Maybe that last guy a little bit stressed but I am confident he recovered. I am afraid you may have a slightly exaggerated since of self-importance. I know exactly how that feels, jaja.

Status quo around here, someone brings up a topic but then it takes on a life of its own, for better or worse. The original poster is often just a springboard, sort of like an inanimate carbon rod of Simpsons fame.

I often thrown in several fotos in my responses simply for the value of gratuitous sex.

As you can see here and now, I will flog a dead horse into dog meat. I am known for that and that won't change.

I'd have to say you still missed the point somewhat. List or not, as soon you as post you experience, and then the next guy goes "there" and finds the opposite, which I promise you will happen, all you have done is created an expectation followed by disappointment. All unhappiness is preceded by desire, according to Buddha. Things change in Colombia more often than most places I have been to in the world. But anyone who wants to post about whether or not their shower had hot water last night is free to do so, obviously.

Which brings me to my second point. A much more valuable attribute that will keep a mongerer happy in Medellin in general is not "complaining" or focusing on the "lack" of something that is normal for eighty percent of the population, but instead be flexible and adapt. Dare I suggest "accept" that hot water will not always be available and (gasp) re-condition your brain into thinking that this does not preclude having a good time. Be pleasantly surprised when you do get the hot water that appears to be so important to you and others.

With or without your permission, the board will Keep On Keepin' On. Try not to get electrocuted by a shower head and you should do fine. Jajaja.

....Actually, for those many Medellin BMs (who, unlike you, if I recall rightly from previous posts) regularly, or just from time-to-time, visit the lower-end casas, spas, clubs, and short-time, love hotels, the availability of hot water with their bargain-basement dalliance can be of legit interest--and a quite reasonable and diverting topic for a half-day or so of interchange on this thread. Speaking for myself, it had not occurred to me before reading a couple of the recent posts, that the use of electronic (often jerry-rigged) shower heads may explain why, in the same casa, one can find hot water in one room and not the next, or on one day, and not on the following. A little "Aha" moment of epiphany on an otherwise slow Sunday morning. And useful info to boot.

I am glad that this short thread may help someone (especially Newbies to MDE / Columbia) seeking Hot Water. And pleased someone felt it was of "legit interest--and a quite reasonable.... "

Seeing that we are on the subject of "hot showers". I was in a Love Motel in Centro today that actually had a rainfall showerhead in it with an external water heating system. I had my Chica shower first, and when she stepped out I asked if there was hot water. And she said yes, very hot, in fact to hot.

This may sound odd, but she didn't know how to adjust the temperature by turning on the cold water as well. Still may seem odd to some, but the majority of Colombians don't have hot water as has been noted here, let alone the heated shower head types being discussed here as well.

So my Chica did not know that she could adjust the water temperature, meaning instead of one valve to turn on the shower, meaning the water is either on or off, versus having both a hot and cold water valve to turn the water on and adjust the temperature.

It's one thing to have hot water, but imagine having it, and not knowing how to use it meaning adjusting the temperature.

What threw her for a curve was that there were two water valves, one hot and one cold, which she was not accustomed to.

Regardless, she figured it out though when showering afterwards getting all my jizz off of her.

Many years ago I was dating a chick in Costa Rica. I always stayed at her house. One morning I went to take a shower. The water was cold. I reached up and touched that thing and it shocked the shit out of me. I am pretty wary about touching those things with the water on these days. Adjust it to the winter setting before turning the water on and leave it alone. The less you open the water, the hotter it will be. That is if the shit is wired correctly.

First time I saw an electric shower head heater, well maybe you read my prior post. I would've just as soon reached out and put my hand inside an alligator's open mouth. As I have observed over the years here, you do not always come across as the sharpest crayon in the box, jjajajajajajajaa.

Just to show you that we are capable of doing stupid things (except yours was dangerous) I had my two antique sports cars hooked up to battery tenders or trickle chargers while I was in Medellin this past trip.

One I hooked up wrong, reverse polarity, positive to negative and negative to positive, and fried the battery. The only other apperent damage so far is that the digital clock no longer works, jajajaja. I hope that is the extent of the damage done there.

