I would have had a different conversation with my credit card company.

I called Copa this morning. Was on hold for 35 minutes. The agent told me my flight on the 16th is still scheduled. I asked about their website stating that the next scheduled flight is Oct 27, and he said maybe all the prior flights are completely booked. I then called my credit card company because I had made the reservation through them. They use Expedia Travel. The agent told me the flight still showed normal operation. He said he also looked at the system travel agents have with the airlines and it shows the flight still scheduled. Probably I will find out next week that the flight is cancelled. Copa is obviously having cash flow problems and is holding on to any cash they get through selling tickets for flights that don't exist. Even the Expedia agent said Copa was very slow processing refunds.

Something strange is going on with Copa's website. I am booked for a flight from Orlando to Medellin on Oct 16. Earlier today, they showed no flights available until Oct 23. Now they show a flight on the 16th and the 19th, but only one seat available each day. I looked at seat selection on the 16th and there are sections of the plane with all the seats available. The flight from PTY to MDE on the 16th is more than half filled. I tried calling them tonight before they closed. The recording said there is a minimum 30 minutes delay to speak to someone. I looked at "Manage your booking" and everything is normal with the flight. In "Upcoming available flights" it shows the next scheduled flight from Orlando to Medellin is Oct 27. I will try to call tomorrow after they open to see what they tell me. I really don't want to fly Spirit, but that is the only airline flying from Orlando with one stop. Others take more than 20 hours because of multiple stops.

My experience with COPA had been very good for the past 10 years. Took more flights from LAX to both Bogota and Medellin than I can count also to / from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Brazil and of course Panama. I would not fly or even try any other airline but now the website, which use to be almost effortless to schedule and purchase a flight, is crap and their timeliness / cancelled flights is problematic.

I did have a flight scheduled for this past April back to LAX for some business concerns which was obviously cancelled and was issued an e-mail voucher for a future flight however I will not return to LAX for just about any reason now as I resolved my business issues.

I hope they get their shit together as I have hundreds of thousands of COPA miles stored up.

I went to the Eros spa / casa yesterday. I'm was a bit disappointed by the experience. I had been in communication with the "manager" of the place through whatsapp. He had sent me a bunch of pictures of the girls working there. They looked fantastic. Its been a while since mr willie's had any action and I was excited. I asked for only the girls without any kids. I'd rather not risk any baby damage or stretchy tits if I don't have to. I just spouted out the first name that came to mind: Violeta. After a few minutes of waiting for a response from the manager, the doorman got off the phone and said its apartment 501 and let me in.

I could here music while still in the elevator. I got to the 5th floor, a door immediately to the left opened and 5 girls emerged on their way out. They were heading to the floor below for some reason. I think the spa may be split between several different floors.

I can't remember if any of the girls coming out has masks, but the next girl came that come out greeted me and wore a mask. She sprayed my hands with some kind of disinfectant and sprayed my shoes as well. I don't really understand the shoe spraying. The spray didn't even cover my entire shoes. It seemed to only matter that she at least hit both shoes.

Maybe I need to call them and complain on everyone's behalf. I think the reason my flight hasn't been cancelled is because it's only the second flight into Medellin from PTY with the first one on the 12th. They sent me a million E mails three weeks ago announcing this.

Maybe the flights for the next week are empty. That's a fucked up deal for anyone flying to Panama City on another airline. I have a COPA flight from LAX to PTY with the connection to MDE so I'm sure they would of contacted me by now if they were going to cancel the the second leg of the trip but to play it safe I will check. I'm not aware of any other carriers out of PTY to MDE as that is solely COPA's route I believe, but could be wrong maybe LATAM has flights?

So I log into my account with COPA and type in my Confirmation number for my flight on the 14th and guess what, there's no flight. I then check my mileage account and at least the bastards put the 35,000 miles I used back into my account so hopefully I will get my $ 26 in tax paid back. So then I check on Kayak for that date and future dates and no more COPA, however the good news is that now I can fly JETBLUE from LAX thru Florida and they have flights that leave at 9:30 PM arriving in Medellin at 9:30 AM so actually better than COPA but no business class. So I'm bummed out but will go in a few weeks.

The bastards didn't even send an E mail, and if it wasn't for the other posters I may have gotten the COVID test and then subsequently find out afterwards it was a no go.

I wonder if they would have ever sent me notice? And if so, would it have been too late to re-schedule on another airline.

I do not think it is an issue with the airport, as they offered to re-book me on the same flights two days later, but I can't do it.

FYI. F'in Copa cancelled my 10/21 flight and did not notify me. I learned today that my ex-wife's mother's flight from Bogota to Orlando on 10/14 had been cancelled. So I decided I should investigate my flight from Orlando to MDE on 10/21. After 30 minutes on hold, the lady confirmed that my flight had been cancelled and that I could re-book for 10/23 (which I could not due). No e-mail notification. So good things I was proactive and checked. Booked myself on Spirit out of Orlando through FLL.

So. Warning. If you have reservations to go to MDE on Copa, you might want to confirm.

At this point I have three cancelled reservations on Copa (one for SJO and two for MDE). I hope I can use them in 2021. It's too bad. I like Copa. I like that they give you food on the flight. I like that they do not charge your for bags. I like their customer service people. But I hate all of the cancellation (although some not their fault) and the LACK of notification of cancelation.
