that are prime mugging spots. I'll run if I'm alone but not if walking with a chick.

For those of you who don't look like the "gringo", do you find it easier to fit in, get serviced, and not be targeted? I'm not white, and want the girls to know I have cash but at the same time not get overpriced by being from the US.

Rio? Are you serious? Brasil and Colombia both have well-deserved reputations for being dangerous. That said, if you follow certain guidelines, you can reduce, though not eliminate, your chances of being a victim. I've been to both places dozens of times and haven't been a victim (though a couple close calls).

As far as your appearance, it might make a difference. But there have been Black, Latino, and Asian victims of these crimes against foreigners (I believe the article en El Colombiano references a Latino victim, though doesn't say where he's from). It's more important how you act than how you look. Don't throw around money, don't wear jewelry, watch your drink, stay in a place with a reception, etc.

It's also worth mentioning that Colombians themselves get "scoped." It's not limited to foreigners.

I appreciate you calling this out. Clearly lots of aholes on here. Yet I'm the bad guy when I mock them for their rudeness. Mfrs would argue here here and say I ruin their life for overpaying women, on places they don't go or can't afford to go. It's my understanding that in those articles, those men already had connections as nomads built within the city and a target grew on their back as time passed. One was in an hotel, whose guards allowed the female to exit without the man. Something that could've been avoided by going to a hotel with securities who check ID and need the man to be present. I presume if you the woman understands she's being watched by a bribed security, she won't mess around, especially if foreigners pay for a premium hotel as insurance for their safety?

I haven't visited Colombia yet, but it seems that if you follow the rules there shouldn't be an issue. Yes, crimes occur all the time. Still, stick to crowded areas, don't show off, don't walk off a pre planned route or into an alley, don't goto the womans incall, hotel, place, no matter what.

Rio safer than Medellin is hard to make an objective comparison. You can find trouble if you want it as easily as if you were in Atlanta or Baltimore. Even in rich districts the rules of situational awareness apply.

If a woman really wants to mess with you she can. There's always some level risk, heck she could chomp down on your dick. Having rapport with security & trying to avoid lodgings she may have contacts with are helpful.

If I'm worried about a woman's hands & her bags, then that's too big a red flag for me to continue the service. You should be able to overpower her, 3 somes on a 1st date to me are a big No. Asking her to shower with you is what I've done, let's do some foreplay, hygiene, and then assurance for no scope on her.

I'm not white, I've had Colombianas think I'm a dark skinned Colo / Cuban / Dominican, still your body frame, how you walk, and especially how you talk will give you away. You can always say no, negotiate, or walk away.

I am having a little bit of difficulty in finding the Hotel M or Mansion Hotel. If anyone can point me in the direction with an address or a link I would appreciate it. Also looking for any other locations besides close to Lleras that has street girls readily available that are safe to stay in. Another side note, I don't speak Spanish so keep that in mind LOL.

I a very experienced traveler including several locations that have the crime profile of what I'm reading about on the forum and online.

I would say for general, random crime, Medellin is actually safer. But that's kind of luck of the draw. I think there is less concern about girls setting you up in Rio, yes.

Ain't nothing wrong with pulling girls from LLeras. You'll find a lot of variety in LLeras and I'm pretty sure you'll find what you're looking for there. I'd recommend you to go there after midnight. Your sweet spot would be around 2-3 am or after the clubs closed. All the girls will be outside, you will have better options and better negotiations. You can use Google translate, but still recommend to learn basic Spanish to talk to the girls. I've met few girls in LLeras that gave me GFE experience and best sex experience from there. I still talk to them till now and always see them whenever I'm in town. Don't limit yourself to the mansion. If you decide to pick up girls from LLeras, just practice extra caution and always follow your gut instinct, if something doesn't feel right just moved on to the next one, there's plenty of them. DESERVE might have been a rather strong choice of words but his point isn't far off. It is Darwinian natural selection in our modern world. People who come to Colombia to monger or do drugs without understanding the culture and without bothering to learn the language even to a minimal degree are at risk. Then to compound things, some visitors have to show off their wealth by wearing gold chains or flashy watches and / or expensive clothes and pull out their iphones in public. Then they invite a girl to their apartment that has no check-in safeguards and then want to drink with their girl guests. Is it any wonder that they get drugged and robbed and some die or get killed.

This is natural selection at work in the modern world.

You think criminals care about any of this? Laws and rules only impede the people that that will abide by them. Whether they allowed the woman to leave without the man or not, the man would still be dead. Personally, I have never worried about whether a place is so-called safe or not.
