Layover is 3 and a half hours, so you have plenty of time. Or you can fly direct from Indianapolis to Miami for $20 more buy layover is waaay longer.

My happiest moments on here are when I learn something new.

I can do that round trip for about $350, if I take a day layover in Miami / FLL, for the date range of my next trip. Which might not work because I may be doing a 3 way trip. First a weekend in Las Vegas, then to MDE, then home to IND. Depends on some other plans.

Never knew about the FLL to MIA train, which changes things. Fares to / from MIA are usually much higher than FLL for me. Fortunately, I travel light, just a carry on and a small backpack.
