Mil means thousands. All the notes have printed in large numbers on them either a 1, 2, 5, 10,20,50,100 (I haven't seen larger than a 100). You made me look at one of my 50's and it actually says right next to the 50 "mil pesos" meaning 50,000 COP. COP is the official three letter ISO 4217 international code which stands for Colombian peso, and has nothing to do with the Mexican peso. The United States dollar is USD. Million is written "millon".

Roughly, you can think of 100 mil COP like an USD 20, plus a skosh more, or about $25.76 USD. The exchange rate is high now.

Therefore, 50 mil COP = $12.97 USD.

In my example, 20 mil COP means 80% of my taxi rides are less than 5 bucks USD.

Using the dollar sign $ in front and USD after the number is not redundant as there are other countries that also use the $ sign for their currency, including Colombia, Argentina, Bahamas, Fiji, Singapore and more.

I hope that helps and that this post is error free. Yeah, that would be really bad if my erratum correction was also in error, but entirely possible as I routinely go two nights without sleep and I didn't sleep a wink last night, jeje.

Does anyone know how to find chicas that speak good English? I know many of the guys on here probably don't care but for me its a huge selling point and I haven't been able to find any in El centro or Parque Lleras that can hold a conversation in English.

Go to milerotics or photoprepagos and type in Ingles or English.

There are very few Chicas in Medellin that speak English, and highly unlikely you will find one in El Centro, I've only encountered a few in the past four years, but they weren't even close to fluent.

You might encounter one in Parque Lleras but highly unlikely.

What your facing, Chicas that speak English, well that's one of the major challenges of mongering in Colombia versus other Countries.

And for the guys with Spanish speaking skills, well they can do very well here.

Maybe another board member has some intel on this, but I highly doubt it.

Simplified is you want to own a website that leads guys to tour guides that show these guys around in Colombia to different ways to find sex. No matter how many layers you add it is human trafficking. You are a semi hidden electronic pimp. If you are an American citizen living in Iceland and running tours in Colombia you will be breaking laws in 3 countries. Iceland gets you first because that is where you physically are. You think your location is going to save you? What until IJM (International Justice Mission) gets a whiff of you. These religious lawyers are like a dog with a bone and never let go.

Social media influencers? Most of that stuff is for women, gays, and feeble ass guys. I doubt many semi self confident males watch any of that crap.

The Tall Man believes in you and he is here fulltime and loves to meet new foreigners. But talk is cheap. So let's test it and take it for a spin. Ask him to do the tours for you and see if he bites at the chance to be a part of your wonderful idea.

80% of taxi rides are under twenty mil COP here from Estadio-Laureles which is centrally located in the city.

I always give them a price and make it clear it includes taxi fare. I have had girls over inflate the price of a ride or not bring their cedula or bring a fake one and get caught.

Not my problem then.

Yes, there is a test site at the airport. I think it is open 24/7, but from what I hear, you should allow at least an hour to get tested and get the results.

I got a few times in Cartagena girls asking for money for the cab ride back home, and of course the cost they ask for is very inflated, I've never gotten that anywhere. Do you get that in Medellin?

I use All Trails app on my iphone when I was hiking in Parque Arvi. I would fire it up when I got off of the Gondola / Food Court and start it there so no matter what trails I went down I could always find my way back to the Gondola. It's pricey at $30 per year but having been lost a few times in the Colorado back county it's priceless.

I have done some trails at Parque Arvi. You must be careful, you can easily get lost there.

The Tall Man has hung out with The Don and we share a few girls in common. He is legit and as honest as the day is bright, a salt of the earth kind of guy.

He also has the means to do whatever he wants, go wherever he wants, his VIP parties are legendary and he has the street smarts to make a go at whatever he does yet not pretentious, a cool guy and we share some gringo and Colombian friends in common and never have heard a single snide remark about him.

You should see some of his chicas, top 10 that are completely out of my price point. What he can and does at times spend on his chicas in one night is my play budget for a week.

I'm sure he's a fabulous guy, yada, yada yada. However, as I've experienced and seen others experience, being a fabulous guy doesn't mean much when you the local tax authorities are intent on collecting their fair share.

He might be screwing the most beautiful women in the world, 4 or 5 of them a day, spending more money than I earn in a month, but when the taxman comes knocking that's not going to matter.

If someone posts an intention to do something I consider unwise or dangerous, I don't take the time to talk to everyone who has met him before responding. Because, who he's met (or what he's like) has nothing to do with my response.

"You're wearing $10,000 watch and $20,000 in jewelry and want to walk around Manrique, drunk at 2 am?" I don't care if you have perfect teeth and fight MMA. I don't care if you're really nice and are dating Miss Colombia and her twin sister. I don't care if your net worth is over $1 billion. I'm going to tell you it's not a good idea. Being a nice guy doesn't make you bulletproof.

If anyone is planning on starting a business, particularly one that employs people in another country, it's in their best interest to consult with someone with a knowledge of the local laws. Doesn't matter how great of a party they throw, or whether they can dance.

I am also Asian in my 40's. I have a hard time seeing how we can blend in well, I probably saw one other Asian in the week I was there. LOL.

You're correct, you will never blend in, yet since very few Colombians have actually seen an Asian in person, this will work to your advantage with the Chicas as they will be curious about you and if you have some game and speak some Spanish you can have a field day.
