Let's not go to war, but "hit the ATM before 7 PM tomorrow" is advice. Whether it's good advice or bad advice depends on each person's situation, regardless of what happens.

For those who spend much of their time in Colombia, if they have a safe place to keep it, maybe get it before it drops, unless they're already holding plenty of cash. For the infrequent visitors it's a crap shoot.

However, knowing which way the rate is going in advance is helpful.

The reality is the exchange rate is the highest it's ever beer over the past few days being at over 4100 COP to the USD.

I don't think it's a crap shoot to be taking money out right now for anybody, whether it be an infrequent visitor, or someone who is here a lot.

I say this because a few months back the exchange rate hit a high of 4000 COP to the USD and then dropped back down to around 3700 COP to the USD for awhile.

Typically what most ex-pats who live in Colombia do is hit the ATM's when the exchange rate is good, and deposit it in their Colombian bank accounts.

I remember coming to Colombia when the exchange rate was around 1800 COP to the USD.

The pricing of things right now, based on the current exchange rate, are the cheapest I've ever seen them here including inflation.

It's mind boggling to think that for 30,000 COP, or around $ 7 USD you can get laid in Central, not including a room at a love motel which will set you back another $ 2-4 USD, so for talk were around $ 10 USD a pop out the door.

How many other places in the World can you get that, besides say India or Africa.

I believe that is bad advice. Most economists would say that in a low liquidity environment and the Fed trying to combat inflation, the dollar will continue to strengthen against most currencies.

I think it's more of a trust thing. If I've spent a lot of time with a girl it would give me a better idea if she has any diseases, or if she's the type of girl to withhold that information. I've never encountered any STIs so I don't know what to look for, but at least I can tell if she's healthy.

Regardless it was very poor judgement on my part.

At least she has a young, fresh body without a single spot or blemish. I don't know good the antiviral treatments are as a preventive measure but at least they help me sleep at night.

The exchange rate for COP to USD according to the VISA exchange rate has been over 4,100 COP the last few days.

This is the highest I've ever seen it, and a good time to hit the ATM's and stock up on Pesos if your in town.

That's Kate. In early Jan 2020 pre pandemic when I first met her she was 150 mil and taxi and gave great service. A prime example of gringo price inflation, she sees a lot of gringos now, including some that live in Medellin and fucks multiple customers a day, and wants 300 mil I hear and her service has fallen. You maybe grandfathered in at 250mil. If you want her, get her early in the day, as otherwise you could be getting sloppy seconds. Amazing rack though, and she could take a pounding, although lately she has been putting on a few extra pounds too.

Well I just had probably the best experience and worst experience I've ever had with a pro, but it was a very educating experience. I am a supporter of safe sex and I do not condone my actions in any way. There are at least 8 lessons that can be learned here.

I usually bring some toys from the US to use with the girls. They are expensive. Has anyone ever bought the toys in Medellin? Is the quality and price worth it to stop bringing them in and buying the locally? Thanks.

I've bought many toys in Medellin. Many are the same brands you will find in the US. Like everything, quality ranges. There is cheap crap and high end stuff as well. If you're just looking for the cheapest, you'll find the same low quality stuff as the cheap stuff in the US. If you're looking for top shelf, that's available too. Cost is about the same. I have a contact who has a store and delivers.
