Copa is obviously having cash flow problems and is holding on to any cash they get through selling tickets for flights that don't exist.

Maybe they read ISG and they know that there is people around, who is so eager to fly to Colombia that cannot resist even few more weeks without jumping there.

I hope they get their shit together as I have hundreds of thousands of COPA miles stored up.

I have more than one million Awards Miles patiently stored with Air France/KLM, planned to be spent exclusively on upgrades. Call me communist, but rather than seeing AF/KLM failing to bankrupt and disappearing, I pray for and I am confident in a strong support from State Public Finances.
I also have enough XP points stored to be Platinum For Life even if I stop flying. I need my airline to enjoy Platinum lifetime gosh!

Another flight cancelled by copa.

Another flight cancelled by copa.

Something strange is going on with Copa's website. I am booked for a flight from Orlando to Medellin on Oct 16. Earlier today, they showed no flights available until Oct 23. Now they show a flight on the 16th and the 19th, but only one seat available each day. I looked at seat selection on the 16th and there are sections of the plane with all the seats available. The flight from PTY to MDE on the 16th is more than half filled. I tried calling them tonight before they closed. The recording said there is a minimum 30 minutes delay to speak to someone. I looked at "Manage your booking" and everything is normal with the flight. In "Upcoming available flights" it shows the next scheduled flight from Orlando to Medellin is Oct 27. I will try to call tomorrow after they open to see what they tell me. I really don't want to fly Spirit, but that is the only airline flying from Orlando with one stop. Others take more than 20 hours because of multiple stops.

The address of the place I believe is 34 a-15 around by 80. I enjoyed it before covid protocol. Cheap and good performances. But Covid safety measures made me not go there anymore. I called Copa this morning. Was on hold for 35 minutes. The agent told me my flight on the 16th is still scheduled. I asked about their website stating that the next scheduled flight is Oct 27, and he said maybe all the prior flights are completely booked. I then called my credit card company because I had made the reservation through them. They use Expedia Travel. The agent told me the flight still showed normal operation. He said he also looked at the system travel agents have with the airlines and it shows the flight still scheduled. Probably I will find out next week that the flight is cancelled. My experience with COPA had been very good for the past 10 years. Took more flights from LAX to both Bogota and Medellin than I can count also to / from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Brazil and of course Panama. I would not fly or even try any other airline but now the website, which use to be almost effortless to schedule and purchase a flight, is crap and their timeliness / cancelled flights is problematic.

I did have a flight scheduled for this past April back to LAX for some business concerns which was obviously cancelled and was issued an e-mail voucher for a future flight however I will not return to LAX for just about any reason now as I resolved my business issues.

I hope they get their shit together as I have hundreds of thousands of COPA miles stored up.

Interesting I have a flight from Panama City to Medellin on the 14th which I may be cancelling, and I have the COPA App on my phone and just checked it and everything is a go. I think the reason my flight hasn't been cancelled is because it's only the second flight into Medellin from PTY with the first one on the 12th. They sent me a million E mails three weeks ago announcing this.

Maybe the flights for the next week are empty. That's a fucked up deal for anyone flying to Panama City on another airline. I have a COPA flight from LAX to PTY with the connection to MDE so I'm sure they would of contacted me by now if they were going to cancel the the second leg of the trip but to play it safe I will check. I'm not aware of any other carriers out of PTY to MDE as that is solely COPA's route I believe, but could be wrong maybe LATAM has flights?

So I log into my account with COPA and type in my Confirmation number for my flight on the 14th and guess what, there's no flight. I then check my mileage account and at least the bastards put the 35,000 miles I used back into my account so hopefully I will get my $ 26 in tax paid back. So then I check on Kayak for that date and future dates and no more COPA, however the good news is that now I can fly JETBLUE from LAX thru Florida and they have flights that leave at 9:30 PM arriving in Medellin at 9:30 AM so actually better than COPA but no business class. So I'm bummed out but will go in a few weeks.

The bastards didn't even send an E mail, and if it wasn't for the other posters I may have gotten the COVID test and then subsequently find out afterwards it was a no go.
