I then went to the one of the recommended pages to start "Diviniwomen Medellin" and began looking at profiles to find users that were active. I looked through about 25 profiles and then I tried to send the first friend request and FB shut me down.

I was planning on coming to Medellin for the first time this week but it didn't work out. I will have to wait until May or June now. I have read hundreds of pages of the forum in doing my research and I am thankful to all you regular posters for your insights. I will certainly be sharing my experiences when I am finally able to partake.

I figured out (and it was pointed out to me) that you don't have to friend request anyone. I opened FB with a browser and just bookmarked pages. I'm going keep adding to the list (thanks for the Diviwomen Medellin lead) and start messaging a week or two before my trip. May work, may not but I'll still have a great time no matter what.

Thanks for the message. I figured that part out last night and started bookmarking pages for when I'm closer to my arrival. The format of ISG doesn't allow editing or deleting posts. Sometimes you find what you're looking for after you post a question. Maybe the best thing is to stop asking questions.

One a related note. If anyone is going to reply to my messages, only do it if you feel like being polite.
