Here are 2 reasons to go to Colombia over Brazil.

1. At least for me, flights are much cheaper and shorter to Colombia.

2. Spanish is a useful language in almost every country in Central and South America and the Caribbean, as well as Spain.

I've been told by people who I trust that Brazil is much better, but when the quality in the clubs and the scoping incidents generally don't concern me, and when I have excellent reasons to return to Colombia, it's not an easy sell.

I'm not trying to sell Brazil by any means. But, all these things mentioned are actually positives and help to prevent Brazil from taking the kind of dive that places like Sosua and Cartagena have taken. The only obstacle for Rio was the cleanup that occurred around the Olympics when Help was closed. Any other barriers like Portuguese actually help those willing to put in the work. The critical mass will wind up in Colombia / Sosua because it's easier and cheaper. Easy will always attract more pants sagging.

My last trip to Med was exactly one year ago. Zandaly girls were not so cute anymore, New Life girls, well I just had a beer for presentation and left, Nueva Avenida some girls cute but in minority. For fb: I was quoted in US dollars and dates were very hard to set up. Girls on fb now having travel photos from Paris and one I know moved to Spain. However, maybe fb might still work but it's not easy, maybe others are having more luck. For me Medellin lost it's charm. Thanks to You Tube and Covid war our Hobby has become hustle. It's not what it was 4-5 years ago before gringo tsunami.

I'll try Bogota few more times or maybe I'll just find new hobby.

I have been finding a bunch of pretty 18 year old girls recently on Facebook. They always seem eager to meet with me. They always tell me that they have problems finding gringo clients on Facebook. That is totally right. Like you said with New Orleans, the same is true in Juarez / El Paso. Juarez is the 3rd most dangerous city in the world whereas El Paso, being right across the border, is the 3rd safest big city in America. https://kisselpaso.com/el-paso-once-...-us-city-list/.

The reason is the drug cartels doing the shooting keep their shit on their side of the border. The tourists are not targeted. They may be collateral damage, but the cartels are paid protection money by businesses in Juarez and they do not want American tourists to quit coming.

In Rio, two of the three guys in my group were mugged. In the tourist area, the cops did not give a shit. The other mugging was in the center of town where it is more locals, and the police response was robust.

Tourists are fair game in Medellin and Rio.

Medellin has gone the Thailand way. Became too popular, girls found a way to work abroad and have moved en masse. All the best performers in Thailand that I have known for over 15 years are outside Thailand now, even working in such unlikely places as Georgia and Africa.

Also gents, please see the links below. Medellin did not even make it in the top 50 most dangerous cities in the world, Cali Colombia made it to number 24. You will see more cities in the USA, and Brazil that made the list and of course Mexican cities by far outnumber the rest.

The sad fact is that if they really band together and start asking 500 k, guys will pay it, or they will be circle jerking each other. Many of those Mansion guys would never come to Colombia if not for the Mansion, so they are paying whatever is asked since they would be too scared to stay anywhere else.

For Colombianas it's Mexico. Mexico is for them what USA is for Mexicans. Couple of lookers I see spend 3 months at a time in Mexico City and Playa del carmen. Mexican and US guys on business pay for their flights, hotels, another 500 US per day. Once there, they go on Tinder and Seeking and book guys once they need money. I imagine they aren't the only ones. Thing is, they will eventually have to come home to Colombia, then need money again and here we are.

In order of cleanliness. Mostly are all in a row if you look on Google Maps..

I was not referring to the Hotels on the backstreet where they don't change the sheets and there are no bathrooms in the rooms.

All of the Love Motels within 150 feet of the Veracruz Fountain have bathrooms, towels, and hot water so I consider them clean.

As far as the rates for the Hotels you quoted, the Zona Rosa is directly in front of the Veracruz Fountains about 40 feet away and is about 15 K for short time.

And it changes the sheets, has towels, and hot water so need to be paying 30 K elsewhere, and clean enough for me.

There's a high probability that you can pick up a case of Scabies from one of the Hotels you mention that are in a row.

To make it simple for you, if you stand at the Fountain in the Veracruz Church courtyard, you will be able to see at least five short term love motels within 150 feet which will be clean and safe, albeit not the cheapest around.

Casa Botero (now owned by Mandala) $47,000 for 3 hours. (This makes no sense. Receptionist said they are trying to make it a family type hotel). FYI They offer free coffee, tea, and cereal breakfast. 4 rooms painted and 1 being painted now. Expect prices to keep going up as improvements keep being made).

Mairuba $18,000 for 2 or 3 hours. (past on information to me from guy last week).

The rest are pretty much different levels of dirty and uncomfortable.

I've been around El Cento day and night for over a week and haven't had any problems. The entire place is deserted on Sunday, and I've had no problems thus far. In the meantime, I reserve rooms at Hotel Alcazar or Hotel Conquistadores to rest.

You are clueless. I do not have the time to list all the things I have seen and things that have been told to me by others. Botero area is dangerous. So are other areas, even Poblado.

Last time I was here was 2 years ago. There are around 15% less girls, working less hours so harder to find, and the quality is down 15%. No, I did not count them or use a spreadsheet. It is my guesstimate. But all the other guys have said the same thing.
