Do you think the Workers in the restaurant poisoned his food or did 1 of the 2 women poison his food? Also this story of the woman "oh look my friend is here can she join us?" that seems to be where the danger started. Don't allow any unexpected guests to join the party late.

I guess the teaching here is never go out with strangers to a restaurant. If you're going to meet a girl from seeking forget about drinks and food.

Don't date girls without reputation. Some of the girls in Columbia do have threads just look in the local forum Don Colombia. Also there has to be some accountability some guys think asking for her ID is silly but is It really silly? Get as much info as you can before hand her pictures her social media profile video real name ID. If you collect all this data it will be harder to become a victim and the thief will go look for someone easier to rob.

If One has an account with savings, then block the card. If They are savings why do you need a card that facilitates withdrawing the money?completely unnecessary. Only the account with everyday money should have a card.

How to be safe? What do you suggest?

A couple of rules.

1) Never take a girl in your place unless she is someone you really know her for long.

2) If you have your savings in a Colombian bank account (which is stupid) open an account deposit 400 US $ and always use this debit when you go out at night. In the worst scenario you 'll loose 400 US $.

3) I have never been drugged with scopolamine and I do not know if someone can do something with his will or not. In case he can then I would carry an iv drug with me. In a matter of minutes scopolamine's effects will disappear.

I have always made an explicit distinction on this site between chicks that are hookers and chicks that are not hookers. I do not pay chicks that are not hookers.

There was not anything I would call wining and dining. We WALKED to Benito Juarez for Mexican. We went to Las Flores where there are tons of seafood restaurants that many working class people go to at lunchtime. We went to the salon where I always get my nails done. I heard that in Medellin they have gone to Dry Law on weekends which means no liquor to be sold during weekends? I also heard there was a 12 am curfew in effect placed by the govt.

Can anyone there confirm this? If so, that would suck if it were long term. I was planning to go soon.

You need to complete the same on-line form to exit as you did to enter. Obviously you are providing information on your out-going flight and destination. I had to upload my PCR test again.

The first time I went to Medellin in September, I did not do this, but the immigration officer kindly did it for me. I imagine there were more than a few people who did not do this and it probably backed up the immigration lines since. As such, my second trip a week ago, Spirit was checking that you had the form completed before they would let you get in line to check-in. I noticed that it was mostly Colombians who had not completed the form in advance. This time I was prepared.

Couple questions for the forum. 1. Has anyone been successful in using a BinaxNOW rapid test as sufficient evidence that you're covid free or are they hard up on the PCR? And 2. Do you need some sort of exit immigration for you need to fill out in order to leave the country? Thanks.

PCR dude. It is very clear and simple what they want.

I filled that same form out online but put exit. I don't think it was needed though because nobody said anything about it to me when I was leaving Colombia as they did when I was heading there.

1. The requirement specifically states a PCR test. You might be able to get through with the BinaxNOW test. Or you might get off the plane in Medellin and get sent out on the next flight. Would that outcome be acceptable to you?

2. Unless my memory is messing with me, you have to check through Immigration before you leave. It's just a quick formality, only takes a few minutes depending on how long the line is.

I guess we can all learn from this, but this seem to becoming a more regular occurrence in Colombia.

Not really becoming more regular. It's been happening for years, but many guys don't report it, along with the other scams and robberies. There's a bit of embarrassment after you've fallen victim to something like this.

Here's something everyone should learn from that:

You aren't that good looking.

Colombian women aren't typically extremely forward. They'll smile at you and if you approach them, they'll talk to you, but it's not common for a woman to approach you. Even the prostitutes tend to be more reserved. Chances are slim that any Colombian woman is going to approach you. If one does, the best you can hope for is that she's a hooker who is getting desperate.

I am sure this attributed to the results which was actually 1%. I do noticed an influx of foreigners during my 2 mile daily walk. Flyers be aware. Pattern of flights being cancelled and you have to hastily reschedule..

Pehaps you can share with us which airlines / routes are being cancelled that your aware of and why the flights are being cancelled. Is it one specific carrier, or all of them.

I'm assuming you have been affected by this, or know somebody who has, hence this would be good information to share for others with flights already scheduled.
