I want to spend two weeks here, mongering hard and living nice. I did some rough, rough calculations, and I suspect I am due for about close to $4000 if I want to monger like a king and live like a king. Am I over-estimating my budget here? Do I really only need about $3000 to monger and live like a king for 2 weeks in Colombia? Thank you.

And I wish to go in July, so if any old pro's want to show a respectful newbie how to navigate naturally, I would much appreciate that!

Which king? There are guys who come through and spend double your budget for 1 night. There are guys who come through, spend less than half your budget, and fuck 30 women in 2 weeks.

What do you consider "living nice?" You can find comfortable, clean places for $20-$30 per night. I've been in a bunch of apartments and hotel rooms that guys claimed were the best, in their opinion. They ranged from "I wouldn't stay there" to "too expensive" in my opinion.

I know guys who have 3 or 4 girls every day when they are in Medellin. There are others who spend all their time with 1 girl. Some only want the girls off the street in El Centro, some only want models.

"Live like a king and monger like a king" doesn't give any idea of what you want to do, so it's ridiculous to try and tell you how much it will cost.

First, decide how much you are willing to spend. Don't forget to include airfare. Beware, ticket prices can change by hundreds over just a few days. Now how are you planning on eating? The restaurants fit for a king will run you $30-$50 meal, more if you're having more than 2 cocktails. At the other end of the scale you can get 3 meals of comida tipica for about $10 per day. My preference is a Colombian breakfast and lunch, then something else for dinner. Costs me less than 50 k COP per day unless I splurge on dinner.

Now that you have food and transportation, figure out your mongering desires. Be realistic. Some guys, without Viagra, are good for 3 pops per day. Some even with the blue pills are only good for 1. Keep in mind, you'll probably be adjusting to the altitude, so will tire easier. If you aren't an experienced monger, you'll probably be dealing with some anxiety. Reality probably won't match your expectations. At the bottom end you can spend 80-100 k for 2 sessions in El Centro per day, plus another 100-150 k for one of the casa or street girls to come to your place. At the high end you can spend 2 or 3 million COP daily. I recommend deciding how many girls per day you realistically want to see, decide whether you're going with El Centro quickies (50 k), Facebook or other online girls (150-250 k) or strictly models (300 k and up) and do the math.

Now you know how much you have left over for lodging. See what's available and then decide if you need to start over with a different plan.

Back to the girls. As has been stated many times there's no correlation between what you pay and what you get. I've had the same girl tell me that 250 k was her lowest price, then offer (on different days) 200 k, 150 k, 120 k and 60 k. I've had 50 k sessions that were great and 200 k sessions that were lousy. The key is doing your research, putting together a realistic plan and being prepared for the glitches.

Here's 1 possible scenario:

Get a room at Hotel Porton Medellin, about $800 for 2 weeks. Book for 2 and make sure any girls you want to bring to your room are dressed reasonably and have their cedula. Breakfast is included. Santa Fe and Oviedo malls are within walking distance for lunch, 12-15 k for the menu of the day, $80 for lunches. Dinner can be in a variety of places for about 50 k or $250 for all your dinners. Add in Viagra, condoms, taxis and some basic supplies and all your basic needs are met for under $1500. That leaves $100 daily for mongering, assuming a $4000 budget with $1000 airfare.

After lunch, take a taxi to El Centro. Visit a few casas until you find the right girl and spend 50 k. For the evening set up a date off of Facebook for 170-220 k. If you tip 10 k to the casa girl you can do 28 girls, eat well, stay in a nice hotel and keep it under $4000.

From all the mongers I met in Medellin, the ones who tried to do too much had the worst time. Those are the guys who feel the need to have 3 or 4 girls every day, while partying hard. The ones who just come relaxed, enjoy themselves and work in 1 or 2 girls a day seem to be happier.

Latin american cupid and colombian cupid. You will meet "normal" chicas but they likely are going to be looking for a foreigner if they are on those sites.

There are so many price discrepancies between posts, maps & websites, I'm hoping the experienced mongers can give us the current rates. I know there will be those that say RTFF but if we want newbies to pay fair prices and not overpay, this information should be readily available and easily accessible for everyone. The club names seem to change quite a bit too, so I put the addresses here also. Please feel free to correct any errors.

I tried to organize the list from safest options at the top (most expensive) to higher risk options at the bottom (least expensive) as well as location. Mansion & Loutron are in Poblado, Energy & Relax / Tantra by the stadium, #8 - 12 are all walking distance to each other in Centro in what looks to be a relatively safe area, #14 & 15 are right next door to each other with Conejitas a few blocks over, and street action is pretty close from there.

