You can ask guys about #1 but I have been to one and a massage parlor and was not afraid at all. Hotel Haven is chica friendly as are Energy Living apartments on Airbnb but they were expensive and I did not like them.

If you like black chicks, Cartagena and Cali are the places to go, but I have seen one in a casa who was great in Medellin and I have one in Bogota who is fantastic.

For SA, a $100, which is the monthly subscription, can be a lot for pussy in Colombia. If you just want to fuck a 10, I suggest you go to a high end strip club. SA has a lot of working girls masquerading as normal women so you have to weed them out. The reason to use SA is that you want to meet more regular women and want to score a 9 (or 10 depending on your rating system) who is a "normal" girl. Some guys are getting bareback other places but I only got BBFS from SA. It is a lot more work. The author's a Colombian journalist who was invited by Escobar (back in 1983) to visit with him at the drug lord's Naples hacienda (the one populated by an exotic menagerie—both of African wildlife and of human oddities as well). This account of the visit wasn't published until some 20 years later.

As an aside: I don't know about you, but when visiting Medellin today, I find the phenomena of Narco-Tourism to be somehow both amusing and sad, at one and the same time.

1. Brothels are more commonly referred to as "casas. " Yes they tend to be safe to go to. It's difficult to maintain a successful business with a lot of dead bodies taking up all the available space, unless you own a cemetery.

I've seen other posters make note of this, but I have never seen this said within an Airbnb listing and I've actively looked. Is it typically under house rules? I just looked at 7 random listings and saw nothing of the sort. I'm not asking in order to be challenging or critical, but to the contrary. I'm headed down in a few weeks for a month long stay myself, and want to make sure I don't screw myself over by overlooking it.

It often doesn't say it, but the building or host does not allow guests. It is always important to ask the host before booking what their guest policy is.
