If you're making an appointment, remember she has a lot more issues to deal with than you. Don't try to set up something last minute. It rarely works with your friends at home, why think it will be any different in another country? Try it sometime. Thursday night, 8:30 pm, call a friend and ask him to meet you at a strip club at 9:15. If he's got a wife, kids, girlfriend, dog, job, etc, he's not going to show.

Plan ahead. Find out when they can be there. If she can be there at 7, tell her 7 is perfect and plan on 8. Hit her up at 6 and see if any issues have come up. Hit her up again at 7. Meanwhile, enjoy your dinner, have a drink, catch up on email and chat up the girls you want for tomorrow. Chances are she'll be at your door between 7:45 and 8:30. You really didn't lose any time and you can enjoy yourself.

Everybody rolls different and has a different tolerance level in how they personally deal with Chicas being on time. For some, like yourself, if a Chica arrives an hour or too late, no problem. But for others like myself, that doesn't work for me, and others on this board.

It appears you are confused about the meaning of respect. 99% of these girls have no respect for you, me or any other monger. They're showing up to do a job, usually for a complete stranger. You can treat them like shit, or you can treat them like a queen and you'll end up with the same amount of respect. The bottom line is did you pay? I always get some "tail" when I want. No hoping required. I also rarely have any problems with girls being late, even though girls are always late. It's simple. I understand how things work. I don't try to change an entire country to meet my needs. I don't set myself to get pissed off and fail to succeed at the sole reason why I traveled to the country.

I'll repeat it again. Work into their schedule, instead of working them into your schedule. Adjust your expectations to fit their reality. Surely you've been around women at some point in your life. What does it mean when a woman (any nationality) tells you "I'll be ready in 5 minutes?" It means, sit down and get comfortable, you've got at least 20 minutes to kill. If you tell her to meet you at a restaurant at 9 pm, she's not walking in until 9:15. Colombians are no different. Set something up for 4 pm, when a taxi is going to take 30-45 minutes to get to you and she's still not walking out the door until 4:15. Very few of them will ever think about the travel time or traffic.

If you know she's not leaving until 4:15 for your 4 pm appointment, then why hold the unreasonable expectation that she'll be at your door at 4:20 or 4:30? Set your appointment at 3 and she'll be there between 4 and 4:30. Set it for 4 and she'll arrive between 5 and 5:30. Tell her one time and expect the other. Consider it a different time zone, if that helps.

Is your method working? How often do you have an issue with a girl being seriously late, or telling her not to bother coming? How often do you have to resort to a backup plan? What's the average wait time for plan "be" to arrive?

My method works for me over 90% of the time. I don't have to scramble to find a replacement. I don't have to wait for the replacement. I don't have to deal with finding a replacement for the replacement, because she's not going to be on time either.

You have to manage your expectations. I don't think it has anything to do with being an American; it is just common sense. Most of the girls I see are between 18 - 21; there is no way they can think like someone in their 30's. Being punctual and professional is the last thing they care about at that age. If an 18-year-old is overly obsessed about punctuality and professionalism, then I don't want to spend time with her. In my experience, it's much easier to run a quick and simple analysis in your head to predict their actual arrival time than trying to change the behavior of an 18-21-year-old. Open communication helps, talk to them, check their status, you can quickly tell whether they are juggling between multiple guys they are banging or truly stuck in traffic.

If you treat them well and get them to like you, you can let them know that you hate tardiness; next time, they will prioritize you over other things. The older I get, the more I realize that flexing your muscles at an 18-year-old often will not get you what you want. You are on vacation, tranquilo, don't let a few teenage girls push you into stereotyping.

For the members that say Colombian men don't put up with tardiness from the girls. How do you know this. Seems like a blanket statement. I imagine they are late with everyone. I have Mongered in many countries and girls are always late period. It's not a American guy thing. Do you guys poll Colombian guys to come to this conclusion. I grew up with sisters and they always hogged the bathroom for hours. It's just a girl thing, and you combine the fact they are hookers and want to say yes to whatever time you say makes it worse. When I was in Brazil all the Brazilian guys said Brazilian girls are always late. They would tell me subtract a minimum of 30 minutes from the actual time you want them there.

As for apps, Duolingo is the best app I have found. It has a free version and an paid that works offline. It is designed for anyone (any idiot like me) it builds you up slowly from simple to complex sentences. .

Thanks for the recommendation. Duolingo is incredible, I've downloaded it, and I currently spend about 1.5 hours a day on it. Little did I know, after spending 70+ days in Medellin in the last six months, I picked up quite a bit of Spanish already.

If you want to spend money, buy Rocket Spanish program. I bought the third level (last level) because I had already gained a lot of progress, but you might start the first level. Great program, but a little expensive at 150 a level.

Takes time. But so fucking worth it.

Thank you so much for your advice. I don't mind spending some money to learning Spanish, and I will give Rocket's Spanish program a try, probably start with the trial version. I am debating between getting a private tutor, attend a group class, and assign up for an online tutor program. Regardless of which option I choose, I will keep practice daily on Duolingo.

I agree with Mr. E and Turgid on their thoughts on this matter, and you as well.

Whenever I set up an appointment with one of my El Centro regulars I always inform them that they cannot be late as I will not tolerate it, but I do at times. If they are not on time, and haven't called me with a legitimate excuse and won't be more than 30 minutes late, I tell them I am not available. So after they have missed a pay day, and have been benched, they now pretty much show up on time.

For others, some of which that I schedule a day or too out, I am much more flexible as things come up regarding their kids or whomever (boyfriend).

Guys would have less problems with Chicas being late, especially with regulars who are repeat offenders by, 1) benching them when they are going to be late thereby missing a payday, and 2) communicating your expectations as you have outlined. Whether it be an El Centro Chica, or a FayBoo Chica, missing a payday is huge for them. For a Fayboo Chica who gets say 200 K, that's basically 4 days pay at the minimum wage.

I understand Colombians are typically late, and lot of guys who set up a meeting for 2 PM are thrilled if they show up by 3 PM, but I believe once a Chica has missed a payday, at least with someone who has communicated very clear what their expectations are, they will be more punctual. This is what I have experienced.
