I have not been to MDE in nearly a decade and my have things changed. I must look like a mark because I am being quoted these crazy ass prices by these girls. I went to Fase Dos last night -there werent that many great looking women in there. First, I made the mistake of sitting at a table, I was told I needed to order a bottle for the priviiledge of sitting there, I took my ass to the bar -tried to observe the lay of the land. I saw one babe -decided to ask how much--she said 600 K pesos LOOOOOLLLLLLLLL, I ran out of there, took Uber to La Isla -supposedly the best but when I got there -there were a few cuties but overall avg looking babes.

I also went to Lutron, I was quoted 300 K for one hour, had an expensive beer and left. Is that the correct price?

Lutron's price is about right. Fase Dos is 200 K. Other members have been quoted the same crazy price. You need to negotiate when you get the 600K price. Thursday and Friday nights are better at La Isla.

What happen if you like the first or second place and the rest suck, not to mention that you are wasting a lot of time moving between places? You try to solve one problem by creating a whole new set of issues.

Perhaps another way to look at staying places in Colombia should be considered. As an example, I visited Santa Marta earlier this year. I booked a room at the Marriot, which had an Olympic pool, ocean views, AC, Netflix, etc. In a relatively safe neighborhood, and in addition to this, I rented a room with AC adjacent to the street scenes there for 60,000 COP a night for my entire stay. I made it clear with the front desk what I would be doing, ie. Bringing in random girls to dump loads in, and no problem, they were just happy to rent the room. And I had no intention of bringing any of the girls I pulled off the street to the Marriot.

So as an example, a guy could stay say in Laureles or Poblado in a nice neighborhood, with lots of nice places to eat around, kind of like a little "safer haven", and I say that lightly, given being held up at gunpoint recently in Poblado, and besides this place, have a room at ground zero always available. Makes perfect sense to have two places if the money is not an issue and fits how you like to roll. For those not into El Centro though, just ignore this post and head directly to one of the Hotels you mentioned.

I use my regular Facebook page. I don't recommend this for most people, but I have a couple of reasons why it works for me.

1. I'm an open book. Any regular friends and family on my Facebook aren't going to be too surprised if someone points out I'm seeing hookers in Medellin. Most will ask to see some pictures.

2. I'd rather not switch back and forth between accounts.

I do have security set up a bit tighter than normal. It limits the exposure between the two groups of friends. I also don't make a habit of commenting every time a chica puts up a picture. I've set up a friend list that's just the Medellin chicas. Occasionally, if I want to post something just for chicas, I can make it so it's only visible for them.

I used my real FB as well despite what many say on the forum. I don't have any co workers on my fb and my family knows what's up with me. Mr E, depends on how motivated they are, I had 4 dates with FB girls and they all arrived on time more or less. Even one arrived earlier than set date. Fine little 19 year old thing. Medellin treated me right, I made a few missteps but that's on me. I'll def be back ASAP.

Since my trip was 10 days, I didn't want to book 1 place and then have it not work out well. Figure with 3 different places, at least 1 will be chica friendly and I'll get to try more different things.

I've done tantric massage in Thailand before and it was great. That was actually what made me interested in learning a little about it but maybe that'll need to be for my next trip back there. I actually was thinking of doing the guatape trip but there is a deal on trip advisor for only 37 $. I know it's a little more expensive than doing it myself but it should be significantly more convenient with their transportation and boat ride and I'm hoping I'll be able to meet other tourists. Hi everyone,

I just wanted to thank you guys quickly for helping me plan my upcoming trip. I'll be doing quite a bit of exploring during my trip so I should be able to have a lot to report back. I'm planning on staying at the mansion, a couple nights at an Airbnb, a couple nights at energy living and a couple nights at hotel Madeira. I was planning on hitting up the mansion, fb girls, casas, and clubs so hopefully I can experience a little of everything.

One thing I was curious about was the massages here. Is there a place where I can get the masseuse to teach me a little about massaging as well as getting FS? I figure pretty much every massage place does FS but I was hoping to learn a little bit myself.

In Bogota there are plenty of massage places which are just full service brothels. There are only a few like that in Medellin. From my experience the girls there know nothing about massage.

There are plenty of regular massage spas in Medellin where you can get an excellent massage, but you're unlikely to get any more than a handjob. You'll pay more for the good massage and handjob than you'll pay for the lousy massage and full service.

One Sunday I headed over to park Periodista to hang out. I had been there many times both day and night and have drank and watched smokers etc. Well this particular night it had few people. I bought a large Aguela Light and started drinking by one of the flower boxes next to the street when a policeman walked up to me and told me that I was in a park and there are laws against drinking in a park. My mind flashed on all the times I had been there and what goes on and thought well this may be a shakedown. I apologized and told him that I didn't know about the law and then asked if it was OK to pour it in the flower box. He gave e me a look like he couldn't believe my question and said no seor please finish it, just don't buy another. He thought it was crazy to waste a beer. Better to let me break the law than waste a beer. No shakedown, no hassle. Maybe I was lucky but a story I've told many times even to cops in USA who would never be as nice.

Had a similar situation in Parque Lleras. Bought beers and sat in the park to drink them. Cop came up and said we couldn't drink in the park. We thanked him, got up walked 20 feet out of the park and continued drinking.

