In other words the Country may be open to other Countries but not anyone from the USA unless everyone is tested etc.
So if somebody buys a ticket now for a future date, and even if they get the insurance, they might get their flight monies back, but what about the insurance premium.
Unfortunately there are too many unknowns and some Countries are being very cautious, Argentina just announced it's closing it's borders until September, albeit Countries in Europe and Asia are open but some with tight restrictions which I suspect is the way Colombia will go, but nobody knows.
The other thing to consider is that once you pay for a ticket the airline has your cash and if they cancel they will stick you with a credit, but you can get a refund, but you will probably have to file a complaint with the DOT which a friend of mine had to do to get his refund from COPA.
So I suggest people should just wait, and believe the first flights back to Medellin will be on Spirit and American, the reason I say this is because they are being bailed out by the US government whereas COPA and AVIANCA have not been given any financial assistance.
If AVIANCA goes belly up it, it will be quite sad, as it is a Company that has been in existence for over 100 years and I believe the only international carrier for the Country. I hope the Colombian government can help them out somehow.

It seems like Copa and Avianca may be in trouble in the near future: https://finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/ne...161216415.html.
I had a trip to Medellin on Copa for April and got credit for a future flight. But this is something to consider for people booking flights now or with travel credits. I'd hope the Panamian government bails out Copa given their local importance but if they suddenly go bankrupt you can lose your trip or be stranded mid trip. Any this is something to keep an eye on in these interesting times and definitely get insurance on your upcoming trips.

The only thing that makes it emotional in these cases is when girls start out and guys fill them with the bullshit of loving them and going to whisk them away and take care of them. They soon realize that it is just talk and stop believing the shit. You know how many chicks I have seen with tattoos of some guy's name? It is because when they first get into the business they believe the shit some guy talked to them. The only dreams tied to the emotions, as I said, are the dreams that tricks try to sell to them. But there is nothing emotional about a dick simply going inside of them.
What guy dreams of being a garbage man or ditch digger when he gets older? Occupational dreams have nothing to do with nothing. You CHOOSE your occupation no matter what you had dreams of when you were younger. You were not forced into working at the post office. Nobody came to your house and snatched you in the night and said you have to work at the post office. If that happened THEN it would make it an emotional thing for you. But when your ass went down there to fill out the application, begged for the job, and continue to show up day after day, ain't shit emotional about that.

Posts: 284I always find the Botero area on Sundays very sad.
While a few bars on the back streets are open Sunday afternoons, there are only few customers.
Often you see a few 40-60 y / o pros drinking alone, staring into space and crying.
I always wonder what they are thinking of- perhaps their hard life, betrayals by others, etc.
Usually I avoid Centro on Sundays.

I really don't have the time or energy to play the game, day in and day out. Without the 11th hour option of going to a casa, strip club, Lleras, Gustos, etc. , I just can't do it. I'm no longer in vacation mode. That ended weeks ago. She's chill, and is good at picking her spots of when to leave me alone or when to distract me.
Pinky is a gem, but she's so shy (timido, as she said).
I forgot to mention a VERY important stipulation: wifey will leave 1 day a week to go grocery shopping for her family, clean the house, check in, etc.
So, let's hope Pinky is available on whatever day that ends up being. I also forgot to mention last time Pinky came was for a few hours, and I gave her 100 k, no mention of anything. Next time, I'm dipping my toes in the Blakman pool, and going below triple-digits!
Blakman, any idea when you're planning to head home? I'd be down to give you Pinky's contact info, but fuck, I don't give her snacks or weed, and I don't want to lose her. Oh, fuck. She said she's going to start camming! She didn't know which platform, but she asked me if I had a camera, and then we were taking cedula / face photos.
Stay tuned! I'll pass along any info I get, in that regard.

The stuff belonged to a former NFL running back and his wife, who had been an athlete at the you of Idaho. Don't ask me his name either, because I could never remember it. He made a small splash with either Minnesota or Denver, was traded to the other then blew out his knee. His career lasted 4 or 6 years.
At less than 30 he was receiving a lifetime medical pension that was enough to support him in a nice middle class neighborhood in NJ. Lifetime free medical included. Had he chosen, he could have found a good job anywhere in the country which, when added to his wife's potential income would put them comfortably at the top of middle class. Instead a friend from the NFL got him a position as a sport's agent. He figured to eventually earn $300-500 k year until he managed to land a 1st rounder, which would put him in the big money. He settled in NJ instead of gambling and moving into the city because it was zero risk. If him and his wife never made a nickel, they could still live in a safe, nice neighborhood and be comfortable.
Yes, NFL players abuse their bodies. There are serious potential long term risks. Yes, many of them, at least in years past weren't aware of the risks. However, as of the new NFL CBA a rookie will earn a minimum of $610 k their first year. If they're a star add in endorsements. Not a bad starting salary. And if they are medically forced to retire, there's not only the pension but the hero factor. A degree, plus a stint in the NFL. Someone is going to hire you.
Between 32-55% of all sex workers experience workplace violence every year. They get every type of violence from everyone. From their customers to their families, to the police. In many parts of the world, they don't even have any legal recourse. If they go to the police, they go to jail. They suffer sexual, physical and mental abuse and encounter mental and physical health problems as a result, including PTSD. They are often socially stigmatized. They are at an increased risk of disease, unwanted pregnancy and HIV.
And the obscene amount of money they make? Believe it or not it's less than $610,000 per year. In Colombia most of them are earning under $5 k US per year. I know a few who were smart. They saved their money until they could buy a used moto for $500. They used the moto to make extra money and saved that, then they established themselves with a business. Now they are earning $6-$10 k annually working 60 hour weeks and seeing a few old regulars.
There aren't many success stories. A few land a position as a trophy wife. Some make it as a model. Most have about 10 years before they age out. Then what? There's no pension plan. The best many can hope for is a pretty daughter to carry on the family business.
Comparing prostitution to the life of an NFL lineman? Free college. Minimum salary in upper class bracket. Retirement plan. Free healthcare and mental health care. I'm pretty sure that every working girl in Colombia would take that job at 10% of the salary.
Yes, there's always drama. Yes, there are many who actually enjoy the work and the lifestyle. But to pretend that they're all living the dream and rolling in cash is ridiculous. The closest you could come is that it's just like most blue collar jobs. Some employees love their jobs, some hate them, most just go to work and try not to think about it. Some are overpaid, most are underpaid. Some have excellent working conditions, most have shitty working conditions.
