Uber eats charges a bit more for delivery fee but I notice they service all the same restaurants as Rappi plus a few others. I recommend getting an account on both. I'm pretty sure you can change the language setting on uber eats. Check that, I haven't actually tried the language setting but I think I remember seeing the option.

Medellin has a lot of very good burger places that in my opinion are much better than Mcdonalds, Firehouse and Home Burgers come to mind. There is an app called Rappi that is Colombia's version of Uber Eats, Postmates, Doordash, etc. The only problem is that it is in Spanish so you my need to use Google Translator, I am not proficient in Spanish and I made it work. Its way cheap compared to say Uber Eats though and you then have a world of food at your fingertips. You will see Rappi delivery guys everywhere if you keep your eyes open.

I think it needs to have a context. New comers will pay higher price, and it is location dependent. There are still far fewer mongers visiting Medellin than other popular destinations. It is hard to see the normal price increase much.

People overpaying in Poblado, affects the price in Poblado. At least it affects the price right up to the point when the girl who used her last 20 k for the taxi to Parque Lleras realizes she's going to be stuck walking back to Bello.

The girl in Gusto is going to hold out for 400 k, all the way to closing time. When she's standing around, watching all the customers disappear, her price becomes a lot more negotiable.

However, the small number of girls in Lleras being overpaid by the small group of gringos doesn't change the price in the casas or on the streets of El Centro. It doesn't change the price on Facebook.

Wow. You have nothing to apologize for. I can't believe this many people grilled you for simply sharing your experience. I know people who paid 60 dollars to bring girls back in their first week, once they become more informed, they found better arrangements. Try Airbnb, energy living is a pretty good place, but for me, the location is a little off, there is nothing around it (within walking distance). When you book AirBnb, make sure you look thoroughly through the house rules. You want to make sure they allow guests and there is no explicit language against sex tourism. Ideally you want a place that has a private entrance in a local neighborhood, where you can easily go downstairs to get food and booze. You can ask the Airbnb host about the entrance arrangement. Places like energy living is OK, what I don't like about it is the 24/7 door man, I normally bring back 2 to 3 girls a day and I do one to two threesome a week. It is awkward for a dude in his thirties to bring back a pair 18 year-old in the morning and another pair in the night. If you only like hotels, I stayed at hotel San Fernando in Poblado once, it is very close to Lleras. They allow you to bring chicas back for free.

As for the price you are paying, it is a bit high for one hour stay. Feel free to ask them to party with you all night, most of the girls will be happy to do anything for 500 k pesos, and if they like you, they will throw in some hot morning sex as well. During the day time, if you just want sex, give Facebook Chica a try, you can get GFE+ for 150-300 k pesos, depending the kind of service you desire. 150-200 k will get you the standard GFE, anything more than that you have to negotiate. You don't need to apologize to anybody, you were in the candy store and overwhelmed by everything. And compared to a lot of other venues in the world, what you paid would not of been exorbitant, but here as your finding out, and in great detail by the other members of this board. Actually there are portions of the Rappi App that are in English so using the App with no Spanish skills is possible. The real issue is going to be understanding all the terms used for food. And Google translator may fumble on some of them. But for simple stuff like Pasta it's pretty straight forward and the typical delivery fee is about $ 1 USD, and it's actually faster at times than going out someplace to eat. However, ordering items like french fries and other things that are best eaten right away, and or pizzas are not good choices. Probably the best items are Pasta dishes as I have had pretty good luck with those types of dishes. Typically by the time I order food via Rappi, it's at my doorstep 45 minutes later. A good choice when you don't want to go out, and as far as Burgers, there are tons of places with good burgers besides McDonalds as you mentioned.

I am staying in Poblado Plaza. Only a snob would not find this hotel very nice. I can safely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Medellin. Everything has been very nice here, except they don't really speak English and the 60.00 USD fee to bring a guest to my room. The front desk kinda seemed like he didn't totally approve of me bringing a guest up, but I can see where he is coming from.

I signed up at Body Tech Gym, in case anyone is looking for a nice gym. Way too expensive. It was 80.00 USD for a month's membership and they didn't do shorter memberships. The gym itself is very nice though.

If you get a membership to the forum and obtain Private Messaging I will tell you a very classy place to stay in Poblado where you do not have to pay to get chicas to your room, and I will even tell you how to get the chicas delivered there. From a catalog, so to speak.

She charged me 200,000, plus it was 60.00 USD fee to bring her to my room. I probably could have negotiated down, but she was extremely friendly and fun. She did GFE and DFK. I sent her on her way after we were done and the night was young, so I went to Fase Dos. All the girls were very attractive. Some can be a bit pushy. I stayed about an hour and a half. Didn't get any of the girls, but one girl started out at 600,000 for 2 hours or so and eventually went down to 200,000 for 45 minutes. I still wasn't interested and didn't get her. I then went to Gusto's. Again the girls seemed very friendly in there and I took a very beautiful 22 year old out for an hour. She charged me 450,000 pesos. Again GFE and DFK. I should have negotiated but I was very drunk at this point. We got a short time hotel, it was very very nice. It was called Ibiza Hotel I think. It was 33.00 USD for the hour.
