I'll never forget the hotel I always stay at in Bogota, one night I woke up feeling dehydrated and I wanted a soda or juice or something and I came down to the lobby and during the pandemic they always sold sodas for like 2 mil pesos and they had a little nevera with postobon products but by early 2022 they didn't have it anymore.

So anyways I told the night manager dude Sergio that I wanted to buy a soda and if he knew any place nearby that was open (it was 3 am). Then he called up some dude he knows that has a tienda and told him to bring me a jugo hit on his moto.

Then, I shit you not he pulls out this big ass fucking pistol that looks like a 9 mm or something and clocks it back and puts it on his waist under his belt and tells me "vamos a esperarlo afuera. ".

Then we went to go wait outside on Cra 13 and the dude pulled up on the moto like 10 mins later with a big ass jugo hit sabor de mora for like 5 mil pesos.

It's not unusual, especially not in places where monied Colombians hang out. The gun laws are pretty liberal here as long as you are a citizen.

I've only looked around Lleras Park due to high volume of ladies but is there another neighborhood / area you all recommend to stay in? Looking to maximize time and see as many ladies as possible with the intent to take some back to my hotel / Airbnb. Wasn't sure if there was another area or two I should look in besides around Lleras Park.

There was a wild shootout at the Milla de Oro last night about 7:30. I was outside the Starbucks when I heard 10 or so shots ring out before a bunch of people came running out of the mall entrance near the BMW dealer less than a minute later. I decided I had enough of Poblado and got an uber home. Two police cars with lights and sirens blaring flew past toward the mall as the uber took me away. News reports indicate a young guy with a gun tried to rob some people eating in the food court but the group was armed and opened up on the guy. The robber tried to run out of the mall but security guards shot him down.

I took a look at zero hedge, although I did not follow the shared link because I don't click random links. The site is advertising and opinion driven so I feel it's fair game for my opinion. I think it is reddit with ads and a neo con / greed / boomer slant. I think it scrapes the Internet for content and I question whether its owners have been to Latin America.

Here is an article on zero hedge about a bunch of dating app murders in Colombia. When mongering news makes it to a site like zero hedge, you know shit is getting real.

The stuff is all mixed up and is combining things about strip clubs, casas, and hotels. I clipped out most of the post for my response, but the first couple of suggestions show this clearly, La Isla and Fase Dos are strip clubs, Mansion is a hotel, and Barcelona is a casa I think. Not even sure about it. Parts about doormen and security are not at all clear, but nor are a lot of the posts that this summary is drawn from, so no surprise. For example, Airbnbs can be apartments in peoples homes, can be condominiums or apartments in various kinds of buildings, and may be merely how smaller hotels market themselves. So the facilities differ a lot, with some having condo type security, others having a homeowner with whatever security they may have, or it may be a hotel with whatever security the hotel may have. And whether they allow the guests you want to bring in, or not, varies independently of all of that. Anyway, a few thoughts.

But the summary is still interesting. I would hope it is not being absorbed into the app's database though.

Yeah it took a few cycles to see clear trends in the responses and it was a bit all over the place at times. I was hoping it would be even somewhat useful.

Regarding the database, I think the OpenAI training dataset would already include mostly everything on every major website online. Same with Google. So it's definitely too late to worry about that LOL.