I know there are plenty more clubs not listed but these are the ones I have scouted and hope to visit, and this should give everyone a snapshot of prices.

LOL. A normal monger don't see that. But for anyone else, even if she has on decent clothes, one look at her shoes or her handbag and they will know that you are trying to pass off a hoodrat.

Bogota is cold AF at night.

That is my chief complaint about Bogota. And unless you are in a US chain hotel ain't no climate control in your room.

I love to quote myself. IN CENTRO, I mean really in centro, 1 block from Prado Metro Station, I recommend without hesitation the Motel Lafayette (pronounce "Lafajette" if you want to ask a taxi driver to take you there). Una chimba de hotel, as I heard my girl exlamating once we got in front of the big jacuzzi.

Many of the free lancers working in Veracruz have regular clothes / outfits that they can change into if you want to take them offsite to a more respectable hotel.

I will leave it to others to explain why bringing Veracruz girls to Laureles can be more bother than it's worth, including guest friendly lodging that can become unfriendly at the sight of certain guests. Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it works out.

Well that was my original question a few posts back, whether there are girl friendly hotels in Laureles that would allow girls to be brought back. It seems like you're implying there aren't.

My other question was whether there are significant differences between hobbying in Bogota vs Medellin. No one seems to be able to provide a response to that yet.

Nope. He's implying that it's not really a good idea to take Veracruz girls out of El Centro. I can think of a few reasons. Most aren't dressed for it. A girl friendly hotel in Laureles has different standards than one in El Centro. Also, many of the Veracruz girls have substance abuse issues. Best to leave them in their neighborhood. Then there's the risk of sticky fingers.

I was thinking about staying in a hotel that's about a 10 min walk from SF. Would are the girls be willing to go to a hotel of your choice if you're close by? I don't like the little short time motels that I expect to find in SF. (I know this question is more for the Bogota forums, but it's not as active as Med).

You got some feedback about Bogota vs. Medellin: Bogota is more populous and varied and it is colder than Medellin, especially at night. The guest policy for hotels in Laureles or anywhere else depends on the guest most of all. Veracruz girls have a certain look (check the youtube videos if you don't know what I mean) that sets off alarm bells even at some of the Centro hotels. Another member gave you the suggestion of using love hotels in Veracruz or elsewhere in Centro. They will accept Veracruz girls and then you can go back to Laureles and do whatever it is that has you convinced you must stay in Laureles. Enjoy and let us know how you make out.

Veracruz is not a reason to avoid or seek out Medellin. Bogota is cold AF at night. There is no shortage of girls in either city but they are very different cities.

Bogota: 10 million people / cool climate and moderately rainy / variety of women from all across the country / several different types of mongering venues at different price points from $15 USD-$200+USD spread across the city.

Medellin: 4 million people / spring like climate with microburst showers / homogeneous choice of women (mostly beautiful, but generally similar features)/ most mongering concentrated in El Centro casas with a few other venues spread across the city at price points from $25 USD-$150+USD..

IMO, Bogota's Santa Fe is head and shoulders above Vera Cruz in Medellin! In the Vera Cruz area, you can generally take a quick walk and see all the girls available and they are usually pretty horrible looking. Too old, too fat, or if attractive, too young. In contrast, in Santa Fe, you're talking about a good 4 square blocks of women both indoors (at night) and outdoors (night and day). Someone recently posted a count that one could find 250 working girls at any time of day or night in Santa Fe. The best thing is, there is a variety as the girls are from all over including Venezuela, and are mostly in the 7-10 range with many 10 bodies! Generally, the top girls in Vera Cruz will be 7's.

I walked Vera Cruz day and night for 5 days straight while I stayed at a Centro Hotel and these were my observations. I have mongered in Bogota on and off for 10 years but have only been hitting Santa Fe for about 2 years at least every 2-3 months. My next trip, I will actually be staying close to Santa Fe rather than in the North as I had been all these years. Santa Fe is a definite gold mine. Both areas are a bit dodgy as far as the characters who hang around, but I found that going to Santa Fe during the day to get my bearings made me feel more comfortable being there at night. One of the best venues in Santa Fe, Atunes, is a day hours spot, so that helps! Get there around 2 pm and you'll have a ball. You'll find you probably won't have the stamina for all the girls you want.