I think you don't have to worry about drink price. The most expensive places like Gusto are still under 10 USD a drink. The most expensive beer at Beer Store by Lleras park is about 15 mils. Beers are cheaper in El Centrol. The lowest price I know at places where you can have sex on site cost about 4 or 5 mils for local beer. Strip clubs cost just a little more. The lowest price I have seen is 2 beers for 5 mils in a local bar.

There may be a per chica charge if you book the whole day. Pollo Negro has a recent report about it. The places also have rates for multiple hours. You should just go talk to the front desk to work out a deal since you are fluent in Spanish. Sometimes you can just give a tip, they will let you stay longer.

I think you are staying at the wrong location.

Hot water is not reliable. Some rooms may have it if you are lucky.

And I chose to stay at an air bnb in estadio because it is right by the metro, $12 a night (private place), and next to calle 70 for night life. I won't be bringing any girls overnight, I like my own space LOL! I don't want to hang out in Lleras with gringos and over priced pros, and I don't mind getting a taxi or metro to centro every morning.

Anyone ever run into problems bringing sex toys and lingerie into Medellin if they check your bags at customs? Haha. I don't care what they think about me, but I worry they could turn me away because I look like a sex tourist with a porno kit in my bags.

Rare to have your bags checked on entry, out of 4 trips they did X-ray my luggage once but never opened it any of the times.

Forgive the newbie question, please. Colombia will be a new experience for me. I live in the US and have spent ALOT of time in Tijuana over the last three years. But looking to branch out.

While I enjoy many aspects of the game, I enjoy the chase. Finding a SG for a quick 30 minutes has its place. But a good night for me is chilling with a fun chica for a while over drinks, flirting and then heading back to my place. I spent a lot of time reading and I'm considering Lleras a must visit at least one or two nights. I have a pretty good understanding of the chica pricing structure. But, what should I expect for drink pricing at a bar? Is there a gringo price and an inflated chica price? I ask because in my Tijuana trips, I often spend more money on alcohol than chicas. I'm just trying to get an idea on prices. Thanks for any guidance!

Gusto's drink price is approaching the price of a dive bar in San Francisco. I almost always spend more money on drinks than on girls. The most I have ever spent was 700 dollars on drinks in one night at Gusto, I bought multiple bottles of whiskey and was buying rounds left and right. I had a great time, but it did hurt my wallet a little bit (no regrets though, I will do it again in a heart beat). If you want a VIP style party; drink, dance and play with a group of super hot chicas all night, Gusto is the place to go. Compare to Europe, Vegas, NYC and San Francisco, Gusto is extremely affordable. I would have easily dropped 5000+ dollars (which is way above my budget) had I partied elsewhere. Paradise and la isla are another overpriced places where you can easily spend hundreds of dollars on drinks. Other than those three places, as far as I know, all other bars and clubs in Medellin are very affordable. Drinks cost about 1/3 to 1/5 the price of gusto and paradise.

I'm headed to MDE finally for 9 days in January. After reading the past 200 pages and taking notes I have 2 questions:

1) What are the up to date hrly hotels with hot water in centro? I understand hotel premier plaza (16 k), Calle real (22 k), and hotel zona rosa (13 k) are the main ones. (and possibly Ensensonte (12 k) along with these.).

I understand these are hourly rates, Do they have daily rates as well, say if I wanted to set up camp there? I'm looking to bring the SW back for 2 leches, say spend an hour and half with each one for GFE, shower and shit. I figure 50-60 k will do the trick.

2) how much is a good tip for the front desk / door guys? 5 k? 10 k? Considering I'm going to be spending all of my 8 days hanging out in centro though I'm staying near estadio, I want to make sure I get good treatment from the staff. I'm fluent in Spanish.

In answer your questions. The rates you posted for short time are correct but are really good for a couple of hours, versus one hour. At the Calle Real you will get three hours for 22 K or it's 60 K for all night. At the Zona Rosa they are not licensed to accept foreigners overnight so it's not an option. I don't know what the overnight rate is at Premium Plaza but probably around 60 K a night as well. As far as multiple guests if your renting by the day, you need to confirm that there is no extra charge for bringing in more than one girl a day. Your best option for this will probably be the Premium Plaza Hotel. Get a room on an upper floor in the middle of the building if your staying at Premium Plaza overnight. Make sure you have a legible color copy of your Passport along with a photocopy of your date of entry into the Country, you will need this for renting overnight. And if your going to be doing an overnight with a Chica, they will need a copy of their Cedula or other ID. They are very strict about this for someone staying overnight so make sure they have ID which may be an issue with some of the girls, I know from first hand experience about this, so I am giving you a heads up. Short time won't be an issue, and most places won't ask to see anybody's ID, as long as they look old enough.

In regards to tipping. A 10 K tip is huge, you can get girls for as low as 20 K. I use both the Premium Plaza and Zona Rosa a lot and tip anywhere from 1 to 2 K to the reception girls for short time use. It may sound cheap, but trust me it's not. Just the idea of someone getting a tip is almost unheard of in these hotels and when I arrive they give me an extra towel and soap. I guess I am a preferred guest at these establishments. There are lots of 5 K Hotels on the backside of the Church, so 5 K as a tip is way too much as well, unless your staying overnight, etc. And they are changing towels for you etc. Then it's warranted.