There's more. I forgot my other car was hooked up to the battery tender and pulled out of my garage. When I returned home I had a "WTF" moment when my extension cord was strewn all over the driveway, jajajaja. Fortunately, no harm done there. So we all do stupid things, some are stupider and more dangerous than others.

I contend your mind is warped. Not in a perverted way, but in a "I have lost touch with normal reality" way if half of what you claim on here is true. Even though you and I are nothing alike, I have been told the same thing many times, that I am living in a seperate world, jajajaja. I readily admit that when I am in Medellin, it feels like an alternate universe to me, compared to here in Pussy Prison.

Non-random gratuitous fotos: Nine different chicas from Ground Zero (except for one) who I picked up in real time and took to Love Motels. All were clean, happy, pretty, sexy, and good performers for FMV (Fair Market Value) of a little more than one peso per minute.

That is excellent advice about how to use the shower head electric water heaters. Never touch them while the shower is in use or the bathroom or shower floor is wet. They are generally safe if they are installed correctly and grounded.

The casas downtown may have these in some of the shower in some of the rooms and they work only some of the time. I don't bother fiddling with the controls if I'm in one as I often see bare wires and 220 volt connections.

They sell these mini-water heaters built into the shower head everywhere including on the shelves at Exito. They make a great gift, just remember they have to be wired to electricity which depending on your skill set you can do yourself or pay to have that done as part of the gift. I first saw one of these things in Pattaya, Thailand and it was a little disconcerting to step under one of these these things with bare wires showing and the water running, but I got used to it and nothing bad has ever happened, yet, jajaja.

A city with around 4 million people in area and you would like a list of places with hot water. Anyway. A suggestion is that if it is a hotel catering to tourists at all it probably has hot water, at least some of the time. As for other places you could not predict from one day to the next let alone have a reliable list.

Except for the higher end tourist areas where you could reasonably expect hot water, you would more or less assume your short-time love motels will not have hot water, and be happy when they do. Otherwise, ask before your longer reservations and don't freak out if and when you have to do without hot water at times.

I get it. Guys bring their own shower heads and want hot water. My Numero Uno Novia Catgirl loves extra hot showers when she came to my hotel, hotter than I like. Believe it or not, a surprising number of chicas shun the hot water and would laugh and try to hit me with cold water when we are in the shower together.

I am not trying to get anyone to change their personal preferences but sometimes a little adaptation goes a long way. There are many parallel examples when visiting a foreign country. Remember, that it is much more realistic and effective for the individual mongerer to adapt to their surroundings than it is to expect an entire country to adapt to your individual preferences. I see guys expend a lot of energy on the latter. They often get the desired results but time and energy, like money, is a finite resource for most of us. Is there a list of establishments with Showers with Hot Water?? (Short time / Airbnb / Hotels / Casas / Spas / Etc.)...........

A bizarrely, quixotic request to be sure, albeit one that I can personally relate to--as someone who religiously starts each day with a 10-15 minute hot shower (my substitute for meditation, yoga, and psychotherapy) and relishes a hot water dousing after sessioning with a chica. As Zeos1 suggests, tourist-oriented hotels reliably have hot water. Another simple (if clichéd) screening criteria--you generally get what you pay for. Any Medellin hotel / AirBnB over some minimal price (say $30 per night) can be counted on to have heated agua flowing from the taps. This criteria also (albeit a little less reliably) applies to clubs, casas, spas etc.

More practically, perhaps one of the long-term El Centro Rats among the board members can provide a short list of which among the more popular, bargain-basement mongering venues, (e.g. casas such as Zandalay? Amigas Sexy?; clubs--Barre Ejecutiva? Conejitos?; short term hotels--Premium Plaza? Hotel de Grieff?) dependably offer hot showers. Like AdamWl, whose post initiated this chain of comments, I've been pleasantly surprised on rare occasions by finding hot water in the most improbable of El Centro joints, but don't recall where. Such a list would be practical to compile and no doubt welcome by some (if not most) of us--with the exception of Osteo and the other advocates of paleo-hygiene.
