Has anyone stayed at Hotel Calle Real near the Veracruz church? Thinking about staying there in the near future.

I booked a room during the day; I stayed in another hotel at night. I was wary of roaches and noise; they have basic rooms with TV hot water and bathroom. Very welcoming at the reception. It is also in the middle of our favorite hobby. They allow visitors with a small fee.

I would suggest asking the hotel if there is a safe in the room. I don't stay in el Centro but I always require one wherever I go. I also bring my laptop with a lock. Girls are checked electronically for their IDs and I get a phone call when they leave from security as a check. Again, I don't stay in el Centro so things could and are different. Also, may sound silly but verify that the safe works. The only time I stayed in el Centro non of the safes worked and that was in a frequently recommended hotel.

No, it's not because of marriage or job. I just figured, I will have my primary as my safe zone where I can leave stuff safely and don't need to hide it when putas come over. I think two rooms in the same hotel or apartments would be convenient, but only down side is spending the same amount of money for the fuck pad. Yes, I know about the love motels, and have used a few, but they are all over the place. Some just check the girls cedula and they are cool, some didn't want to rent the room once they saw me, as I am a foreigner. Also, some don't let Venezuelans in.

I think the Centro hotel you are talking about is the premier plaza. It's balcony is right off ground zero. Never used it, but it has been talked about here.

You might not need to be too paranoid about it. If the girl is coming to your place and there is a portero and they take her cedula and record or copy the document (which is what they do at San Peter and Hotel Dorado) the girl is already aware that there is. Record of her presence and I've never heard of a drugging incident in either of these places.

The majority of the drugging incidents happen at a bar or an apartment without any security presence.

Another possibility if you are overly concerned is Thematic Luxury on Avenida 33 or Thematic Hotel on Calle 51. Those places check ID but when you go to your room they electronically lock the door. In order to get out, you have to call the desk, they check the mini-bar for any charges and then buzz the door open. If the guy doesn't call they won't open until they speak to him.

I can't tell from your question exactly what's going on, it almost sounds like you've got family or legit business in your primary room which means these two rooms must not cross. The reason I say that is because the best set up for mongering in both rooms is two rooms in the same hotel. One in the front, one in the back, different floors, different stairwells. The most common misconception is that you need different hotels and worse, far apart. The closer the better. But if you're at risk of end of marriage or end of job if you get caught then I would not recommend same hotel.

You know there are Love Motels, right? You usually pay for a block of time like 3 hours. I was in one yesterday in Bello. 30 mil COP for 3 hours. I know a great Love Motel within walking distance of El Centro that is clean, safe, secure, hot water, etc. It is caddy-corner off the left front corner of Simon Bolivar Parque but if you need the exact location PM me. There are a lot of short time motels in El Centro itself used by the putas but you should here from the El Centro Rat Gang on those, I'm not up to date on that. I was there today, but did not partake. I saw a short time hotel that is literally the closest one to the front of the Vera Cruz church, if you are facing the church, it's on the left, I can't remember the name but I have never heard it mentioned here, I think it was the "Real"? Anywho, it had more putas hanging out at the entrance and spilling down the stairs than any other hotel I saw there today, albeit it was a Sunday. Whatsapp really goes by the phone and partially by the number. You need the number to activate it, but after that it just goes by the phone. You can put a SIM with a different number in and out of that phone as many times as you want to, but the Whatsapp stays with the original number. It is not deactivated until you either put another SIM in and activate whatsapp with that number, or someone else gets a SIM for that number and they activate it on their phone.

With Line you just have to have your account (screen name and password) and activate it on a particular phone. No phone number is needed.

Of course you will have to have all of your data previously backed up on both platforms to see anything old.

They ask me to verify the number, but that is not possible, because they are sending a code via sms and the sim is inactive.

With Line I dropped the fone and shattered the screen and can't use it to sign in, the account wasn't backed up with an email address because I didn't know that was even an option or would be necessary.

I emailed them and they told me to "open a new acct".

You can register over the Internet. You do need a cedula or passport number but you don't have to show it to anybody.

Haven't partaken Venezuelans, because many of them don't have acceptable ID. I think most secure establishments only accept Cedula Extraa or Unexpired passport with entry stamp. Lot of venies don't have that. So a second location might come in handy, and also, I think is generally safer, as I can keep my stuff in the primary location.

If anyone does this strategy consistently, I would like to hear their thoughts, and how to optimize it.

A couple of things to ponder about all the Venezuelans in Centro and ID's. First off, your correct, there are lot's of them there without ID's whether it be Cedulas or a Passport. However this is not a concern for the locals, which have to be I'm guessing over 98% of their clients, and the locals don't fall under USA laws, meaning it being illegal for a USA citizen going with someone under 18 anywhere in the world which your aware of.

When I am in El Centro I see so many young girls working that I will not even get near them, albeit there fair game for the locals which is their client base versus foreigners.

The majority of the love hotels in El Centro do not check ID's. The exception though are the Hotels that are licensed to have foreigners overnight. So as an example, I have a friend here who has not been able to take a Venezuelan without an ID to the Premium Plaza because of their licensing, yet all of the girls working in Centro when they have no ID know of hotels that will let them in without it.

So getting back to what you want to do. Smart move to have a safe and secure primary place to have all your stuff. When you hit El Centro and you find someone you like with no ID, and feel comfortable that she is of legal age, she will be able to direct you where to go, albeit whether there is hot water you will have to ask. There are some real dives you don't want to go into, but all of the girls will know where to go or they wouldn't be out there working.

Another poster sent me a message about how I handle myself in El Centro when girls whether they be Colombians or Vennies don't have an ID. And as I mentioned, if they appear young I pass, albeit there are a lot of guys in El Centro that go with them, as these girls know where to go, but I will not. Obvious. I've always said a bad day in Medellin beats most good days in the USA and that held true today. I had to bail out of a car in El Centro with Secret and one of her "amigos" in the front.
