The reason I was laughing is you implanted a mental image in my brawn of a chica who is a pregnant, deaf-mute, glue-sniffer, jajaja. She is about 5'5", has dark hair slightly matted, dressed in a dirty T-shirt with short shorts undone at the top because she's 7 months pregnant. There are two types of white taxis for hire at the Airport. One is called a collectivo which is shared with other passengers going to wherever in the City and I have no idea how many different passengers they take or the cost, but unless your the first person being dropped off it make take awhile to get to your destination. .

In respect to colectivos, I think Surfer500 is mistaken in his post referenced above. To quote from the Medellin Guru piece:

"So, with four passengers the new colectivo taxi fare staring in 2021 using the new tunnel route is set at 27,000 pesos per person to Medellíand and 23,000 pesos per person for a trip to the airport. The shared taxis from the airport only go to and from the San Diego mall in Medellíand. You will need to catch another taxi to or from your location. Also, there are normally yellow taxis lined up here. So, it's easy to catch a taxi. " That was my experience the one time I took a colectivo my first visit here in 2018. Everyone got out at San Diego mall, but, instead of grabbing a taxi, I got my colectivo driver to take me on to Laureles for another 10 k or so. For the budget conscious, I think its a good option to the bus (they leave much more frequently--as soon as they have 4 or 5 passengers.

Another location which has been flourishing lately is in, and around the Parque Berrio Metro Station. There are a lot of girls now working at the bottom of the stairs. My theory is that the girls are working there in hoping of snagging a client before guys head down to ground zero where there are so many more girls working.

Regardless, for somebody coming here for the first time, if they can make it to the ground zero, there will be hundreds of girls available within a 1/4 mile radius during prime time which is basically between 4 and 6 PM in the afternoons with Sunday's and Holiday's being slow, albeit there will always be the hardcore Venezuelans out starting early in the morning.

For reference, I have a friend staying with me who was here about four years ago and cannot believe how it is now versus than, with the difference being that four years ago there were very few if any Venezuelans.

If I had to make an estimated guess of the proportion of street walker's there are in El Centro, I would guess that at least 2/3 rds of them are Venezuelans.

I'm curious what other's might estimate this number to be.

Yesterday I spent about two hours in El Centro and snagged a 21 year Colombian spinner who was new to the scene, or at least that what she said, I am in El Centro frequently and had never seen her before and was in the mood for a dinky little thing and chatted her up and she seemed kind of young and I asked if she had a Cedula, and upon entering the Premier Plaza they closely examined it, registered all her data and we were off to the races. Great time together and plan to repeat again with her on Thursday at 2 PM, but as is the case with a lot of the walkers in Centro they don't have phones, and many that do only have burner phones. This is one of the challenges of the Centro street scene, especially when you find one you want to put into the stable.

Best bet is to just pay the 80,000 COP and I'm typically at my place in less than 30 minutes and this fare is for Poblado. I don't know how much the fare is to Laureles, it may be the same. When you arrive at the airport, you will also see yellow taxis waiting for customers, and the price is the same as the white taxis, yet the white taxis are larger and more modern, hence I use them versus the yellow taxis.

Also, there will be guy's offering rides as well who are Uber drivers or other drivers which I won't use. I had a friend come down and I told him to only use the white taxis, and some guy approached him, said it would be 80,000, and then when getting in the car said it would be an additional 20,000 COP to use the tunnel to get to Poblado and he just paid it so that's another scam to avoid. As an alternative you can always take the City bus which runs I think every twenty minutes and I think is around 16,000 COP and will drop you off in El Centro within a block of Hotel Nutibarra and across the street from Hotel Deseos.

There will be a guy in charge of the white taxis.

For the ones on Budget there is also a bus from exit 2 who goes directly to san Diego mall for about 12 k and then you can Take a taxi to your hotel from there.

I do criticize the mistaken belief that all women are secure and confident with their appearance.

In my experience, and I have no idea if it rises to the level of a truism, the better looking the chica, meaning your 8's and up, the more insecure she is at the core. Usually not quickly evident, but when you get to those "real" moments one on one, they start obsessing on seemingly minor imperfections about themselves and comparisons to other chicas who they perceive as better looking. Not always. Recently Hot Housewife never showed any cracks in her veneer and she was about self confident as she should be. But I would call her the exception to the rule. I am definitely not above using their insecurity to my strategic advantage if it feels right, without being unduly cruel.
