Self check-in does not mean there is not a doorman. There may be an electronic lock or lockbox at the door, but a doorman at the front desk. Still, a doorman is not your personal security guard or problem solver the way most mongers tend to see them.

Don't worry about staying too close to Parque Lleras, staying a few streets up or down is fine.

What you need to look for are whole apartments that do "self check in". These are typically the most guest friendly. The flipside of this is that you are taking the responsibility yourself that you're not letting anyone underage in. I'm generally of the age where I'm not picking up girls off the street whilst drunk these days and I've 300+ chicas on my latino facebook so it's easily a manageable risk.

The ones that are renting out a room aren't going to be guest friendly as they're living there.

Another thing I look for are separate hot and cold taps in the shower, this is a sign they've installed a central hot water system, ergo are targeting foreigners who like hot showers (Colombians typically prefer cold ones, hence a lot of places have the "suicide" style electric overhead heaters that don't work very well).

What an adventure that was. I love this place and can't wait to go back.

After reading 60+ pages of this website I thought I had the right information gathered but it kinda all collapsed when I got there.

So I traveled to cartagena before and I had a quick trip over to medellin. It was only a couple days long so I had to pack in a lot.

Before you read this you need to know a couple of important things. If you don't agree with these things you may not find my information valuable.

- My type is the silicone tits and ass. I don't mind them in fact I prefer huge tits. The face has to be pretty naturally and can't be altered too much.

- ratings of type of girl is very subjective!

- I'm actually in that group that prefer to wine and dine a girl. I like to spend time with them and enjoy their company.

- I love club atmosphere of the hunt. In cartagena dolce was what I loved. Dancing grinding then negotiating was so fun.

Thursday.

I got in and just had to settle. Waited for my friend to arrive and got some dinner and walked around the park. He got a couple numbers of girls he thought were pretty and just started to negotiate on what's app with them.

10 pm hits and I want to go to gusto while my friend looks at pasionprepago.

I know that ALLL the recent reviews told me not to go to gustos. They said its way overpriced and not worth it at all.

I walk in and its pretty dead. Maybe 12 girls sitting quietly and I sit on the ledge and immediately talk to this girl who is liek a 6/10 she's nice but not my type. I only have a few days so I have to be very picky. Friend joins in at 11 pm and I turn around and BAM this place is PACKED. We walk around and there are at least a handful of a 8/10 to 10/10 girls. I am ESTATIC. At 12 pm this place is like 10-1 girls and guys and the club is great. We started to get some price negotiations and girls were not dropping below 200-250 for the whole night. This may have been expensive but the one I wanted was super hot. I made sure to negotiate amoutn of pops and when she would be leaving in the morning (5 am).

So honestly. I disagree with a lot of the comments about this place on Thursday. I loved it. Yeah price might be high but the mood is awesome and the pool is great.

- this girl was smoking, she almost forgot her ID but found it later. I popped immediately with her then 2 more times into the night. The only annoying thing was after each pop she asked if I wanted to go to sleep alone (I was kinda sleepy) but I kept saying no. Otherwise when we got into it she was an amazing actress. She ended up leaving at 4 am instead of 5 but I was ok as I was too drained. DATY, CBJ, covered FS, french K, all included.

Friday Morning.

- we did random touristy shit and got back a bit later then I wanted.

- so we headed to loutrons around 7 pm. I read a bunch of the reviews here on this website stating that girls are only 3 -4 . But there were 10 girls here at least when we went and a bunch of th tables were filled. 430 k cop and the girl I had was SMOKING sofia and my friend also chose 10/10 ori. Both so hot. - get in the cab and I heard of another place called la lunela so I tell the cab driver to take us there. He says the girls are nice there but la isla is better. I ask him how fase dos is in comparison and he says fase dose is way better than la lunela, plus la lunela neighborhood is bad at this time. So we turn right around and go to fase dos.

- same shit here. A bunch of a open tables, and expensive beer. No place the sit plus the girls here were MID at best. We stood there for 3 songs and left.

- maybe I had a weird experience but the talk of these strip clubs is so weird to me. We really hated it.

BACK TO GUSTOS.

The craziest thing is they even left ALONE. Wtf. We were baffled. Same thing happend with a bunch of other ugly chicks. Uhh maybe this is what this website was referring to. My friend ended up grabbing a girl who agreed to $300 all night till 6 am. So he did get lucky. She wasnt the prettiest but she was down to haggle.

- yo wtf. These ugly girls on the streets still wanted $200 USD PER HOUR. Like all of them. They werent even good looking. Tbh I might have been able to negotiate but I was so baffled I just walked away instead of counter offering.

- facebook has not been working for me at all. Some of the girls I friended to the girls I found at gustos were so ugly. Bleh. And also I never knew if all their pics were airbrushed. At least at the clubs or streets I saw them and could decide.

- but I found this one girl who owned her own business. Was talking to her before our trip for some help. Randomly she posts this risque picture of her on her business site. Hmmm I shoot my shot. Ask if she escorts. She quotes me 190 k COP per hour DAMN but she's not available Friday night at all she gets in late. I ask can you come 9 am? She agrees. BINGO.

- trying to fall asleep with a hard on is so awful but I force myself to.

Saturday morning.

- I wake up so tensed ready to go at 8 am. I ask if she can come earlier and she says no. Fck. I pace around get some drinks, ask if she wants to smoke, she says yes.

