Good hotel choice Zona Rosa, it's my go to Hotel and the room you were in has a good view of the courtyard of the Veracruz Church. You were in my favorite room which I have probably been in at least 100 times over the last four years. I prefer this Hotel over Premier Plaza due to it's more obscure entrance. As far as the Vennie, what a piece of shit trying to upsell you and then ask for a propina. If she had had any brains she would of done what you requested and earned a tip. I know your Spanish skills are limited as you previously mentioned and it can be challenging not being able to interview and converse with the girls but don't despair you will find some nice girls. What I can tell you though is don't get to wrapped up in the lookers, they think their shit doesn't stink and typically give shitty service.

I agree to an extent. And initially this is what I thought as well since poblado is filled with tourists.

3 people I know got drugged. They were all in more local areas. None in poblado.

One that got drugged was at Farenheit. Which is known for after hours parties.

The friend who was robbed was in centro.

I think in Poblado the crooked cops are the main concern.

And while I do believe you can definitely get drugged and robbed in Poblado the presence of police at night makes it somewhat of a deterrent.

Maybe I am wrong with my assessment of crimes vs mongers in medellin. For me personally Poblado is clearly a safer area than centro.

So another BM told me he saw a few people lurking around Centro yesterday. Ok today let's go to centro. Deserted but still girls around operating at around 10% of what I saw on Friday. Had a good look around. 1 or 2 lookers, got a phone number. Picked up a venny, nice body, attitude not great. Damage 30 k, wanted an extra 10 k to jerk me off over her tits and then had the audacity to ask me for a tip, told her no. Room at Zona Rosa 12 k. Took a few pics from Zona Rosa, took pics of girls on the street but did not want to be too obvious with my phone. Interesting day.

As adults, especially in these days of Covid, we each need to be aware of our own appetite for risk as informed by the latest science and statistics, taking into account our respective ages and health--and should be philosophical about the consequences should we place a bad bet. As a geezer back here in hometown USA, after having risked one session with an Asian escort last fall, I've decided to abstain from our hobby until I can claim my place in the vaccine queue and return to Paisa-land. These drugging networks are pretty sophisticated and run by criminal gangs. They go where the fish are biting, which can include El Pablado and lower level middle class areas. They especially want to find people carrying credit cards so they can run up charges or hit ATMs. There's plenty of articles around about this.

I am not refuting the claim, but you mentioned truth and BS, the truth I know is there is no such report or maybe I miss it. Surfer and his friend were robbed in El Poblado at gun point. The other issue brought up by this poster which I posted a response to had really to do about, how guys roll, with the inference being that if you roll on the cheap in seedy area's, meaning El Centro, your more likely to get drugged and robbed, while the truth of the matter is which you have outlined is that it's the other way around. Unfortunately there are some who think how they roll is the right way to roll versus how others roll.

When I was in Medellin in November the status of the Pandemic was in a downward trend, and basically things were all open with no curfews, no pico / cedula, and few if any restrictions. When I visited I was a bit frightened about getting sick, and I was in El Centro taking girls upstairs and there were no " health protocols" of any kind, and of course I didn't go with anyone visibly sick, but it made me wonder about all the interaction the SW's have with different people, the dirtiness of the Love Motels, yet I took the risks and had a blast.

I'd rather be overcharged and have the free will to decline the offer rather than potentially get drugged by a girl in centro who can easily have her group of male friends nearby.

I have a lot of local guy friends in medellin and they tell me this is a thing.

The unit in my building where I stay would easily cost 300 usd per night in a nice hotel in the US.
