Thank you for that, I had my terminology wrong, the "contrasena' term I got from Lucky Nuts post but going back and rereading that, he is saying this is what they get saying that they have applied for their Cedula the first time (most likely just after turning 18) the girl that came to my apartment had a cedula prior to that so she could not have had the "Contrasena".

Yeah thanks for the clarification on that Surfer. Now I remember running into a couple girls with an "anuncia" too. So the temp is called a contrasena when they first turn 18 and it's an anuncia after the cedula is lost and they are awaiting a replacement.

Just FYI for guys not aware only actual cedulas are acceptable to check-in chicas to most buildings that allow you to register Colombian chicas. Vennies are typically required to have a passport. El centro probably has different rules, I have no experience with the hotels there.

And some chicas will show up and try to use a picture of their cedula on their telephone lol. That is not usually acceptable either. When talking with facebook girls to visit I ask if they have their "cedula de plastico". It's amazing how many reply that no it's lost but they have this, that or the other thing.

When a Colombian loses their Cedula, they are not issued what your calling a "contrasena" but must file what is called an "anucia", basically a report issued by places that have access to Cedula data base and has the persons name, date of birth, and Cedula number. With a copy of this report some places will accept it as a form of ID. I know this from personal experience as one of my Chicas had lost her Cedula, we went and reported it, and with the report in hand, the Hotel we stayed at accepted it, albeit some places won't. I have never heard of the Colombian government issuing separate numbers for people with Cedulas. Perhaps the reference to contrasena is the actual Cedula number which would make more sense.

Very good point, no argument here. You're likely correct, in the grand scheme of things foreign mongers probably do not have much of an impact on a country's economy.

Mongers definitely stimulate the economy. For an instance, sex tourism represents roughly 10% of Thailand's GDP. Since SE Asia is back in lockdown, a lot of that money is flowing into Colombia. Prices are likely going up due to simple supply / demand economics.

I do not doubt that number of 10% , especially when you look at walking street in pattaya. I think we might be lucky that distance will keep a large number of those asian focused mongers away from Medellin. I can see some of the western Europeans visting Colombia but when I was there it seemed like to me, but it could have been just my perception, that the vast majority of mongers were Japanese, Chinese, and Russians, hopefully Colombia. I learned about Soi Cowboy from a Japanese guy who I set next to me on my leg from Tokyo to Bangkok, he was an mechanical engineer from Toyota who had just gotten a bonus for some project he just finished, he was a funny guy after he go a few sakis in him and started talking about the pretty girls at Soi Cowboy.

Anyway 20 hours is a long flight so hopefuly discouraging to most.

I spent 10 weeks in BKK in 2019 I would say most (99%) mongers seemed to be either from India, the Middle east, CCPland or Japan, I doubt they are flying to COL.

I spent 120 nites in the Philippines on a 1 night visa run from BKK in 2019, most mongers there it seemed are from Seoul (95+ %) and less than 5% from say the UK or Australia Deustchland.

Again I doubt most of them are flying to Col, as with everything there are always a few outliers.