Not really. The one I had problems with is skinny where her cheeks go inward (think glue sniffer / druggie). Does not smile much. Darker rings around her eyes from lack of sleep which is noticeable. The other one has no features that stick out. Sorry.

Good advice. Safe to say any foreigner that engages in our behavior has some level of risk. And I don't take extra solace with a Colombiana versus a Vennie. That said, I'm not changing my process. I do think that maybe girls standing outside in Lleras are an increased risk and I'll avoid them. I'm sure some will flame me for some of this, but I'll tell you my main precautions that have saved me more than once.

1. Hotel. I stayed at an Airbnb once in Medellin. That was my first trip. Even that had a front desk of sorts. Who doesn't want the convenience of not having a doorman or front desk being nosy? But, in reality, it's a necessary evil.

2. Doorman / security guard. Treat them well. I frequent many of the same clubs when I visit. I'm by no means a regular. But I will tip them. Nothing exorbitant. I tip them maybe 10 k per night. I promise you that has paid off for me. They remember me every time. Twice the security downstairs at Gusto saved my ass. Once with a girl that was bad news and once when I partied a little too hard. The doormen at some smaller clubs are even more important. And though not in MDE, two doormen at my hotel in Rio saved my ass. I was zoned out, not using basic precautions. 4 guys were coming at me, just 30 feet from the front door. The doormen ran over to me yelling about my phone and the four guys ran off the other way. It's not even about tips or money. If you treat them well, engage them and let them know you appreciate them, they are an important extra set of eyes that know the lay of the land far better than you will.

3. Trust your gut. I'm not a guy that picks a girl, goes right to negotiations and out the door in minutes. Though I don't do it for safety reasons, I think my process has helped to reduce my risk. I want to know the girl. I trust my gut and I want a session where there is something more than a transaction. Is it fool-proof? No. But I trust my instincts to know if something is off with a girl. If nothing else, a conversation and time spent doesn't make you the easiest target in the room.

Just my two cents. It's worked for me for many years now that have gone by without any significant incidents.

You're tipping method to door men / security guards is not a bad idea. By no means shower them with endless pesos but from what I've been reading and watching, the currency exchange is in our favor so establishing some insurance is never a bad idea.

Again, very unfortunate to the lives lost doing this hobby in Medellin but we as a community just have to continue to give helpful advice and hope other listen. You can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink.

What you noticed is the time investment facebook sourcing requires. It's a good fit for guys who have time to kill back home between trips. Its usefulness is very limited if you fire it up after you arrive in Colombia. It takes weeks or more to prime the pump. I see this glossed over in a lot of the facebook content on this site. It's not a bad thing but you don't want to discover it after the clock starts ticking until you have to go back home.

I would agree. Like many guys, I have time between trips to send friend requests and chat with girls on FB. I find it fun actually so it's not a big deal for me. I always have time to chat with young attractive girls when I am back home. But if you wait until you are actually in Medellin to start chatting with girls on FB, you will discover that some girls may not respond to you very quickly or your message may get lost among the hundreds of messages that other guys are sending her. So it is best to chat with a girl prior to your trip, and establish a connection and just let her know when you will be coming to Medellin and she will respond to your message when you are in Medellin. You don't need to set up a date before you arrive. You just need to get her to know her a bit before you arrive, and it is more likely that she will see you during your trip.

Girls trying to sell content or asking for money is just part of the game, not a big deal because you can just say no. They are doing that because you are not in Medellin. I know a lot of guys just move from them but when you actually in Medelllin and ready to go, some of the same girls are willing to have sex with you for money so I am not so quick to dismiss these girls.

But yes it is a numbers game and when you come to Medellin for a week, you do need to have a number of possibilities so when a girl doesn't respond, you have Plan be and Plan see for that day.

Just block the content bitxhes they're a waste of bandwidth. It's not hard to find the real ones that want to actually make money.

This was my second time in Medellin. First was Nov. 2019 a little before the pandemic. First time I stayed in a hotel and spoke very little spanish. This time I stayed in an air bnb and have intermediate level spanish. Both times I stayed near Estadio, which I prefer to Poblado. Anyway, since I wasn't allowed guests at my hotel and had no spanish speaking ability 4 years ago, every day I would go to a casa or massage place in the day, and then Conejitas or Barra Ejecutiva at night. I went to the casas and strip clubs again this year. Still had a lot of fun, but there weren't any smoking hot 18-19 year old hardbodies there anymore. Prices up moderately. Luckily, I am not picky and still enjoyed myself very much. I walked around Plaza Botero in the day looking for sw there. I still couldn't get the nerve to pull the trigger on a sw in El Centro. Probably my loss, just need a little more nerve. But I figured for nearly the same cost I could just see a girl at New Life and it would be a lot safer.

This year I built up a stable of FB girls. Spent about 6 months or so building it up. Got about 300 friends. Since I don't use FB on my cell in order to keep it separate from all my contacts, I had to get Whats App numbers before heading down for my trip. Got about 10 numbers. First girl I saw was a real winner. I halfway wifed up with her for the rest of the trip. Saw her half the days I was there. The moment you open your mouth they will know you aren't from here. The best advise is to RTFF stay alert and be aware at all times. Bringing unknown women back to your place is also a big no (especially if she is Venezuelan and / or more than one at a time).
