Too fat, too thin, too ugly, too old, too young, too expensive, too cheap, too dangerous, too hot, too polluted, too socialist. No way am I going there.

With all these reports on scoping and the quality at the clubs down, there is no reason to go to Colombia over Brazil. Brazilian girls are better in every way.

I found a nice Apt in Beléand, Malibu, and it's in a strato 5 area / upscale part of Medellin. Since this maybe long-term is anyone here familiar with that area? In terms of nightlife of course for adult clubs and casas? I can find the food and Exitos by myself or use Rappi LOL. I don't want to take an uber for 30 min each time to go toward New Life in la Candelaria area.

That's why I made that post earlier about this.

The Scopolamine we used to read about was basically to rob the gringo where he'd wake up later and had zero knowledge of what he's done. Pretty much sounded like an hypnosis. Maybe a special dosage or recipe from Col which became even an urban myth. Like a zombie drug LOL. But lately it seem whatever drug or special mix they're using is actually killing tourists. Perhaps it's related to the protests in medellin that they hate tourists, they want us to leave since we've inflated many aspects of their local economy there? Pretty extreme. Dangerous nowadays.

If in Col I'd def stay away from main tourist spots since last reports confirm dudes were targetted from El Poblado specifically beside the typical Tinder type apps.

    Be careful out there.

    Centro Casa Talent

    The talent evaporated.

New Life: Was my go to but on this trip there's a ton of fatties / grandmas and only like 3-4 girls who aren't who are usually taken.

Dulce: Lots of fatties here as well, maybe like one or two girls who are okay.

Club Sexy Amigas: I went there in the morning and there was only one girl available. Other girls went in and out with robes and a few girls were just getting in but all of them were flat as a pancake (not fat though). I'll probably go check it out one or two more times to see if I just got really unlucky.

Over the past few. Years, I've gotten at least like five or so 7's to 9's to choose from. This trip seems like a dud. The only girls that seem semi worth it are the girls I have on dial (from previous casa trips) but they are flaky and usually requires 4-8 hours. Where are all the hot girls hiding in centro? Anyone know of any decent casas in centro?

Not seeing another word about this news has to make you wonder how many other similar incidents are unknown.

You can estimate the problem is at least twice as bad as it appears.

Read my recent post in Colombia general information and be careful.

Colombia has gone to hell. Can't believe so many are risking their lives for a little stanky.

Take it from a long term resident, it is fucking dangerous here now, real dangerous.

Everyone knows it even the USA Government knows it. Read their state department advisory now for Colombia.

    It is no bullshit.
It's been covered here extensively why many guys won't report when something bad happens to them. There's a certain amount of embarrassment, because afterwards you ask yourself "why didn't I see that coming?" You let your guard down, or get distracted at the wrong time and you find yourself the victim.

For at least the last 10 years the State Department has had a warning about visiting Colombia. It's always been dangerous, not much has changed. Drugging and robbing guys has been around for at least that long. Not many years ago they officially ended a 50 year Civil War, although there are still groups fighting in remote areas. The drug trade has always added risks. Toss in corruption and poverty and there are going to be risks.

If it's so dangerous, why are you just now saying something about it and planning to leave? It didn't suddenly become dangerous last week. If I'm ever someplace where "I can't believe so many are risking their lives", I'm on the next plane out. If that means abandoning everything I own, so be it. Ain't no piece of furniture worth more than my life. At least not to me. I'm sure there are guys here who would gladly trade my life for a decent recliner.

Most risks are manageable. Most of the guys here manage the risks quite well.

FWIW it's technically Summer in Medellin now (all of Colombia is north of the Equator). It's winter in (most of) Brasil, Argentina, Chili, Paraguay. Those countries are all or for the most part South of the Equator.

Barcelona Casa seems like interesting find. Which case is it closest to?
31° isn't particularly hot, especially with the low humidity and the altitude. Of course it depends on what you're acclimated to.

Although these days air conditioning is usually a feature in the places where I stay, I had no issues at all in August without air conditioning. By 9 pm every night, temperature drops to 16-18° see, perfect for sleeping.

As a bonus, for those who stay in Laureles or other western areas, every afternoon there's a strong breeze coming down the mountain. It does an excellent job of keeping the temperature bearable.

Almost daily 4 PM rainstorms are about to begin. That will be the end of the heat wave until late December. I was in Milla de Oro a couple of nights last week. There are a lot more foreign tourists coming here these days than I remember.

Unfortunately it's global warming, not only here, but everywhere it seems like in the world.

And yes, unless your totally in the shade, AC is a must.

Under various names, that casa has been reported on for more than 10 years in this forum. Like all the others the quality has its ups and downs. Worldwide temperatures are rising, oh well.

It's always been dangerous here, however I don't think Colombia has gone to hell and become a lot more dangerous over the past decade.

And I think that a large percentage of the guys who get jacked up could of avoided the situation if they had been more cautious, albeit a lot of times are thinking with their little heads when going with Chicas.

And I agree with you that guys getting jacked up is way more prevalent than reported, but again believe getting jacked up can be reduced if using some common sense and taking precautionary measures when going with Chicas as has been suggested by other posters.

Unfortunately you can never let your guard down here as you can get jacked up when you least expect it.

Yes, guest friendly. Your guest needs a Cedula. If you booked the stay for 2 people, they won't charge you extra. Don't know what happens if you booked for 1 person.

There are at least 4 casas within a 5 minute walk of Barcelona. Excuse my spelling Zandly, Sexy Amicas are the best ones.

I don't find that interesting. It's pretty well known that a lot of these guys are married and don't want people to know what happened, too cool and don't want their people to know and / or just too embarrassed or just don't have the time or interest to make anything out of it. I know guys that have been drugged and robbed and still continue to come to Medellin. At this point, I think dudes just charge it to the game and are willing to take the risk.
