The non-prepagos are what's puzzling me. One chica I know keeps referring to her boyfriend as "mi hermano" even though they sleep in the same bed and have sexy photos up together on her fb page. Even a Colombian guy I know keeps referring to his girlfriend as his sister even though his fb page is again full of sexy poses with her. And they're not using it as slang I tell you. They really want to make sure I think that their significant other is their sibling. I haven't tried to fuck any of these people so I don't get the point.

    What the fuck?
Is it any different than US girls who are sleeping with their "just a friend?

If she admits to having a novio, then she's taking herself off the market. If she admits to sleeping with her friends she's a puta. Remember, she may have family and friends who see her fb. Telling them she has a novio limits what she can do, or exposes her to criticism.

Every day one of my neighbors tells me "hasta luego" when they get off the elevator. Are they lying because they have no plans to see me later? It's a Colombian way of being polite.

What does it really matter? They are either going to come play with you, or not. Unless you're planning on marrying one and taking her back home, whether she has a boyfriend doesn't matter.

However, at least in those clubs at that time, tips and lapdances were the only things the dancers got paid for. The clubs here are brothels with a dance floor. How many are actually dancing well enough to make you want to tip?

If you feel like tipping, tip. The world won't end because you tipped a dozen 2 k notes. If you don't feel like tipping, don't. You won't be the first and you won't be the last.
    Right on brotha!

    Why sweat it? LOL.

I agree with that. I guess it is all perspective. It seems that Queens looks at it as dancing is the main attraction and is how the girls make their living. I look at it as the girls get to dance in order to advertise, hoping someone will choose to pay to fuck them later.

Hell in the brothels in Santo Domingo the girls come give you a lap dance and rub your hands all over their private parts one after another but money does not enter that equation. They do all of that shit to entice you to go to the room where they earn their money.

Another point against tipping in the Colombian brothel/strip clubs is that it is like pulling teeth trying to get the waiters to change your larger bills for 2000 peso bills. Many restaurants and the like that you go to, you can guage whether you are supposed to tip or not by the change you are given when you pay your bill. If your bill is 40 and you give 100 and your change is 3 20s, that tells you that it is not expected for a tip to be given.

Probably cheap charlies who expect to see pussy up close for the price of a beer they nurse for 4 hours. They exist everywhere.

And I'm not advocating throwing tips around to anybody with a hand out, but when it's deserved. I would never tip a bouncer at these places, which some guys do (because he let you in or because he calls you his amigo? LOL) but a chica who gets naked on stage deserves it.

Honestly, the only guys that I hear the "act like locals. " mantra from are guys who always follow that up with "locals don't tip".

Whether you think the chica is hot or not, or whether you liked her dancing ability, but she just got up on stage and danced. In my opinion, she deserves a tip. Seriously, if you don't agree, why do you even go? You must expect them to dance for free since I don't think they get paid anything other than the tips, drinks, and sessions.

Regarding Centro and Mayorista. Those are not places for gringos to be. It's scraping the bottom of the barrel. You will rarely find a gringo that isn't counting every peso. If you can afford a trip to Colombia, do you really want to look through a sea of 4-5's to find the occasional 7 while putting yourself in harm's way?

I have gone once on my first trip just to see what it was like but haven't been since and don't plan on ever going again, unless maybe some newbie asks me to show it to him once.

Today was a centro and late Mayorista day. Instead of finding new prospects, I spent the afternoon with my first "it" girl. Man that loving was good. The rest of the afternoon was spent recovering from all the running around. After taking care of some errands it was night time at centro. Most of my experiences have been at night so far. I tip my hat to the gentleman who gets 30 K sessions during the day. Remind me there are higher levels in this hobby and I thrive to be there one day. The latest I ever been out was at 3 am and there is no godly reason to do so. It is very dangerous at that hour and no gems are going to stick it out that late ever. I'd say midnight is the lastest you should be at centro and should be fully sober for safety reasons. I walked about the area in front of the white church, behind the church, and the two streets west of the strip clubs where most of the bars with the flashing multi color lights are. The two streets west of the strip club is the main area and it is really sketchy. A lot beggars and drugged up people walking around. The locals were having a good time though. They are not the most classy or well off locals but it is their city and their time to party. I was happy to see them enjoying themselves. Again no gringos in sight. And of course there are the girls. The selection topped off at 7 with a rare few 8's. The area in front and behind the church is even sketchier at night with the hint of grime. The only level 9 girl I ran into was going home early but I got her number though. If you do go to centro at night, please do not go any further than the last bar with the flashing lights in any direction, and never take the dark narrow side streets. I passed by those areas on my taxi ride back and I still wish I can un-see what I saw. It's just really a saddening and dangerous sight. I was quoted 65 k to 85 k with rooms per half an hour. In the end, I didn't find a girl I liked or worth the risk so to speak, and moved on to the strip clubs.

P.S. Any idea why this custom-made sign inside of the locker room in a hooker den in Brazil is in English and not Portuguese? Hint: Because Brazilians fucking know better! So there is no need to even suggest it in the local language. In that place even the cashiers ask foreigners for tips when they cash them out. Didn't used to be that way though.
You bring up an interesting point. Colombia, like many parts of the World, doesn't have much of a tipping culture. To the dismay of many, when us Norte Americanos show up en mass, the dynamics can and do change.

I also go to the centro for the thrill a bit. It's kind of fun looking for a gem and if you find one you can usually have a session back at your place for round 2. It's also much easier when you're done, you just pay and leave! I've had more than a few times in the past where I wanted a chic to leave my condo so I could sleep / work / fuck another girl and she wouldn't or would drag her feet. It sucked!
That's why I never understood why guys up-front offer a girl double the money to commit to all night. If you do short-time and get along well with her, I've found that frequently she'll be happy to stay with you the rest of the night for no extra fee. Of course, you may not get on well with her (maybe her pussy stinks), and you'll want her to leave! In which case you'll regret committing to TLN.
